Heckler...

Tanz, I'm glad you found my blog interesting... some hecklers have stated ALL my blogs are boring.

RE: Confused

Change your photo. Masks won't get a man's attention.
The photo of you seated on a plan is the best choice.

RE: God Himself Could Not Sink This Ship

Agreed, DiCaprio, a young man had the boyhood charm and better suited for the part.

RE: God Himself Could Not Sink This Ship

Side note:
Wasn't Titanic the movie that literally killed Billy Zane's career?

RE: God Himself Could Not Sink This Ship

I don't remember the exact details but some of the wealthiest people in the world were onboard and they didn't want to delay the voyage so lots of details were overlooked. Insufficient amount of lifeboats. One video described putting oil on the metal to coverup where the heat had changed the color.
Too many wrongs...

"being in the business for over 257 years"

People and not machines. I'm okay with that.
It's not broken, no need to fix it.
Those who are employed by Faber-Castell can surely appreciate that concept.

RE: God Himself Could Not Sink This Ship

I've seen lots of Titanic documentaries and always had an interest on the subject.

There are a handful of videos suggesting the heat from one of the boiler rooms may have weakened one of the bulkheads... the rest is history.

RE: Salt

In science class, salt was created by mixing sodium hydroxide with hydrochloric acid.
Alkaline and acid.

organic relates to yielding, or involving the use of food produced with the use of feed or fertilizer of plant or animal origin without employment of chemically formulated fertilizers, growth stimulants, antibiotics, or pesticides.

Giving out your personal information... the bait!

CH, I lived for SKYPE and had 2 accounts. One for business and one for internet friends.

Giving out your personal information... the bait!

One woman hitting on me had a story about her late father's fortune. She sent a photo of a suitcase filled with money and offered it to me if I married her!

Jim, were you into high-top sneakers?
I don't remember having a pair of high-tops.

Beatle Boots...

Are you giving me the boot? laugh

Tanz, clever in what way?

The Colonial Pipeline...

South Florida only felt the pain (for 2 days) because so many were hoarding gas.

The Colonial Pipeline...

bob, I've used gasoline additives for garden equipment and generators. I'd be wary to use it in my car.
Around here some stations sell 'recreation gas' which is unleaded without ethanol. I'm told that eliminates problems in long-term storage.

The Colonial Pipeline...

Ken, how long can you store gasoline before it starts to go bad?

Out of Stock...

Correction... For now, there is one item with plenty of stock. Toilet paper!

The Colonial Pipeline...

I read the ransomware fee was $5 million and Colonial paid it to get their services back online. Reportedly the attack was related to a Russian source.

The Colonial Pipeline...

The panic is over. South Florida is back online. No lines no waiting on a few stations I drove by this afternoon. Filling up and the guy at the pump across from me said he went by 6 stations without gas and lucky to hit the one I was at.

Two opposites within a few miles of each other.

YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary)

The Colonial Pipeline...

My local station with 12 pumps always has a line waiting. No cars this evening. No gas.

Yahoo posted an interactive map with states who are affected:

What happened to hospitals being short-staffed and overloaded during the pandemic?

I think House was known to take cat naps in the morgue... laugh

Sleep deprivation... and the VBAR

I was a musician in my teens and used to late hours.
The helicopter hobby came around the age of 23 and started all-nighters again building and maintenance. Catch 2 hours and go flying.
Around the age of 40 my father was very sick and I took some part-time jobs to care for him until his passing.
I could never figure out if the cat naps were to catch up from the night before or getting ahead for the rest of the day. I averaged 6 hours sleep. 4 at night and 2 between jobs.

Something to consider... that would put every ER doctor or paramedic in the same risk pool.

Songs I don't get tired of hearing...

PROCOL HARUM - A Whiter Shade Of Pale
While there are more than 20 different versions over the years and singer Gary Brooker's voice improved as he aged. This is one of the older performances with overdubbed sound.
I like it because it's one of the early live performances.
Interesting note, guitarist Robin Trower was one of the founding members.

YouTube overload...

Windows 7
I rebooted, went for dinner and other things.
It's back to normal now.

thumbs up

YouTube overload...

2 hours later and I'm getting the same results...
