I've noticed that every time Onthcrestofawave blogs, a few minutes later Onthcrestofawave makes a comment. It's like clockwork. Especially when Onthcrestofawave comes back and makes a reply comment to Onthcrestofawave's comment.
History records the members of The Monkees being mediocre musicians. The banks was put together by management for their looks. What you heard on their records were their voices and studio musicians. This also happened in their live concerts as 'professionals' made the music and they appeared as front men. If I recall correctly, when it was time to renew contracts, they held out for artistic control of their recordings and it became the kiss of death to their careers...
Plush... The mattress I bought a few weeks ago has memory foam, but I was disappointed that it was too hard. Customer service processed a return credit and I bought a different model with a softer rating. I'll be sleeping on the new mattress tonight.
Flashing is a painters term when a repaired surface freshly painted didn't have enough sealer/primer and the top coat soaks into the porous area drying quickly giving a dull appearance only at the repair. I've got a few small areas that have 2 coats of paint and some flashing needs another coat. Scheduled this weekend.
2-17-2019 Sunday Finished touchup paint in the living room. Assembled the dining room table and chairs. Unboxed the sofa grouping and cut the cardboard boxes into manageable sizes for trash.

Hans, my first car was a BMW Isetta 600. You had to open the front 'door' to enter the vehicle and the assembly with steering wheel and dashboard moved with the door.

For the record... generations ago any talented mechanic could tweak the settings on timing and/or carburetor for performance or mileage. Now everything is controlled by computer and those settings are locked. My car has some lunging in first gear. I complained and they allowed me to test drive 2 other cars that both exhibited the same characteristics. Factory settings and no technician/mechanic I've talked to had the means to change it.
2-10-2019 I gave her the wood last night. A little tight at first, but it went in after some pushing. Not liking the bed slats from Ikea, I chose to replace them with a platform. 2 sheets of (furniture grade) plywood cut to size.
Almost there. The dressers are in boxes and scheduled to be assembled later in the week. We're starting to bring clothes and some food is in the refrigerator.
