Drc, do you have any first-hand experience with bone spurs, shin splints or heel spurs?
It can be a dull to sharp agonizing pain. What would cause a young man to have bone spurs so bad the army wouldn't take him in time of war... with only a doctor's note?? Hmmm... that makes me wonder.
I developed 'tennis elbow' in college, enough to quit the sport. In my 30's jogging on pavement brought on heel spurs and shin splints. The podiatrist cautioned against surgery and only as a last resort. He was a heavyset man who often went to the opera with his wife and wore foam innersoles with the shiny thin soled shoes as his feet ached by the end of the night. Yeah... the podiatrist had heel spurs.
Many factors like too much movement, wrong shoes, cold weather would be enough to bring on the pain.
Pain like that is ALWAYS there to haunt you.
So while you tried to play down Jim's response, the truth of the matter is someone his age to have had bone spurs bad enough as a young adult to be exempt from serving your country would be clearly evident today.
Home Depot closed at 5pm Monday and closed Christmas, so I didn't get a chance to get the much needed supplies.
We filled a contractor-size trash bag with all the ceiling popcorn. The dumpster at the condo warns 'no construction materials' so I stopped at the office as we have a 30 cubic yard dumpster in the back of the warehouse.
Primer applied today 12-24-2018 and the smooth ceiling passes my test. Very few flaws that I can correct by skim coat tomorrow with sandable drywall compound. If it's not too chilly I should be able to add more primer/sealer to the areas I touched up and final paint before dark!
I left out Paul McCartney who is 76 and kicking off a South American tour March 20, 2019 in Santiago, Chile. He performed in Fort Lauderdale nearly 10 years ago. I was fortunate enough to see him then.
Great show, but I'll only watch him again on YouTube...
It's Monday and I'm going over the ceiling with spackle compound touching up any flaws. After it's dry, I'll prime the drywall and do another round of touchup before final paint.
I've got internet and working from my laptop on a folding table. A few more days of painting in the schedule.
Thanks Red... too many things to do and move-in will be in lots of small trips.
Jim, the sellers are in their 70's so it's doubtful they actually handled any of the move out. No toilet paper on the holder... yes, empty rolls.
All the rooms have ceiling fans, 2 have light fixtures... with bulbs.
V, I don't know about the Clintons. the one gift I did get is a wall mounted TV bracket for a large (50 inch or greater) screen. We're not into (wall mounted) TV and or was removed (and the holes patched) on Wednesday.
The closet where the a/c unit and water heater are installed has some mold/mildew near the floor line. I suspect the original water heater had leaked and was replaced 7 years ago. That area is difficult to reach so I sprayed the walls with a product called Concrobium Mold Control.
Depending on my progress with painting, I'll vacuum the a/c duct work and spray the inside with Concrobium.
The weather is very cool this morning (58f) and I may postpone the painting until it warms up.
The unit was furnished and the previous owners used it for a winter retreat. No one had lived there in nearly a year. Dusty and musty, my first goal is to paint.
So far, 2 bedroom walls and closets are done. I'll do the ceilings this weekend.
The living room had blue walls so we painted with white first and expect to do the final color this weekend.
I measured the closets and will add additional shelves to the ones already installed. No linen closet so I'm planning to use part of closet #2 for that.
RE: The 'Great' Negotiator. lol
"But the current raise is already about twice of what obozo's was."That's Obama, as in president Barack Obama. Why do you have trouble getting his name correct?
