Just sang this to Madeline, my other cat, Ed's Mum. Not sure what she thought, but she enjoyed all the attention, even though I couldn't hit all the high notes.
I agree, and not trying to defend myself or defer responsibility, but it's been a tough road for a long time, and some days it's hard to see the good, in any situation. So, one seeks a place where they feel comfortable to speak their mind, and finds the worst places to express themselves, and sometimes in the not so positive of ways.
Maybe I should find a site dedicated to flower arrangements and paper doilies instead of this place.
Geezus Rob, I'm trying awfully hard to be pleasant on the forums since I started popping in again.
I will agree that the energy you put out matters, although I wonder how it comes back to one's self. I stayed away from here for a long time, seeing as this place seemed to make me feel negative towards others after reading the forums for a while. I dunno, maybe it's just me, or maybe it's the energy here, or the threads I chose to look at, read, and reply to. I have no doubt it was more to do with me, than it was with others, but there's always those that bring it out, if not just faster than the rest. Can't seem to help it, maybe the Devil made me do it.
As for the others reading our posts, it's a guarantee, and recorded, studied, and who knows, maybe even acted upon in some way. I know in North America, every cal, email, post is all saved and studied, at least for certain "words", and possibly for further scrutiny, or perhaps even prosecution.
Big Brother is watching, as are all his brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, and likely some of his extended intelligence family.
Besides, I really don't want to come here to educate people, especially on the history of their own country, as seen by everyone else on the planet, except for them. Or mention that brainwashing has had it's desired effect, as has propaganda.
Sorry Tom, this isn't even close to being believable.
After the US created, supported, trained, and armed ISIS, you think they'd actually issue a statement like this, without your CIA being involved, or more likely, writing it on their behalf?
Nothing like a little bit of laughing gas to get an old relic diesel fired up. It's out there cackling, belching smoke, and hopefully doesn't run out of oil before I get the trailer moved.
Yep, I do remember that pole, and well, it had it comin', just for being there.
Only a few broken branches here, so far anyway. I'm here with just the VW wagon right now, truck is still in that other city. Not too bad, the only place I've been kinda stuck is on my own driveway, but I made it out.
The other truck is being a pain, won't start. I last fired it in November when it was still warm, and my cousin stole one of the batteries, so I might be getting the ether out yet. With over a million K on it, it needs all the help it can get.
Drive safe, especially in your own yard....scuffing that you know what, might result in some deep sadness.
I really need to get one of the old Land Rovers back on the road for next winter, with the snow plow on it. That would make life a little easier, plus potentially make a few sheckles.
It was fairly quiet here too, until the plows finished up.
Still have the truck and trailer to dig out, over a metre of snow fell since last Friday night. It seems to have stopped snowing for the time being, but warm and sunny weather tomorrow, so I have to keep after it. I'm still debating whether to shovel off the roof, another 2800 sq ft of shoveling, seeing as i have no way to get the snowblower up there.
Crayola, I've been working since I was 12, I've earned my own living since then. I've never collected a dime on any sort of social assistance program or unemployment scheme. I've held my own, through everything I've ever been through, on my own, with a little help from family, but only once, when I was taking care of my Mom when she went through cancer, until she died.
It's been a hard life, but I've survived, and I'm doing well despite of it all. I'm not going to explain it all to you, seeing as you're more married to political ties than you are to reality. I've learned a lot through living, and one of the best things has been, that some people won't see reality, even if faced with their own death....so, it's better to leave them to journey on.
You don't always have to be a right wing dichead yanno, you can be human occasionally.
I was never a huge fan of Obama, but I did see him as being the best choice in the previous two elections. I also see the Orange Fella as being the better of the last two candidates in the last election, as sad as that may be, and it is sad, very sad in fact.
The average American is indeed a decent person. and I know this from having traveled through a very large part of the country, over 30 states over the course of 30 years. I do also see the ones that are less than, umm, stellar, the ones that seem to be full of hate, anger, jealousy, and all manner of ill. They do all too often seem to be aligned with the Republican side, and usually the extreme end of it. What's even more sad is, that many of these people are in fact decent people, just ill informed, maligned, simply because of the misinformation they're fed by the party they supposedly support. Unfortunately, it's just the extremist end of the party that gets the voice that is the loudest, and that's usually what they hear.
They should all wake up, before the entire nation is in chains, or dead, and that'll only spill over into other countries, in short order.
It's an extremely simplistic and false notion on the nature of socialism. It's not communism, it's not nationalist socialism....simple socialism is just being more inclusive to others that live in your own country. Yanno, as in the people that live around you.
I wish ( I really wish ) that people would educate themselves in the differences of the terminology they use in a waaaay too casual regard to differing ideologies, or for simpler terms, ways of living, and governing.
If you don't know the difference, you'll end up sounding like the OP, which doesn't do anyone any good.
This public service announcement has been brought to you by a person that cares about people, not just political party that wants to use you as a number.
That's almost free, compared to what we pay in Canada, even in season.
Mind you, that's in supermarkets, although farmer's markets aren't usually any cheaper, if not more. The produce is fresher though, which is always nice.
I used to check labels on most things, then I stopped for a number of years, but have been back into the habit of reading before I buy. It's amazing how much sodium and sugar (various types) there are in most products off the store shelves. I try to buy as basic as possible, cook from scratch, and eat as healthy as I can, but some days it's a matter of time. I also hate to admit it, but I do occasionally crave KD, which is probably less healthy than the cardboard box it comes in.
I thought you'd seen pic's of some of my gardening endeavours.
I have some seeds here I want to try this year, and also have some contacts for heirloom seeds in the local area that I'd love to grow. All I really need is a bigger yard, and I'd be doing what they said I should be in all the high school aptitude tests, farmer.
I've grown my own garden in the last two places I lived, but not here...yet. Seeing as it's winter and there's 3 feet of snow on the ground, it's a little difficult. I will though come spring, even if it's in planters for the first while. I'm limited to what I can do, being that I have a small yard, so I've thought about roof top options, as well as growing some things indoors, like herbs.
Petey likes to dig, be great if I had room for potatos here.
Yep, I remember 10 speed pedals, as well as KKT Bear traps, Shimano DX pedals and a few others that didn't just draw blood, but took chunks of flesh and bone with them as well. My shins are covered in dents, scars and are missing pieces.
Although, the phrase "dress for success" comes to mind, but that doesn't explain K Conway's clown suit on inauguration day....or does it.
It's gonna be a looooong 4 years.
I'm glad too.
Yeah, those cold winds froze my head too many times, and took half my hair with it. I'm trying out a new shampoo line to see if it does what it claims to. If so, I'll be growing it down to my ankles, just because I can.
RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part XVI
I had an afternoon nap, and well deserved after the weekend I had,Nah, I don't think or feel like I'm a creep, not at all. I just know I'm not everyone's taste, there's more to that tune than what's on the surface.
I'm wondering what's next, maybe show tunes for Petey....Oklahoma perhaps, maybe something from Cats.
