RE: new york yankees

The Yankees do have an impressive payroll. Anyone know which club has the highest payroll in the world? I'm guessing the Yankees and perhaps some juggernaut from the EPL or La Liga...or one of the Italian teams?

I have no problem with the Yankees. They are not my team, but it's not like they have been winning championships every year. I'm all about the A's and Giants...and my pro team that I play on.

RE: Believe- and I will save you.

Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I belive in Jesus, just was interested in your view of this since I like to keep an open mind. There is no need for me to refute some of the things you posted, since I believe in Jesus. Howver, there is a very strong case against the existence of Jesus. Depends on how you view the evidence and lack of evidence. This is surely not my battle, and I'm sure some others will challenge the historical validity of what you posted lol...

I mentioned that I believe in Jesus...I also believe in Krishna...there you go. Jesus was not the only messenger to deliver a higher and harmonic truth to help us.

I don't believe in prophesies since anything is possible. The prophesies presented in the NT are very vague and can be slotted in any year of our historical time---and the events of the time can match up with the prophesies since they are so vague and a "one shoe fits all" type of prediction. The 2012 Mayan prophecy has many parallels with the prophecy of the "New Heaven and Earth" presented in Revelation 21. And Western culture has ran with that in so many ways lmao!!!!

It's only natural that we will have births and rebirths on our planet as history and even alternate history has shown (Atlantis/Lemuria). In Hindu cosmology, there is the great cosmic lotus dream---an oscillating universe in which the cosmos has no beginning and no end--and we are in the midst of an infinite cycle of cosmic deaths and rebirths.

RE: The human mind.

Well, sensing is intuitive---more along the lines of instincts and biological drifts. I have to respectfully disagree there. Our beliefs are products of how we were raised, what environment we were raised in and live in, and our life experiences up until right now.

To my experience, some circumstances are out of our control, and take a while to change if we do in fact do the necessary things in order to facilitate a change in circumstances. However, I have learned to not allow circumstances to define my state-of-being---they may influence my current state for a short while, but I've learned to detach from unfavorable circumstances and find a perspective that allows me to just not weigh myself down to circumstances that are not favorable to me.
I guess it's how I perceive, react, and respond to circumstances that determine what emotions I will get out of that. The idea here is that I wish to be happy and I know it's a choice. Adversities happen because that is a part of life, so I am not surprised when challenges and adversities arise. I just tune into my state-of-being and and focus on my internal dialog, my thoughts, my actions/reactions, and how I define these circumstances---eventually I find a meaning that serves me well and produces a positive spin on things.
I truly leaned a lot about this through baseball, relationships, and living in Sweden in the winter. I found a formula that works for me for the most part. I should mention that my self-spirituality (devoid of the biblical God) has also served me well---along with knowledge-philosophy-wisdom.

I don't know anybody who is capable of that. I certainly am not like that all the time, but I can say the majority of time. It helps that I have always been a positive person since I was a kid. I have had my periods of down times and I have learned valuable lessons from them and came out stronger. That is why my down time is not a week or a month/s, but a few hours at the most with some good intervals in between. I'm sure I'll be tested over and over again.
That is life for sure. Emotional pain must be experienced and felt in order to understand that state and to come out of that state stronger---when one finally decide to let go. Negative views is just a perception, and a strong negative belief will take us out of harmony. They are powerful perceptions for sure, and the more we believe that they define us, the more we will experience that existence. I feel natural when I am happy and loving---and stressfree. I don't feel natural when I am depressed and engulfed with fear and negativity. I know it's easy to stay there because it takes no effort when in the darkness. It takes work to shoot out of the depressive state---a literal war going on in our minds, and we manufacture that with our beliefs about ourselves and our circumstances.

Not everybody is the same and I am only speaking for what has served me well. Ultimately, I've learned that the only true reality is my state-of-being and I wish to keep it in harmon So I make the choices to alter certain beliefs and approaches to things since I feel that when I am in disharmony, it is a message that I have to deal with and fix. Everybody wants to be happy, and to use the old cliche, if there is a will---there is a way. The trick is believing it and living it instead of accepting what you do not wish to feel and experience.

RE: Believe- and I will save you.

Can you cite any names? The Romans were meticulous historians, and nothing was written about Jesus. Flavius Josephus was a Jewish historian and he wrote about Jesus---but he was born 37 years after Jesus died. Outside of the Gospels (are we to assume them as impeccably accurate?), there is no concrete evidence---just word of mouth. Saint Paul, the first author of a Christian work and the number one Christian at the time never met the Jesus and yet the stories say that thousands of people met and followed Jesus. Can you pump some views on this that can strengthen the argument for the existence of Jesus? Just curious.

For the record, I believe Jesus existed.

RE: NDE, OBE, Spiritual Phenomena, Miraculous Healings

For the record, I don't view miracles as something that is rare or impossible, we label them as miracles because we don't have the knowledge of how to perform such feats---such as healing by touch or redirecting the energies in the ethereal body---and there are people out there who are capable of this---almost in the manner like Jesus healed. Jesus was a very evolved entity and was able to do things that humans couldn't since he was from a dimension/density of a higher consciousness/awareness---or in the future as we might say if we are to assume that humanity is evolving in that direction---to a higher awareness/consciousness.

Buddhists, Taoists, and Hindus are not impressed by miracles, and their traditions are full of miraculous stories and they take them in stride since they view it as a psychic power. In any case, I believe miracles are normal things, but we are not tuned into nor do we have the knowledge of the physics behind such events. So we label them as miracles with our limited views and lack of expanded understanding of our deeper and higher selves.

I don't buy the Jewish-Christian-Muslim version of God because this monotheistic branch does just what most of science does---separates this higher consciousness of infinity (what you label as God) from us. That is a fundamental problem with this branch of religion since the doctrines are very limiting and distorted due to the time it was written---a very crude time as far as understanding.
Nevertheless, Quantum entanglement is going in the right direction as far as showing that we are always entangled to each other, other conscious beings in the cosmos, with the cosmos itself, and our higher selves---our expanded selves which religion has labeled as this Western God. The God concept is developing and evolving with the times, and the signs are all around us. Moving on, all of this does relate to the holographic model, but our understanding of this lacks depth right now. But it does make sense to me that some form of existence does indeed exist on a non-physical plane that is outside our spacetime continuum.

RE: Does this online dating does anything positive for you?

Just a series of train wrecks...this online thing.

RE: TIME

I've seen his website and totally understand some of his ideas since it's nothing I have not heard about before. Interesting though---that certain people are able to tap into a view or perhaps truth that makes sense and feels totally naturual---perhaps a significant parcel of universal truth that can be accessed in the subconscious which is tied to the collective unconscious.

Part of his premise I understand and agree with since it's parallel with some Eastern concepts of illusion and playing roles in the physcial role to experience certain things like duality and polarity---I've heard a lot about that via regressive hypnosis where a higher consciousness spoke through the patient about why we come to Earth in this existence and so forth.
It may be true to some---experiencing the opposite of that which we really are in order to learn a lesson or to have that experience to round out the soul---or just out of curiosity. But I wouldn't say that is absolete in my view since there are infinite ways to experience creation and existence. That would be a limiting thought lol...

RE: TIME

Yeah, he makes perfect sense---especaily when he talks about time. It's no wonder that people who stress and are negative and don't love life---and are the same age as me---look much older.

Time becomes real interesting in the dreamstate. A dream that feels like 2 hours may actualy take 10 minutes---happened to me the other day when I dozed of and noticed the time---right before I fell asleep and when I woke up.

To me, there is no time---just a series of events and lifetimes. But this view helps me believe this since I see myself as an infinite soul. So even though my body ages, my soul does not---just learns lessons and experiences different existences. Does wind age? lol

RE: TIME

I can say this, if I am doing something that I am having a lot of fun with and I notice that 8 hours went by, but it only felt like 30 minutes---then I actually aged 30 minutes. So there, a secret to feeling and keeping young---follow your excitement and choose a stressfree and happy life! We have that kind of power...

Moving on, to my understanding, time is a sereis of frames of continuity in our consciousness and within the dimension of space which gives the illusion of time since time is perceived as a motion from one point to another---as how we see a clock.

RE: NDE, OBE, Spiritual Phenomena, Miraculous Healings

What is it that you really want to say royester? I've been using the 'Near Death Experience Research Foundation' for a while now along with documents and material that I have pertaining to NDE's and OBE's via regressive hypnosis. I use that site and contribute to it in order to establish a hypothesis that a soul exists. The Bible does not establish that---meaning there is no concrete proof. Not to discount some things in the Bible, but the Bible is not an accurate source of information and does not prove some of the church's ideas when the Bible in it's entirety was formed by the Catholic church---meaning that there is no way that the bible is a direct translation of divine wisdom from this Western God.

In any case, I'm not here to validate or argue anything. Believe as you wish, but information and a higher truth can be found wherever you look---doesn't have to be solely from the Bible.

NDE experiences is what interests me, and the experiences of the people who experienced it have some common threads that can be categorized---basically meaning that the consciousness/psyche is able to exist outside of our spacetime continuum on another plane of existence that we are not sure about right now. Curiosity and discovery leads us to the new frontier---not blindly accepting outdated doctrines that no longer resonate with the people---hence why there is a spiritual evolution taking place and why more and more people are becoming secular/agnostic/atheist---and are moving towards self spirituality.

RE: What is your personal meaning of life?

That's easy. To be happy, harmonious, filled with joy and excitement, and to develop a strong sense of unconditional love and understanding for myself and others---and to spread that message---the religion of peace and love.

It should be said that in order to get there and stay there, we all must overcome every inconceivable obstacle that presents itself over and over again. Eventually, we'll realize that those obstacles don't really matter---only our ability to respond and react to those obstacles and adversities.

What are you...

Outstanding post!!! Great to see you again MGaff, and thanks for sharing your wisdomwine Agreed about our society based on limitation. I see so many people stuck in life due to their limited beliefs about themselves. I can tell you that through baseball, I learned just how limiting belief systems about yourself can affect your performance. The same can be said in life.

We'd be nothing without a belief system. Perhaps nothing forms into something when a subjective thought from some type of consciousness projects whatever subjective thoughts onto it. Infinite creation expressing itself in infinite ways? Who knows. Which begs the next question that will piss off adherents to empirical science---what else on earth has consciousness? Trees? Plants? Dolphins? Minerals? Earth itself? Thoughts? I've heard some rather mind bending views on this, but will sit this out unless a discussion ensues.

What are you...

This is a sound approach. I'm know it has worked and served you well. If you ask and seek, your higher self will answer and give you what you need when you need to do it and be it. Synchronistic signs will come, and then it's up to you to use those signs to your benefit.

Sagan's work continues with today's theoretical physicists and cosmologists. What mysticism are you referring to btw? I'm not sure where you are coming from Conrad. Unpack that please---and be polite hahahaha.

Way to go you two! I'm so happy for you both. You two are wonderful people and bless the connection and CS! Really great news and this is inspiring. The sun is shining and it's a new morning!!! Believing is being and being is believingwine

No. He only suggested some metaphysical and paranormal concepts needed to be explored into more. Open minded Conrad...

What are you...

Well said Bluesthumbs up The main thing is that your approach seems to serve you well and brings harmony to your state-of-being as well as to others.

Thanks Legend. The way I see it, the labeling of this God in the Quran and Bible may have been a bit inaccurate due to various reasons. Personally, I believe this label of God is referring to our higher selves and I am working on this to prove it---the evolution and revolution of this God concept. To me,it's just an expansion of our selves---but many people use the label God for this. wine
In any case, your truth is yours and I respect it---so long as you respect other truths and not force your belief system on anybody---but feel free to show doors and allow people to decide for themselves...

What are you...

Who said that? Why would you suggest that? I have not mentioned anything about prayer.

Yes!

Well, absolute truths as far as being common would be defined by science---the empirical truths---like the earth revolves around the sun and the acceleration of gravity. However, personal experiences are only true to the person experiencing such an experience. So that truth is indeed true to them and maybe their labeling of certain experiences may not be to everybody's liking. So it is relevant since all truths are true and all are equal and valid, it's just a matter of choosing which truth resonates with you and living that truth. Nobody can take away your truth from you and at the same time, you cannot take away anybody's else truth---for it is not your right and it's unwise to force your truth on others.

Why is God coming into this discussion? I'm an agnostic. I see you are trying to corner me and label me something I am not. It's cool to be atheist, but it's not cool to be so evangelical about it. I don't subscribe to the Biblical God or the God presented in the Quran. We create, so in that sense, we are all gods in a sense. I'm not here to prove that a god exists silly lol. And beliefs are real things since it's the blueprint for your reality.

Man, you don't understand where I am coming from. I am not religious...I have self-spirituality based on love, harmony, the power of positive belief, and science. You are the greatest judge of yourself and your belief system narrates how you exist and perceive your internal and external world. Nobody is saying that a religion should do that (and those who use it, fine). All truths that you perceive to be true comes from within with the help of knowledge and awareness and being entangled with your higher self. It's real simple, whatever you do----if it brings harmony to yourself and others, then it does not matter what you believe in---for your choices, acts and reactions is what you will judge yourself by, and only you have the power to allow others to define you or not according to their belief system. You don't have to believe them and accept their truths---only if it serves you in some situations. That's the nature of infinite truths.

What are you...

Oh yeah, I still don't know what I would be without a belief systemlaugh Perhaps a rock or some other mineral that does not grow towards the light.

/honor the light inside of you

What are you...

There is no need to justify that being an atheist implies that you are not a good person. Actions, reactions, and behaviors speak a clear truth---regardless of belief. I feel your sentiment since being an atheist has some unfair stigmas in America.

This thread has been interesting with the responses. I was curious to see who identified with labels, and who identified with emotions. No right or wrong, just observation here from my end.

As for me, I am infinite possibilities confined to my present awareness/consciousness which by no means stands still---and I try and keep that within the realm of love, compassion, understanding, excitement, and joy since that is what I choose to be through my thoughts, choices, actions, and reactions.
The second I limit myself to labels, I feel I am limiting myself since I close off any type of expansion of who I think I am and can be.
After all, I am what I think of myself to be true and I am only capable of what I think I am capable of being. Being is believing and believing is being.
Choose which is you and that which brings harmony to yourself and others---and live that truth---until you change your mind if you find the flow has shifted in a way that serves you to the best you can be---love, harmony, excitement, and happiness.
