In the smaller town we lived in, there was no special schooling. My son went to a regular school, but I did the extra stuff with his behavior. The teacher that taught him figured I could have behavior modification but why waste trying to educate him.... DUHHH
I was diagnosed A.D.D. and Dyslexic when my son was going through the diagnostic process.
For the first 6 yrs of my son's life, I was told it was my parenting, and that because he was my first child, I did not know what I was talking about. Guess how much I enjoyed telling the pediatrician he was wrong? I was also dealing with the prejudice because in Quebec (certain areas) are very anti anglophone.
