Can't say I agree. I look at my Dad and his ladyfriend (as he calls her); they've been together happily 31 years now, longer than my folks were married. And since they're past 80 now it's a fair bet that only death will them part. I'd say they love each other. I'd just as soon not speculate about L-U-S-T though.
Live and learn, they say, and I'm certain they are right about the first part. Dunno about the second. I liked heartbreak so much the first time I tried it again! Somehow after that I kinda lost my taste for it though.
So far, for all this work, you guys are only 2 for 4. Trust me, you will never guess K-------, but I can't believe no one can even spell D---------'s name correctly.
When everyone is done cooing over Sweetly, because she is a superstar here, might I point out there are 3 names to go, two of which (D and O) you have some reasonable chance at? Of course, you will never guess K-------.
It's a terrific song and a wonderful rendition, but the video confuses me. Didn't Cole perform that on his own TV variety show, 1959-60? Why isn't that video there?
Still, ya can't argue the relentless logic of the song. A wonderful piece for cuddling, too.
As I said earlier, I believe I counted the number of spaces correctly.
As it turns out, puppypower has made the rules of this game. My original hope was that any of the four might enjoy the YouTube link embedded in the original post, along with the thoughtfully-provided lyrics.
Underneath the mask of the sulphur sky A bunch of us were busy waiting, Watching the people looking ill-at-ease, Watching the fraying rope get closer to breaking
Women and men moved back and forth In between effect and cause And just beyond the range of normal sight This glittering joker was dancing in the dragon's jaws
Let me be a little of your breath Moving over the face of the deep -- I want to be a particle of your light Flowing over the hills of morning
The only sign you gave of who you were When you first came walking down the road, Was the way the dust motes danced around Your feet in a cloud of gold
But everything you see's not the way it seems -- Tears can sing and joy can shed a tear. You can take the wisdom of this world And give it to the ones who think it all ends here
Let me be a little of your breath Moving over the face of the deep -- I want to be a particle of your light Flowing over the hills of morning
RE: LOVE? It's a myth.
