Quiet Time

I am nourished in my quiet moments with God.
I have responsibilities to my family and friends, coworkers and clients that require my attention. However, the Bible story of Martha reminds me that there are times when it is necessary to put tasks aside and spend quiet moments with God.
While her sister Mary sat and listened to Jesus, Martha let herself feel overwhelmed with the work that was left undone. Jesus said to her, “Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”
As I step away from the busyness of life to become still and listen to God within, my soul is nourished. Nothing can replace the satisfaction I receive in these unrushed moments with God.

It is NOT going to get better.

It is going to get Worse than anyone could ever imagine.

It will make the Great Depression look like Nothing!

A total economic collapse is just around the corner!!!

Do you not realize that a 15.3 percent increase in Diesel Fuel will create a domino effect?

It is only just begining and Diesel prices continue to rise on a daily basis.

By September, the country will be fatally wounded if not dead.

The Fed tries to make it not sound so detrimental, yet they know that it is, cos they are the ones who have planned it.

They will be able to introduce the Amero and have total control of the continent... as if they don't already, lol.

What we are seeing now are only the begining of birth pangs.

Just wait and see...

I too am a former member of NRA and it does make me wonder...

Did NRA only back this bill because it concerns the freedom to carry a weapon? It does not make sence because it states that they must be permitted to carry a concealed weapon. I would not think that there would be exclusions as to where the weapon could be carried, except for the places mentioned at the end... schools, prisons, power plants, etc.
So... What in the world is the bill for???

Let's all just shoot each other and put us out of our misery...

WASHINGTON - Inflation at the wholesale level in the U.S. soared in March at nearly triple the rate that had been expected as the costs of energy and food both climbed rapidly.

The Labor Department reported Tuesday that wholesale prices rose by 1.1 percent last month, the largest increase since a 2.6 percent rise last November, which had been the biggest one-month jump in 33 years. Analysts had been expecting a much more moderate 0.4 percent rise in wholesale prices for the month.

Core inflation, which excludes energy and food, was better behaved last month, rising by just 0.2 percent, down from a worrisome 0.5 percent rise in February.

For the past 12 months, wholesale prices are up by 6.9 percent and core inflation is up by 2.7 percent, the biggest year-over-year increase in nearly two years.

The inflation pressures are occurring at a time when the overall economy is slowing and many analysts believe may have toppled into a recession. That raises concerns that the country could be facing another bout of stagflation, the malady that last occurred in the 1970s when economic growth stagnated but inflation kept rising.

Such a development would put the Federal Reserve in a bind. The central bank has been cutting interest rates in an effort to combat the current slowdown. However, if inflation pressures keep rising, it might be forced to stop cutting interest rates for fear that it would make inflation worse.

For March, energy prices jumped 2.9 percent, the biggest increase since November. The price of gasoline was up 1.3 percent while natural gas rose by 4.2 percent. Home heating oil shot up by 13.1 percent and diesel fuel, used to power the nation's trucking fleet, increased by 15.3 percent.

Analysts believe the economy will be hit with more energy pressures in coming months, reflecting the fact that crude oil costs are remaining at record levels above $111 per barrel.

Food costs rose by 1.2 percent in March, reflecting big increases in the price of vegetables, rice, and beef.

Outside of food and energy, the price of soap and detergents jumped 2 percent, the biggest gain in more than two years, while pet food increased by 1.3 percent.

However, the price of new cars dropped by 0.2 percent and the cost of light trucks was down 0.3 percent, indicating the struggles that automakers face as a weak economy dampens demand.

The government will report on consumer prices on Wednesday with the expectation that they rose by 0.3 percent in March.

Instead, like a mumbling drunk or a dying Savior, we simply cry out, “I thirst.” And He comes and satisfies our thirst with a spring of love that knows no bounds.

I do the one cup of coffee before going to work and one while driving in the wee hours, to keep me awake on my run. I know it isn't the best thing for me, but I do try to keep it at a minimum. I add raw sugar, cinnamon and chocolate soy milk when I can....I'm soooo bad!

I quit drinking soda over 2 years ago, when I found out the dammage it does. About all I drink is Water from nearby springs and freshly juiced fruits and veggies.

Don't know just how friendly Google is, I usually use another search engine, but yes, you can find out anything if you search and research.

I am with you on not trusting if they are modified or not. They weave such a web of DECEPTION that we no longer know what to believe. I save seeds from my organic veggies and plant them myself, then save seeds from what grows for the next year. Maybe I am safe?

Love the new pic and your hair looks GREAT! It was my first thought when I came to read the thread.


I have to say that the story you posted is logical and believable, but NOT True, from my experiences. I used to believe that maybe I was doing it all wrong, dating the Hunks that treated me like crap; So I switched and began dating the ugly ones, thinking that they should be grateful for having me around. NOT!!! These were the most ungrateful and Abusive men I have ever known! I believe that it is due to their Low Self-esteem. But not always.... Some seemed to think they were God's gift to women!
So, ya really can't categorize them I guess. People are people and we are all different, we are all at different levels of self-awareness. When we meet others at the same level... then we click!

We all have the ability to co-create through the power of Positive thinking. We create our situations and the resolutions for them.

Negativity works just as well, creating negative atmospheres with negative responses.

Our purpose is to learn how to no longer react negatively, but be co-creators of the Positive.

Hugz posted a poem, "The Awakening", which I believe is the goal for each human to attain in this life. I would recomend it for all to read!

I am not Catholic and I hold nothing against those who are.
I do not know first hand what they do with all of their money, but I do know that here in the states, they have an organization know as
"Catholic Charoties" which help so many people. They pay utility bills for people in emergency finance situations. The Catholics have many missions, World-wide with orphanages to feed and house children with no families and life threatening diseases. Medical Supplies, clothing, food and housing are expensive, not to mention staffing these places. The Nuns and Priests in Monestaries, they do not work to receive income either. The Church pays for all of this. Disaster relief work, many Volunteers help out and the Churchs monies pay the bill.
I believe the Catholic Funds help out all around the world in many great ways. We should be careful not to knock those who do good for others.
When Churches have many outreaches to the hurting and poor and needy, I have no problem with their having money, when you can see it being used for good purposes.

Thru this poem, you have described exactly the person to which I have evolved and become. I have never seen it transcribed into words.

So... the next time someone comes to a thread to Bash me with stereotypical categorization, I would like Everyone to know, that they are lying to themselves and to you, because this, which you have shared with us, is exactly who HealthyLiving IS!

I should hope that we would all evolve thru our life experiences to become this type of being. It should be a goal to all.

To have a healthy body, one needs to educate themselves and choose what is right for them. There are many methods which give the same result.
