I must agree with you that Cindy is prettier and I also posted a thread about Cindy Mc Cain which no one is apparently reading.
As most here know, I do not support either candidate, but since I live in a state which will only allow Presidential votes to go to Obama or Mc Cain, I choose to post something to commend the good character of one of the candidates. Sorry, but I have found nothing which I would consider "good" to post about Obama. No, I am not racial, as I went to an all black High School in Miami, Florida and made many friends there. People are people, no matter what their race. As far as Christianity is concerned, we must examine their fruits, the fruits of the spirit of God, to determine if they are infact a true Christian. The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness and self-control. Examine them for yourselves. I for one, as a true believer, do not feel that either of them qualify. I base this on their behaviors in this Presidental race. All of the backbiting and putting one another down, not exhibiting love for their fellow man much less their fellow Americans. They look to me to be self-centered, wanting to get the whole pie instead of taking a piece and sharing the rest with the hungry. They are out for their own selfish gain to do what those who will put them in power (behind the scenes) want to accomplish. Amongst all the tearing down of one another, they create delusions, and we forget to hold them accountable to US, whom they represent, and just what our future will be, should they get elected. The candidates who may have wanted good for the American people, are no longer in the running. We are forced to vote for one of two idiots who both have the same agenda in the long run. It will be disaster to us all, no matter who wins. Maybe it's time to use some wisdom, get on our knees and cry out to GOD for mercy, repent, and beg for forgiveness for being apathetic for so long!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I see that you all have limited your discussion to the statement at the end, concerning Obama.
Druidess is the only one who commented on Mc Cain and his sons, which was the subject of this thread.
Just as I suspected would happen, as I slipped the comment in concerning Obama. Good that you have debunked it, Hugz, but I did find it interesting, that in your research, his support of Marxism is mentioned. That scares the hell out of me!!! That alone is enough to warn others NOT to vote for Obama!!! Yet no one seemed to pick up on it.
Now, does anyone see the goodness of Mc Cain here?????
I saw Cindy with John at the RNC and noted that she was beautiful. She did not look too comfortable being in the spotlight, as if she prefered not to be, in a humble way. At least that is what my spirit perceived. It seems she is a very good woman and does give her time to the betterment of humanity, definitely good character traits!
Talk about putting your most valuable where your mouth is! You see character is what's shown when the public is not looking.
There were no cameras or press invited to what you are about to read about, and the story comes from one person in New Hampshire . One evening last July, Senator John McCain of Arizona arrived at the New Hampshire home of Erin Flanagan for sandwiches, chocolate-chip cookies and a heartfelt talk about Iraq . They had met at a presidential debate, when she asked the candidates what they would do to bring home American soldiers, soldiers like her brother, who had been killed in action a few months earlier. Mr. McCain did not bring cameras or press. Instead, he brought his youngest son, James McCain, 19, then a private first class in the Marine Corps about to leave for Iraq . Father and son sat down to hear more about Ms. Flanagan's brother Michael Cleary, a 24-year-old Army First Lieutenant killed by an ambush a roadside bomb. No one mentioned the obvious: In just days, Jimmy McCain could face similar perils. 'I can't imagine what it must have been like for them as they were coming to meet with a family that Ms. Flanagan recalled, choking up. 'We lost a dear one,' she finished. Mr. McCain, now the Republican nominee, has staked his candidacy on the promise that American troops can bring stability to Iraq . What he almost never says is that one of them is his own son, who spent seven months patrolling Anbar Province and learned of his father's New Hampshire victory in January while he was digging a stuck military vehicle out of the mud. Two of Jimmy's three older brothers went into the military. Doug McCain, 48, was a Navy pilot. Jack McCain, 21, is to graduate from the Naval Academy next year, raising the chances that his father, if elected, could become the first president since Dwight D. Eisenhower with a son at war. I chose to share this with those who I believe will pass it on, to others who will pass it on. We hear so much inflated trash out there. How about a simple act of kindness and dedication to others placed above oneself? Has anybody heard of Barak Hussein Obama serving in The American Armed Services? From Barak's book, Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." HE DID NOT SAY HE WOULD STAND WITH AMERICANS,YET HE MAY BE COMMANDER IN CHEIF!
There was an article in the Wall Street Journal on Cindy McCain, John's wife. All I ever saw was this attractive woman standing beside John. I was surprised how talented and involved with world problems she is. This is a summary of the article.
She graduated from Southern Cal and was a special-needs teacher. After her Dad died she became involved with his beer distributing firm and Is now the chairwoman. Sales have doubled since she has taken over from her father.
They have a marriage prenuptial agreement, her assets remain separate. She is involved around the world clearing land mines - travels to these countries on a detonation team and serves on their board.
They have a 19 year old serving in Iraq , another son in the Naval Academy , a daughter recently graduated from Columbia Univ. , an adopted daughter in high school, and a son who is the finance guy at the beer firm.
Raised kids in Phoenix , AZ rather than Washington DC . (better atmosphere) John commuted.
In 1991, Mrs. McCain came across a young girl in a Bangladesh orphanage. Mother Teresa implored Mrs. McCain to take the baby with a severe cleft palate. She did so without first telling her husband. The couple adopted the girl who has had a dozen operations to repair her cleft palate and other medical problems.
They have a Family Foundation for children's causes.
She's active with 'Halo Trust' - to clear land mines, and provide water & food in war ravaged and developing countries.
She will join an overseas mission of 'Operation Smile', a charity for corrective surgery on children's faces.
She has had two back surgeries and became addicted to pain killers. She talks openly about it which she says is part of the recovery process.
I'm surprised the media is so quiet about her attributes. She sounds more capable to be first lady
A person with business and international experience. John did work for the firm for a while after he left the Navy. She, however, has the real business experience. Very interesting.
Into my room he creeps Without making a sound Into my dreams he peeps With his hair all long and hanging down
How he makes me quiver How he makes me smile With all this love I have to give him I guess I'm gonna stay with him awhile
She brushes the curls from my eyes She drops her robe on the floor And she reaches for the light on the bureau And the darkness is her pillow once more
How she makes me quiver How she makes me smile With all this love I have to give her I guess I'm gonna stay with her awhile
How it makes me quiver How it makes me smile With all this love I have to give you Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile
How it makes me quiver How it makes me smile With all this love I have to give you Guess I'm gonna stay with you awhile
TRANSLATION: agreed, there existed other ways of parting if we looked at the bright side it might be able to help us In this bitter silence, i decided to forgive you it is the faults that we might do when we love someone so much agreed the small girl in me often claimed you you were almost like a mother, you edged me, u protected me I've stolen your blood that we wont leave each other in the middle of words and dreams im gonna shout: I love you, I love you like a crazy person like a soldier like a star of cinema I love you, I love you as a wolf, as a king as a man that i'm not you see, i love you like that
agreed, I trusted you in all my smiles and secrets. even those, alone whose brother is the unconfessed security guard In this stony house, Satan watched us dance I wanted so much the war of bodies which made peace I love you, I love you like a crazy person like a soldier like a star of cinema I love you, I love you as a wolf, as a king as a man that i'm not you see, i love you like that
This was one of the most sensuous and seductive songs I have ever heard.
It would be just like men to leave it all to us women!
But I think that such a story in the Bible, would have been glad to point out that it was the women whom God had punnished, and not the men. It seems that in old testament times, women were considered to be "lesser" and below men.
Now girls, we know that this is most certainly NOT true!!!
I am still single because I am waiting for the man whom God chooses for me. God is preparing him for me and me for him.
I am content alone. God's love is enough to sustain me, even if I never get to know love from a man.
God is my husband and he's pretty tough competition for a human male to win my heart.
The man would have to truely know God, his love, joy, peace, kindness, gentleness and self-control, actually possessing His character, or, to put it simply... I am just not interested!
The Greatest Gift is LOVE!!! 1Corinthians Chapter 13
1Co 13:1 I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. 1Co 13:2 I may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have all the faith needed to move mountains---but if I have no love, I am nothing. 1Co 13:3 I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned ---but if I have no love, this does me no good. 1Co 13:4 Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; 1Co 13:5 love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; 1Co 13:6 love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. 1Co 13:7 Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. 1Co 13:8 Love is eternal. There are inspired messages, but they are temporary; there are gifts of speaking in strange tongues, but they will cease; there is knowledge, but it will pass. 1Co 13:9 For our gifts of knowledge and of inspired messages are only partial; 1Co 13:10 but when what is perfect comes, then what is partial will disappear. 1Co 13:11 When I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all those of a child; now that I am an adult, I have no more use for childish ways. 1Co 13:12 What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face-to-face. What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete---as complete as God's knowledge of me. 1Co 13:13 Meanwhile these three remain: faith, hope, and love; and the greatest of these is love.
“He shall gather the lambs with his arm.” - Isa_40:11
Our good Shepherd has in his flock a variety of experiences, some are strong in the Lord, and others are weak in faith, but he is impartial in his care for all his sheep, and the weakest lamb is as dear to him as the most advanced of the flock. Lambs are wont to lag behind, prone to wander, and apt to grow weary, but from all the danger of these infirmities the Shepherd protects them with his arm of power. He finds new-born souls, like young lambs, ready to perish-he nourishes them till life becomes vigorous; he finds weak minds ready to faint and die-he consoles them and renews their strength. All the little ones he gathers, for it is not the will of our heavenly Father that one of them should perish. What a quick eye he must have to see them all! What a tender heart to care for them all! What a far- reaching and potent arm, to gather them all! In his lifetime on earth he was a great gatherer of the weaker sort, and now that he dwells in heaven, his loving heart yearns towards the meek and contrite, the timid and feeble, the fearful and fainting here below. How gently did he gather me to himself, to his truth, to his blood, to his love, to his church! With what effectual grace did he compel me to come to himself! Since my first conversion, how frequently has he restored me from my wanderings, and once again folded me within the circle of his everlasting arm! The best of all is, that he does it all himself personally, not delegating the task of love, but condescending himself to rescue and preserve his most unworthy servant. How shall I love him enough or serve him worthily? I would gladly make his name great unto the ends of the earth, but what can my feebleness do for him? Great Shepherd, add to your mercies this one other, a heart to love you more truly as I ought.
I have 25 Bibles here in my house. And yes, I read them all. I also have an electronic bible program in both of my computers. It is excellent and a free program for anyone who is interested.
You can add commentaries, dictionaries and many different versions of the Bible so you can compare or read them parallel. I have 10 Bible versions, 10 dictionaries and 9 commentaries. It also has daily devotions of which I receive from 4 authors, Spurgeon, Hokestra, Meyer, and Morrison. You can download lots of books for the topic study too. It's all viewable from the one page, and you can maximize the different sections which you choose. It really is an awesome program!
Vote for Independant candidates if your state has any running.
I will be attending a meeting on the 25th which will explain more of how we can bring about this change. Exactly the questions you have asked, they will address. I will get some info to share.
I am not jealous of Sara at all. In fact, I do admire her. I like her outspokeness, boldness, her looks, yes, she is beautiful in many ways. She is courageous. A good role model to young women everywhere.
I am speaking of her as a person, leaving the politics out of it.
She has a close knit family who love and respect her. She's a real person, with faults and flaws, just like the rest of us, yet she continues to strive and reach out for her goals. She is an achiever.
I commend her for her efforts, where ever they may lead her.
I would like to commend Gingerb for her attempts at reasoning with Cro, which we all know is IMPOSSIBLE to do.
He has ears, yet he does not hear. He has eyes, yet he does not see. No man comes to know God, unless God draws the man to Himself.
Apparantly, God is not at this time, drawing Cro into His bossom.
But, I would advise Cro to be very careful. Many, in their search to prove there is NO God, have found that there truely IS a God!!!
RNG, you have spoke truth and words of Wisdom, despite Cro's ignorance of it.
I am one who KNOWS God, very very intimately. I didn't come to know Him from reading and following a book. He is an invisable person whom I communicate (2-way conversations) with continually throughout the day, every day. He does the Impossible, things I can not do, for me and thru me, and LOVES me and everyone else, (even Cro) UNCONDITIONALLY, even if you do not believe it now.
Cro, your argument has no place with me. I will choose to refrain from useless arguments.
Without having your own EXPERIENCE, you will never understand who He is or what He is all about. You are only spinning your wheels to no avail.
Give it up Cro, you are only making yourself to appear foolish in the eyes of many, even other non-believers.
How Congress Voted Here is the list of those Congressional representatives who surrendered your economic future to King Henry. A "Y" means a "Yes" vote (in favor of the financial bailout legislation).
This is, in essence, a list of those who have betrayed the People by conspiring to instigate acts of economic warfare against We the People. ("N" means they voted No. "Y" means they voted Yes.")
ALABAMA Democrats - Cramer, Y; Davis, Y. Republicans - Aderholt, N; Bachus, Y; Bonner, Y; Everett, Y; Rogers, Y.
The majority of the American Taxpayers said a great big "NO" to the bailout. Our representatives are supposed to represent us, not what they are tricked into!! They voted against what the people asked them to!!!!
The money and funding belong to the American Taxpayers who said they did not want to bailout. Now, they will have to pay... So much for DEMOCRACY in this REPUBLIC.
More like a Dictatorship in a Communist country if you ask me!!!
