I raised my kids to pick up after themselves, Even my son if pretty tidy, I don't think that is a bad thing.
Hell, I have friends that are messy to, but that is their choice.
I had one friend so bad though that the last time I went to his house, he ask if I wanted a cup of coffee... looking around.. in mid day, baby roaches on everything.. I mean thousands of them.. climbing in and out and over everything.. coffee.. UMM...NO THANK YOU! Because I know for fact they were also in the coffee maker. were so many roaches that I wouldn't even set my coat down, kept it in my lap. They were even crawling all over the table.
needless to say.. have never and will never go back to that house!!
Naaa, I am the one that has to live in it and I can't stand a lot of mess, I like things in their place, and for other to feel comfortable when they come here.
Had two females (friends/coworkers)come over for dinner one night, I think they were is shock kept saying how homey my place is. At least it made me feel good.
I look at the entire package. Especially if it is someone that I and dating or would think about living with. I just won't be someones maid. so to speak.
just the same as most women do not want a man that they have to constantly pick up after.
I have seen both extremes, Have seen a few where you would never see a speck of dust, never see even 1 dirty dish and so on. had a local stray cat hit by a car out front, was in really bad shape, so I brought him in and doctored him back to health, I had to vac the furniture every day. I sat catfish out on the counter to thaw.. later when I went to cook it, he had already had a free dinner... needless to say.. at this point he was well enough to become a stray again!
Know exactly what you mean, but why are many of these people that don't work
One of the worse things I have seen yet is a gal that kept a large dog kennel under the kitchen table,and the kennel hadn't been cleaned in years at least. and in her bathroom.. so many dirty clothes around the toilet that all you could see was the seat. ( this was a house that I was replacing the ceiling tiles in)
Yes, what you look like is important, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder-- there is someone for everyone!

Are you neat or a clutter monkey?
Would you be willing at this moment.. if someone were to knock on your door, Invite them in without hesitation?
Clues that you house is too messy.. 1. you lay down the newspaper that you just read an article in, when you try to find it to finish reading it.. it takes you an hour to find it again because of the 2 year supply of papers laying around in every room. 2. when you wash dishes.. you have to walk through the entire house trying to find them first?
3. when it is trash day.. you just don't bother.. because you cant tell where the trash ends and where the keepsakes begin!
Is funny in so many profile pictures they only put up a real close shot of them self, but if you look close at the picture.. looks worse than Catrina aftermath in the background.
so back to the original question. Would you be brave enough to put up photos of the inside of your house?
