I did not take it out of context.. you are the one that threw it into a thread about people getting disability checks.
so yes.. that would imply that you are saying that they are reasons to draw disability. Invisible or not.

There are many people whom really need the disability checks, but due to the unworthy abusing the system, it makes it near impossible for those who really need it, to get it.

There are about 3 questions in the OP,
mainly.. what is just cause to get disability checks, what should be done to system abusers.
Just looked like you were saying that the entire list was good reasons to be on disability.?!

Heres another example.. a guy just a few houses down from me is getting disability for a bad back but he rides a bicycle all over town and roofed his own house, Thats disabled??

so are there any on the list you gave that you feel shouldn't be getting disability checks?

By what I have read of your previous post in this thread, you make it sound like the Gov money should be easy to get and listing reasons some people shouldn't have to work instead of offering ideas to get them working.

When good ideas were given, you shoot them down.

for example....
putting some of these people to work picking up trash.
don't know about where you are, but here and in most cities, there is a lot of trash blowing around and no one is paid to pick it up.
So are you honestly saying that someone with ADHD, bipolar, lactose intolerant or so on.. if drawing a Gov disability check shouldn't be out picking up the trash???
jobs that need to be done can be created for those types.

I say if a person is able to work.. they should be working.

Common Sense took a hard kick in the mouth when our Government gave almost every household $300-$600 incentive checks.
When the only real incentive was for us to keep out mouths shut when the banks and mortgage institutions were bailed out.

When it might have been wiser to give people enough to pay off their mortgages and stay in their homes.. instead of giving the money straight to the loaners!!

would have been the same amount of money out of the Government and would have killed 2 birds with one stone.

The people stay in their homes and the banks and mortgage institutions get their money

The government in many cases makes it beneficial not to work.. even if you are able.. so honestly.. why the hell would they want to go out and get a job!

Myself, have always worked, even raised a son alone, and never got one ounce of help even when it was drastically needed.

but you know what.. we survived, and stronger people for it.
And I can hold my head up high.

This was about 2 1/2 years ago... and that is exactly what we were told.. she could go get her hair cut.. but not out to eat...Sorry but that is just too f**ked up!!

But someone who has fried their brain with drugs can get disability and do anything they want...just something drastically wrong with this picture!!

Whe My Grandmother was still alive, she lived with me for some time, her income was about $450 per month, after her stroke she had a home health nurse for a short time, I also worked full time.
I mentioned that I wanted to take he out for dinner on her birthday, even though she was on a walker...

The home health nurse told us that if we do go out to eat.. they will drop her case.. why?
Because if she is well enough to go out to eat then she didn't need the rehab..this is federal law???

There are many that truly deserve this help, but there are more getting it that don't deserve than do!

just like our social security.. we pay into it most of our life. then someone comes here from another Country, that has never even worked here or paid into the system, but they can draw social security...Is just wrong.

Easy fix.. stop nafta and set tariffs so high that it just doesn't pay for factories to close factories here and move our jobs away, In other words.. force them back here.

Thats just it, drug addicts get them for no geed reason, except screwed up from drugs,
I fell off of my roof and was laid up for almost 2 years,
they gave me min food stamps for 3 months, and said I couldn't get temporary disability in Missouri, only if it was permanent.

then the neighbor drugie got a stack of about 14 boxes of food from the swan man and paid for it with food stamps and she gets $850 per month disability.
hell, she is more able to work than I am...

Yes.. they do need to change the rules of who can get them, and have the staff to enforce the rules. It is Government fraud and a felony.

this has a lot to do with our economy, with our morals of the day.

Remember grandpa? tough old bird, nothing could stop him from getting the job done.
If we were going to eat, the crops had to get out in time and harvested before winter, Grandma canned everything.. hard hard work. many times the cloths were hand made, house was kept clean,
regardless of weather the cows had to be milked and the eggs gathered, Grandpa might even have to chop the ice so the cattle could drink water.
sometimes the entire family lived together the survive.

now days.. people will do anything to get a disability check, do more work to get out of work.
(granted- some people really do need disability, I have no problem with that)

BUT............
fry your brain with drugs.. get a disability check,
drink till you can't function as a normal human... get a disability check,
let yourself get so obese that you can't walk from your car to the front door of the store... get a disability check,
fake an injury.. get a disability check.

any ideas how to catch, test, examine these people to see if they really should be getting the free ride?

and.. should intentionally self caused damage be a reason to get disability??

I ask this because of so many of the people I see in my town alone that get it only because of past drug use.
these people seem to do fine with everything else in their life.. just can't work.

But they get, disability, food stamps, Medicaid, Gov assistance to pay their utility bills, and on and on.
