Oh they're real enough alright but these are the sort of guys they put someplace safe stacking bunks or filling sandbags. You won't find them out in the Forward Operating Bases with the Rangers. They're very much like the Irish Army in fact. If they weren't there they would be the guy stacking the shelves in the local Walmart. You know the guy who has to find the manager to show you where they beans are. LOL.
I'm sure I have one somewhere. It might have been last used at Lisdoonvarna so don't be surprised if you find some roach ends and Christy Moore's bodhran
To answer Stan's question; no way. In fact I wouldn't marry again for the Holy Grail, the Alchemists Stone, world peace or to save little puppies. Been there, done that.
I suppose if they can set the agenda by getting people talking about emotional stuff like Irish then good for them. It stops people thinking about the real issues and on the real issues FF, FG and Lab differ only slightly.
I'd be more concerned about the 160 thousand million euros they are giving to the banks and what taxes they are going to lump onto people in order to pay for that but carry on talking about the Irish language, it's a good distraction for a party with the same policies as the FF ones that got us into this mess.
It's awful for Cork people to travel to other parts of the world where people don't understand just what a great place Cork is and what a special race the Cork people are. Best stay in Cork where everyone knows how brilliant they are.
What is an "emotional coward"? Is it someone who isn't able to experience their own emotions or someone who won't be drawn into another persons dramas? If it's the former then it is unkind to refer to them as coward because people who are emotionally deadened are generally so as a result of trauma and as such are disabled. If it's the latter then they may be wise not to indulge some meaningless passion play with no objective other than providing an emotional experience for someone who is also possibly an "emotional coward".
If that all sounds like jibberish then that is possible because talking about emotions is jibberish but don't say that to the mega-industry that thrives on it. They get very annoyed when their livelihood is threatened. You have to feel emotions and hold them in your body. Trying to intellectualise them is like trying to rake clouds.
RE: Classic Comedy Thread
Oh yes, anything with Coogan. He's a riot!
