RE: Mind Body and Soul

I don't think karma can be anything more than passive aggressive. Key to karma is the idea that you didn't confront him, you merely wish him bad.

RE: Which do you confide in more?

There are things I'd tell my best friend that I wouldn't tell my mum and dad. And vice versa. Then there are things I'd say to a complete stranger and only a complete stranger. Things I'd say only to Siri.

RE: Have you notice?

It's perfectly natural to want a challenging lovelife when you're young. It's because we haven't suffered enough.

RE: The Final Judgement

This is why Jesus doesn't like the rich. Because they won't go to the afterlife.

One only need to look at the modern world. People living until 100 is based on familial and ecological destruction. It's not unreasonable to suggest that humanity goes extinct this century. The immortal rich wiping out humanity is a reasonable prospect.

RE: The Final Judgement

Being held to account for everything I've ever done or god will forgive me for everything I've ever done. It could go both ways.

And we invented it because of society and the paradox of our lives. The coming to terms with mortality on which all new life depends. So long as men die humanity will never perish.

RE: Negative thoughts

It's one of the problems in the pandemic. We know that western people with a degree are the dumbest people ever to have lived and its difficult to take medical advice from a class of person that failed biology. Some call it an ideology and others a religion but liberals have to fail biology or else they will fail their creed. They will lose standing.

But it's not like the vaccines won't work. People are intelligent when it is socially acceptable to be that way and a vaccine is socially acceptable. It's not an insipid plan because there doesn't need to be an insipid plan. It's just a tool to be used the important thing is your loyalty. No matter how intelligent you are you must still be able to fail biology and support the religion.

RE: Negative thoughts

In other words ignorance is bliss. You can be safer if you don't know things, if you're streetwise my advice is to ignore what you know about folks and agree with the autistic academia that prefer to puts it money on what ain't gonna happen for the sake of being unnuatural and different to who we really are.

RE: Negative thoughts

It's like the Biden style of optimism. No negative thoughts of Biden were allowed in the media and he won even though nobody likes him and he's a nonce. Biden winning is as predictable as cheating death to dodge the flu. The west doing everything it can do recapture the old position of stillborn posterity. Reversing the trend of centuries prior what the society now does is make a worse life for its kids. The late 20th century where the old spared themselves to ruin the child. Your posterity dies younger than you, it can't read and write as well as you, it gets paid half as much to work twice as hard as you. It's a posterity where Asia's middle class take pride of place at the ever shrinking table because western grown ups are something more like Peter Pan. Living in a complete fantasyland for decades until the greatest power on earth is a fascist state.

RE: Negative thoughts

And even if our own mortality has been forgotten at least verbally where's the optimistic behaviour? Why aren't you optimistically taking the 95% chance of surviving covid? Does optimism secretly mean fragile?

It's not optimism as in you're confident of winning it's optimism in the sense that you can't lose because others will pay your bill and stomach the consequences of your actions. It's too big to fail and can only hear what it wants to hear, face what it wants to face knowing that someone else will struggle in its place. It's a spinelessness really.

RE: Negative thoughts

Optimism is cowardice because you'll never make it out of this world alive. You'll forget that you were born to die and you will torture and imprison children to dodge a flu. That's now far it will go to avoid difficulty. You should remember that you were born to die.

RE: No miracles here.

What happened to the natives of the Americas when the Spanish invaded? When they were introduced to globalism? They died of the plague.

Now I'm not saying that social distancing would make us quite the same as those natives. So isolated that a great many more viruses become dangerously novel, but we are in the right area by keeping 2m apart at all times. At the end of the day we were adapted to a globalised world connected with billions and our immune system needs to be primed for that.

RE: No miracles here.

A better way of looking at is to say your miracle is coming to an end. The stroke of luck that removed the struggle for existence between the 1950s and the early 21st century is running out. Getting somewhere in life and simply staying alive are beginning to ask something of you the individual the society cannot carry you from cradle to grave.

RE: Protection vs control

People can mean well but still be controlling. I've just watched some childless penguins on YouTube try to steal a baby and smother it with love.

RE: What do you like about Connecting Singles?

Well the price is right

RE: Protection vs control

You're being controlled to protect them is the main difference. A human shield that protects them from you finding someone better.

RE: Would you?

I wouldn't marry a woman with kids(plural)unless she was a millionaire and they can be raised in a different wing of the house.

RE: What does responsibility mean to you?

I would put responsibility with rights and the range of possibility. Society prospers which enables you to do many things you were never able to do before.

And then there's freedom as in two fingers to society. Let me sit amongst the turds on my own. Just leave me alone.

RE: What does responsibility mean to you?

Purpose and discipline. The overwhelming need to obey, obey the code.

"I am the state" - Louis XIV (power)

"I am the first servant of the state" - Frederick the Great (responsibility)

RE: Seven crystals to boost your mood

Not really lift my mood like candles or chasing a kitten around with a bell. I'm personally of the dangerous male logic that would smelt all jewelry down to pave the streets. Does a next to useless sparkle have to be prized? In this day and age there there are so options to spend money on. Massive potential for our resources.

RE: Time is running out -------->

Even if you live a lie by say marrying a brunette when you prefer blondes that too is not freedom. You're just predetermined to spite yourself. It's you all over to do something like that.

RE: Time is running out -------->

It would make a certain amount of sense if there wasn't any free will. That in reality we can only move one way in space just as we can only move one way in time. You were born with some genes in an environment with some influence. That's a baby boomer male, that's a baby boomer female, and both are alien to the Sioux. Completely alien to the Sioux. There isn't anyway for you to become the Sioux however much a certain type of postmodern may want to be the Sioux. Postmodernism meets an individual genetic tendency towards novelty. That's all that is.

RE: Adult Crushes

Now that people are living longer they will be immature. What we are dealing with in the modern world is a reasonable simulation of youth instead of young life and the right to life. Peter Pan lives in Dracula's house.

RE: TALES of the unexpected ...

Insane is a strong word but it's not always in our power to face reality. Head in pieces all we really want is to be in a controlled environment. Forces at work beyond our own - which is just as well.

RE: Competition

In a partner? Not really. I don't want my arms competing against my legs I want my whole body to cooperate with itself. The family unit is high-trust and effectively communist in nature. What is ours is ours.

RE: What do you wan't?

2021

RE: What do you wan't?

When I say power I mean that you come from people who faced tremendous odds again and again. You remember your roots so that 90% of what 2020 considers a problem is no problem for you. It's a spiritual definition of power really.

RE: USA

They were the first to get a TV, the first to get internet and broadband.. they are those who have been on social media the longest. Whatever we say about Americans is the way the whole world is going. They've got your kids, deck. Thanks to technology the spelling will be great, but scratch the surface and there's nothing there. Lazy and pretentious thinking is not our fault, tis simply the way of the world.
