Marrying a black woman works for a white man and I think that's ugly wife, happy life. Education, the economy, mental health will amount to permanent scars. Things that kill people later, things that make the quality of life even worse than what the baby boomers had in store for us. Which was shockingly bad. Remember that today's old people ate their own parents when they're coming at you with a knife. But it's not really their fault, it's the cradle to grave lifetime that believes what they're doing to posterity will somehow work out okay. Like the environment.

In fact i'd extend the same thinking to the developing world. I'd argue that vaccines and treatments are like an arms race that about 20% of the world's population can win. The majority of the world? Better off catching it last year. It was only worth waiting for the vaccine if you A) are the most privileged people ever to have lived, and B) going to take it. Both covid and all other problems are now more dangerous for the majority of the world. We denied them the opportunity to gain experience from the first wave and every battle they face will be tougher from now on. If you're not vaccinated then you're worse off for the wait. This is a fact.
Kids would be better off catching it quick as like in a pox party. The vast majority will be fine but a few kids will now die who wouldn't have done if we'd kept the schools open last year. If covid gets more experience but you're still a virgin, that's more risk. Maybe you'd get lucky and swerve covid altogether. But it's a gamble to play dead. Its made kids not exactly vulnerable but more vulnerable than they were. Hopefully the death toll from not letting kids catch it last year will be small.
The mean average is about 1 in 300 cases die that 99.7% figure. But those who would have died soon anyway throw the mean out for everyone else.
Yet there is a complication and it is that the virus is getting worse. The safest route for children would be to have allowed them to catch the original variant last year. Vaccines and the Delta variant are worse for kids than the alpha variant. Covid dodging has meant that if you don't get the vaccine, your odds are worse than a year ago. Kids face worse odds either way. Safer with the original variant over vaccines or delta.
The mortality risk is upto 1% in the old rich countries and upto 0.2% in the young poor countries. Vaccinated is closer to 0.1% in the old rich where the young poor would be better off trading their vaccine for a warm meal.
20% of people who catch covid die according to Yemen, and 0.05% according to Singapore. A nation so well controlled that it may as well be a lab versus a place you'd have to be dead before they'd realise.
They want to deal with it now because it's not flu season. We'd never get out otherwise. British lockdowns kill thousands at home and millions abroad amongst the global poor, but we still have 5k to go.
And besides Branson and Bezos have been blasted into space. There's almost no chance of either man catching covid, no need to for us all to kill ourselves making sure they're not exposed when it's been blasted into space. Why not have them stay up there permanently? There'll be no need for this fortress for fat cats. Let Bezos work out how he lives until 130 from there, leave the rest of us out of it.
It's not so much what you have or haven't got, but why. So it depends on the individual. Although maybe not even that much as the whole world is victim of a system that makes men cripple and then eat their young. Poverty extends way beyond that bottom 10% of the gene pool that is a dickhead and forever will be a dickhead. It'll reach that point where you may as well assume that the poor are deserving.
