Why it seems almost perfectly designed to get a fight going. The torture of billions in untold suffering that has to hear about those who would have died soon anyway. People have been insured for way, way too long.
I guess they're basically the same thing apart from the dedication. A person with everything to lose is arguably more capable than a desperate nobody but it probably depends on the terms of the loss. I mean at first they came for the trade unionists, which to be honest wouldn't have bothered me that much. If the loss comes on slowly it's easy to do nothing, like a frog in the slowly boiling pan of water.
We didn't turn the authoritarian states into liberal democracies, the opposite has occured. Until now money was always connected to personhood you suddenly had the means to an act upon your innate curiosities which is an inherently liberal thing to do. In the far east there is now only the affluent cattle. A content with being faceless in spite of the means to be somebody.
The real issue is that everybody knows the fascist states are performing better than anywhere else in the world. Consistently better not only a brief spell in the 1930s. Asian despotism is the best way to run the world and that's what's coming home to roost.

I guess what we need to defend is the truth. Feminine or masculine you are still male or female, look 21 or 30 at 25 then you are still 25. Well it is actually more of the women now. More of the women turning themselves into men where it was almost exclusively the other way around in the days when it was difficult to be trans.
