Older people need to stand out from the crowd in the most minor way possible. What is not the typical focus of attention I'm talking about shoes, the right shoes. It is to not dress like African Americans with their clown shoes and clown trousers.
And from about 25 onwards you'd never catch me in my vintage Olympic tracksuit from the Soviet Union. Not only has the prospect of Stalinism become too real to joke about it is simply more grown up to dress less like a political statement.
Sportswear is for sport is pretty old school but I can't take middle aged man seriously if he's wearing a basketball shirt. A man who dresses for the gym everywhere.
Not appropriate but I feel the same about a 40 year old man in a baseball cap unless he's off to play a friendly game of baseball which I'd suspect he isn't. In this country we have baseball caps and baseball bats, but there is no baseball. Sport is not the reason for all this sportswear, particularly at that age.
But look at Israel at #9. What makes the Jews so resistant to the junk pushing media and immune to affluent liberal degeneracy? The Jews have technology and they're not even dying out. That's amazing.
We have to come up with something deep and meaningless after that kind of trauma. Unreasonable in a good way because if 2 add 2 made 4, they'd suffer for that.
I would argue that the loss of free speech will spur our ability to communicate in other ways. Maybe even through the medium of dance or a new sound in music, Star Wars not being Star Wars but something new and different that is the equivalent of Star Wars. Not that I especially liked Star Wars the first time. Anybody with any personality gravitate away from the mainstream in the same way that the Alt-Right on Youtube are funnier than any comedian now allowed to take the stage. Oppression is something to overcome.
Which is actually one of the things I welcome about society becoming more Orwellian. The world can only get better at communicating silently under that level of threat. We can safely that the end of free speech will act against autism as optimistic as it sounds to say that the end of free speech will lead to things worth hearing. The tree of liberty must be nourished by the blood of patriots and tyrants. Black people in prison are much cooler than whites because they can't say things. George Floyd is supported because blacks are cooler than whites and it is because they stopped talking knowing that the cops are as cool as AIDS and twice as dangerous.
The silent communication, the unwritten understanding. The truth is that I don't talk that much, and most of the things a woman says mean something different to the line as written. The best communication is to be very perceptive.
Many people have been vaccinated so we won't need a hall pass when we visit the bog. Or I should say that we shouldn't need a hall pass to visit the bog infantilised culture of greying baby or not.
In contrast to more state power I would argue for deeper but fewer relationships with people. A reversion to type better suited to these new conditions that punish those who meet everyone and mean nothing to anyone. The modern man, the machine man, the masses. The power to move the earth makes me very uncomfortable and I admit that it's an article of faith to let it be. In the context of the danger that the human species has always faced there would be no emergency today. The species is inherently more robust than advanced society realises.
I realise that letting nature take its course is something the 1% stands against with every fibre of its being. A millions times no. Every breath it takes is in a sense a revolt against nature. But this same attitude would kill the earthy who have to live with nature red in tooth and claw. A few people may have the power to move the earth in accordance with their own selfish class interests, but it could kill a normal human being. Beware the unintended consequences of your actions. The interests of the majority are served by nature taking its course which is why it's not allowed to happen.
If this was polio I'm sure we'd feel a whole lot differently. No the point is that 3 million die every year from not having some vaccine and many of them children. Why now that it's 2.5 million old rich dead do we pull out all the fascism? Why are these lives so much more important than others? Even the lives of children?
Plus it might help us make some new friends with Trump gone and the EU behind us. I hope Britain chooses not to be so frugal with the old vaccinations. Giving my dose to the old man from Peru is a form of foreign aid that I actually like.
If nothing else we must convince what few young people we have left that they are in fact really old and feeble. Liable to collapse under the slightest of difficulty. Young men particularly must not be forced into this position of an old woman kept by future generations.
Another reason not to be a vaccine nationalist is because this is our fault as much as it China's. The global poor would have carried on throughout this crisis being strong people with a happier future ahead in stark contrast to our aging population of technocratic ghouls.
Vaccine nationalist I am not. Does a virus care about national barriers? I suspect not considering it's not even human. This virus calls the whole world home.
Could easily be the reason one of my ancestors became a farmer. Sharks are not cattle, why can't they eat what innocently grew up in a field like a civilised person?
