RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Working conditions are now shockingly bad across much of the private sector. Those who work are now competing in a far more competitive market.

We don't have lazy workers what we have is too many people who are not gainfully employed. It's the welfare class robbing workers of the 15 hour working week promised by Keynes. We could all work 15 hours a week if everybody did it. The old days of 40 hours hardly working has become 30 hours hard work, it should be 15.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

The internet intensifies the ABC. Always be cost-cutting. Not necessarily is it a blessing for workers but it's a great place to shop. It's the opposite of the 1970s.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

In fact the internet is deflationary in all ways not just the exploitative. It's wonderfully efficient, goods and services can very easily find where they will be most useful. This is deflationary.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Connecting singles is deflationary. When you can get a woman way out of your league because of where you were born, this is deflation.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

The pandemic disrupts the supply of cheap and easy labour and makes it harder to buy from China. This will cause prices to go up.

Do the above in addition to putting more Americans on welfare and the prices will go up even more. The credit and free money is based on trade relations with the east, buying from people willing to save is what prints our money without it losing value. Globalization is like moving to a poor country where your money goes a lot further, moving from rich country to poor is basically a free lunch.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Immigration most probably lowers inflation. Importing somebody of adult comes without the costs of an American worker who will likely demand higher wages and certainly require being taught to read and write. These would be costs for you to bear. Giving birth in America is far more expensive than importing a ready made adult from somewhere cheap.

But you can't really do it because you'll get it twisted. As deflationary as china and mass immigration are there'll be pushback from your own family. The west is now so sterile and hostile to family that it's 20 years away from population collapse.

RE: True Patriots..

And we need a new right with less hypocrisy. They're not any less to blame for why China wears the trousers this century.

We'd be looking for a President Carlson and his American First Lady. Tucker and his American first and only wife.

RE: True Patriots..

And from conservatives we will get sameyness but also freedom. And from the liberals we have the flag of love flown from above. We can force you to be new, and we can force you to behave.

RE: True Patriots..

And moreso the latter. Progressives lean towards money and systems, security; we can be inclusive on the basis of being watched like a hawk.

The truly Marxist idea is dead in the water. Serial killers don't exist it's just the cruelty and coldness of the way world works. Even if this were so every development makes the serial killer more likely to exist. Not less likely, more likely. Marx is dead.

RE: True Patriots..

Well it will be. The nation hasn't been a progressive concept since the days we were living in fiefs under a local lord. The ideal of progressives now is to expand the franchise to encompass the whole world. One country and it's the earth. Underlying that is the liberal perception that the human species is not a threat in general. You can bring in the outsiders as people are inherently good or at the least you have the money, the systems, the security to make it work anyway.

RE: Is the fall of the west is close?

David Bowie. Saviour Machine

President Joe once had a dream
The world held his hand, gave their pledge
So he told them his scheme for a Saviour Machine

They called it the Prayer, its answer was law
Its logic stopped war, gave them food
How they adored till it cried in its boredom

Please don't believe in me, please disagree with me
Life is too easy, a plague seems quite feasible now
Or maybe a war, or I may kill you all

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
My logic says burn so send me away
Your minds are too green, I despise all I've seen
You can't stake your lives on a Saviour Machine

I need you flying, and I'll show that dying
Is living beyond reason, sacred dimension of time
I perceive every sign, I can steal every mind

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
My logic says burn so send me away
Your minds are too green, I despise all I've seen
You can't stake your lives on a Saviour Machine

RE: Is the fall of the west is close?

The west is in decline but from a place of unparalleled privilege and success. It's the end of an era, a golden era, but not the end categorically.

And the future is unnerving because the only one with the sense to deal with it is AI. It'll have to be beyond a fast-learner and beyond human in its ability to take in the breadth of events.

RE: Is the fall of the west is close?

I think something will snap in our aging yet revolutionary society. Technologically revolutionary. I see a massive emotional attachment to the golden age that existed from the end of world war 2 to 2008. I imagine it wanting to stay in last century's tech society.

Which is not the case in Singapore because their old people grew up in a hut. They're modern not post modern. The word natural doesn't necessarily mean good, they know what it is.

RE: What annoys you about the forums ..

For me it's the words games and the fact that I can't post videos from YouTube

RE: Macho Man,

And what do older men and Africa have in common?

Gratitude for the fact you're not dead. Now that is manly. All is vanity beyond the gratitude for being alive.

RE: Macho Man,

Err, I'd have to say that the barbarians are more masculine. I don't think Africans are plagued by being indecisive and worried what others think like those from educated democracy. Affluence, democracy, education, technology - all of these things make men more like women.

But then macho is sometimes a product of the above. You might call it lad culture. Why do young men in the west jump off the roof for a laugh? Because they've never been to war. Never been to war or engaged in any kind of struggle for existence.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Nobody voted for it to be fair. We were just told and paid to stay at home. If you're paid to do nothing there'll be nothing your money can buy...save what the robots can produce.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Well there is only so long you can eat chicken thighs before you discover the beans that don't come in tomato sauce. I'd tried the meatless meat, meatballs that reduced this grown man to tears and were not even that cheap. You just don't give yourself to meatless meat when there all these beans that don't come in tomato sauce, a new world world away from all these scandalous lies that's been told about beans. You might make a bean fart, but a bean will not make a fart through you.

RE: Ridiculous Inflation

Cooking without meat is actually not bad

RE: What happen with Norway?

Its a bit full-on although I always assumed that Santa was gay to be honest. How many straight men are there with that many toys?

RE: Is everything a choice in life?

People would be very annoying if they didn't have to live as part of a group or in the real world. I'm not going to order two deliveries because one member of the family prefers KFC over McDonald's. If I did that they would have no choice but to be bullied at school. If you make them first at home they'll be last in the playground. The freedoms of an only child come with downsides. If everything revolves around you it might come with things you didn't want revolving around you. Like fists. The children who can't make compromises will have no choice but to get beaten up.

RE: Why cant I find a gal?

We tend to tell you everything you want to hear so as to avoid knocking your confidence. But everything a woman does is hit your confidence as hard as she possibly can. The thing between her legs is primeval in it's clannishness

RE: Why cant I find a gal?

I blame consumer society turning men into customers. What is a customer? Always right and the main focus of attention. Customers are not men.

RE: Social conditioning

And that's playing out in the pandemic. On the one hand we have the precious who see covid as really bad - which is an insult to those who know what really bad is - and then we have the disagreeable underbelly who are out to make themselves look hard no matter what happens. The latter are insulting by another way. How much of a contrarian have you gotta be to turn down a vaccine when you're fat and 65?

And then both sides see dead people that just happen to fit their political agenda. If you're anti-vax then you'll know someone killed by a vaccine, and if you're pro-vax you'll know even more people who died of covid. How very coincidental.

RE: Social conditioning

Not to say that everybody has it easy we've reached that level of health and safety where mosh pits become attractive. You don't need to watch the film fight club to see what's going on. People are starting to, at least from a distance, need something to fear to desire that sense of grit.

And it's just like many relationships that cannot be maintained without a good argument. Sure there are soulmates who don't need this antagonism to stay together, but for the most part we do.

RE: Social conditioning

I fear that being blown to bits is the only way not to scorn the tranquility of the greatest generation. They weren't trying to meditate or anything, they'd spend hours doing nothing content to be that bored. Patience becomes you and this is what built Eden before it was torn down for the entertainment purposes of baby boomers.

RE: Social conditioning

Everything must have felt like an improvement after the war. Like a garden of Eden almost. But unfortunately for us the fates are cyclic. Good times make terrible and precious and very, very terrible people. If you want to build the garden of Eden one must first be blown to bits.
