RE: Can you think about the future without being sad? Where will you be in 12 years?

It might sound strange to us now but Musk and neuralink? These will be the ordinary humans, these will be the humans that still die and believe in the afterlife etc. They might look like universal soldier but they are essentially human.

It's the woke that will go deeply into genetics. They might look more human but they are not. Far from it. The science itself has come into change human nature actually doctor what is under the hood. They don't die per se but get uploaded into a database they call Gaia.

RE: Can you think about the future without being sad? Where will you be in 12 years?

Amish

RE: Can you think about the future without being sad? Where will you be in 12 years?

And actually civilisation on earth is so big that world war 3 salts the earth for everyone. We are connected to civilisation for better or worse.

And my honest opinion is a simple life lies in going forwards, not backwards. An intergalactic empire where Hamish people have their own planet. An extraterrestrial world that levels off at an 18th century means of production. And then a world for woke where genetically engineered telepathy makes privacy redundant and all differences melt away through the window into each and every brain.

RE: Can you think about the future without being sad? Where will you be in 12 years?

We can see the beginning of how a managed return to the dirt will result in war through the pandemic and the great reset. Imagine doing what's been done since 2020 times 10, there would be a bloodbath and establishment that falls very quickly indeed.

RE: Can you think about the future without being sad? Where will you be in 12 years?

We might end up looking like cyborgs but it's the pro-life option. Go forth and multiply.

There are two human things we can do and that's one of them. The other is war. A return to simplicity by blowing civilisation to bits. Even the managed return to living in a hole in the ground will result in war. People will find that managed return to the dirt ludicrously anti-human and war will break out. The same result by another way.

RE: The Queen has covid

And I guess that's a shift in the priority of education. Why must you know so much irrelevant to the job to get the job? Because of religious education. To abide to the creed of a certain class of society. It doesn't matter if the hospitals are short of nurses, we must lose each nurse for a number of years so as not to offend their master.

RE: The Queen has covid

More than this I like to keep the old feudalism because the new one is ignoble. A technofeudalism where titleage is made out of degrees unnecessary for the job. The Queen won't feel personally deserving to be Queen unlike new money which will. No matter how much new money inherits wealth from the culture, there will be no humility or gratitude only a sense that you deserve to be the most privileged people ever to have lived. And I find it dangerous.

RE: The Queen has covid

Two very different reason to support the monarchy. For me it devalues praise but also condemnation. What you love and what you hate is just what you love and what you hate. People can care all about the wrong things so popularity and unpopularity don't really mean that much. That's what I see in the monarchy.

RE: The Queen has covid

And I believe in that, believe in fortune and misfortune, believe in fate because no matter how Orwellian and managed down to the smallest detail life is, there will still be an element of chance a possibility for things to happen not because of our making but because of life itself being like a lottery.

RE: The Queen has covid

Status is not merit basically. Those without merit can be of great status, those without status can be of great merit. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life.

The monarchy serves to demonstrate that life is unfair. And because it's unfair the elites owe sympathy towards their lessers, and the lesser are NOT an inferior race. I believe this in contrast to the technocracy and an elite of experts, the arrogant and prideful seeing themselves as a superior race. The belief of the educated who are not smart necessarily, but have certainly rigged the system so that credentials and a matrix of intelligence scores replace ones ability to do the job.

RE: Restoring Freedom

But the good news is that at least you get to keep me. I'll not be moving to Australia for higher wages because they execute dogs. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?

RE: Restoring Freedom

And England particularly and it seems to depend on how much of your lifestyle you actually earned. Wales and Scotland live at least a couple of social classes above anything they do which is important in a society of upper class hypochondria. Just a pity they don't really have any money.

RE: Restoring Freedom

To be fair Britain has been remarkably brave by comparison to the effete in other lands. I always said that the pandemic was inverting the spirit of the blitz like captain Tom's charity, a fraud run by deceitful cowards who take from the many to give to the few. The spirit of the blitz lives on in our resistance to dismantling the freedoms grandad died for.

RE: Hungry man's breakfast

Thanks Tom that would have been a lovely breakfast

RE: The Queen has covid

I believe so that we haven't heard too much about that for a year. Vaccine urgency declined through 2021 into the position they are today - more harm than good.

All the same I hope she recovers. If not, she's had a good innings.

RE: What great movies are not likely to be made again today?

White Chicks. Now there's a film which shows the pure evil that innocent and utterly harmless fun can be

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 99

R.E.M. Nightswimming

RE: Where do you get more joy and peace?

Torn between moonlit lake and the bog. If only my own toilet came with the view, I refuse to crap on the floor.

RE: How do you handle it?

I like to think of it as deepreal in an age of deepfake. And it's this way even when I watch Star Wars. I don't want to see plastic Luke wearing a CGI face, I wanna see crackhead Luke Skywalker with every dose of heroin etched onto his tragic mug.

RE: How do you handle it?

For me it's another way of showing that I'm not looking. That and the fact I kinda like letting people think I have an ugly face, it's a sort of counter-culture to Instagram.

RE: How do you handle it?

I'm sure they are and some people will have already found love. It's better for everyone if you blend seamlessly into those lovers and ignore the outside world completely. There's only so much happiness in the world and you've got to keep it in.

RE: How do you handle it?

I just don't look. Not looking is one way to show that you're not looking even if that is surprisingly unclear to some people. You gotta give people the benefit of the doubt, assume for a degree of intelligence.

RE: UK battens down.

Give us a shout if you need any help rebuilding the ruins, we'll send Tom over

RE: The disadvantages about modern life ..

Our ever-expanding shroud of ignorance. There's a lot more we are aware of without understanding any of it. An earth with a Venus-like atmosphere is not just global warming. I think it might die of anxiety and smoke without fire.

RE: Can you declutter your home from stuff you don’t need?

If we can put up with some disorder then we can save personality from regimentation. We can get too far away from the 1960s with the clockwork man with the clockwork mind and clockwork heart. We are not machines.

RE: Can you declutter your home from stuff you don’t need?

Probably less likely to buy it to begin with but I resist being that tidy because all the best music was made on drugs. Not that I'm a musician. Minimalism just feels a bit fascist, a bit corporate, a bit like you'll own nothing and be happy. And maybe we will be happy.

RE: Looking forward to live overseas

And with China sabotaging itself and the resulting inflation, now is the best time to gut the public sector and de-credential society as the prospects for materially resourceful work open up. From those prosecuted to provide the justice system with work to those doing general studies and media the time is nigh to purge the public sector of its vermin and let all the bailed out business go bump.

RE: Looking forward to live overseas

We've still got another six social classes to fall before we meet India in the middle. And besides there'll be a civil war before that happens. The west has made life worse every year for the last 15 years and 2020 accelerated the rate of decline by doubling down on everything we do wrong, but those cowards are temporary and it'll crash long before we actually do live like Indians.

RE: Looking forward to live overseas

We have 22 times the money they do(on average)and even then they live down to make India great again. Space exploration raises the prestige of the nation and why would you need eye surgery when you can shine in reflected glory?

RE: Looking forward to live overseas

We are more productive and skilled than most indians. And the colonial west has a lot of land and resources for not a lot of people, blessed by the dead natives into a society where most people are a landowning middle class.
