RE: Missing Australian child found

And when the media says "treat a man like a dog to behave like a good puppy" we should respond the same way as we would if they said that about a woman.

Reinstate the original, humanist meaning of treat someone like an animal and they'll behave like an animal. The one where dehumanisation is a bad thing something that you shouldn't do, not something that you should.

RE: Grocery

Women are better at shopping in general particularly when it's the little things that make up a rich and varied diet. Men suck at variety. We'd be looking at him to make a huge purchase or provide a limitless supply of the same thing.

RE: How should women behave?

I'm a very strong feminist who believes women should be able to do any mad thing they want.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

To sum up my conclusion god exists, or is believed to exist, so as to not check your pulse throughout the day. More than anything else faith exists to resist this life as a mobile intensive care unit.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

Basically he gives us a reason why so as to never be caught dead in a fitbit. Once you see a youth keeping themselves under close monitoring like a dying man then you know that the road is coming to it's end. Young life becomes spiritually impossible in a late stage society, in the cultural hospice that is part and parcel with a theory of everything and the end of history. An aging population gradually eroding the reason why we are alive, a humanity driven to suicide by the life of luxury and progress itself.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

The idea of a god watching you will never be as stifling and limited as big brother. Behaving like a child will always be more free than watching yourself like a hawk like the old dead men do in their arrogance and vanity.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

Godless is a mentality where nothing gets left to chance because all we are is the finishing touches on a theory of everything. To believe you are the end of history having it all worked out is the death of god and the spirit of death itself.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

The Godhead is effective in the living and not in the dead, in the becoming and the changing, not in the become and the set-fast; and therefore, similarly, the reason is concerned only to strive towards the divine through the becoming and the living, and the understanding only to make use of the become and the set-fast.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

God is dead once our buildings are large enough to become like god meaning that there is no real mystery to what man does. What you have then is calculating behaviour that can be easily calculated.

The godhead is alive only in the up and coming. God is a young man where the future is a mysterious adventure and you don't have any past achievements and you're free to become whatever is possible. You're not trapped by a modern sense that life is 98% complete with all the great achievements of your culture in the past.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

It's intuitive not to end your own life but try giving a reasonable explanation for why that is?

Faith is confidence in the life less examined because only as a mystery is life something to be lived. Knowledge and reason render life a problem to be solved and from there will arise big brother and watching yourself like a hawk. The modern mind is a life self-conscious where nothing flows and everything is schemed, what they would call self-mastery represents the end of intuitive and spontaneous behaviour and the rise of the plastics.

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

Don't know why*

RE: Why did God begin life on earth?

To give us an alternative to saying that we are all specks of dust, nothing. Being reasonable you might as well kill yourself but if things are alive for a mysterious reason we don't know, then it is worth living. We have a reason why because we don't why.

RE: Smart and developed nation + Positive thinker is

France is a run down, pessimistic place with an enviable way of life. Which is probably things stayed exactly as the same for over 40 years. No chance would anybody welcome the 21st century if they'd ever had it that good, they would not welcome this day's race to be the most successful hell on earth.

RE: Meditation

I think that's what it is. Spirituality would drive anyone mad if they were perfectly sane.

RE: Mobs stop children being vaccinated.

Vaccinating the recovered never made much sense to me. If you didn't die of it the first time, why would you the second time? Lets assume you've not developed cancer in the interim period.

RE: Worst sin ever?

I'm not sure. Whether it was time or my teenage experience as an English boy living in Wales that put the boot on the other foot. Oh how they hated the foreigner who could both read and do maths in the Welsh mountains, it was then that I knew how the Jews feel.

RE: Worst sin ever?

But atoning for my sin came years later

RE: The world has gone mad…

Or more accurately a world built by soulless reason.

RE: The world has gone mad…

We live in a world of soulless reason and I think it's the lack of kids. You're entitled to make 50 and it nurtures ingratitude.

RE: 8 prominent Doctors and scientists ...

The truth is that once you've endured enough suffering you begin to call the whole world brother. But this is not the time to be a Charles Dickens or Freddie Mercury. It goes against everything we are supposed to be.

RE: 8 prominent Doctors and scientists ...

Because what lepers are is the opposite of authority, they're the anti-policeman personified. That's the point is that you're not suspicious of everyone you meet. If anything it's trusting and open to a fault, the endurance of those who suffer is even more of a man than the regular guy. And it'll cost you

RE: 8 prominent Doctors and scientists ...

They're not 100% sure. And even if they were it wouldn't me we all react in the same way.

And politics is an art, politicians intuit what people need to hear which is usually not being full of doubt like Jimmy Carter.
