RE: Aliens announce they're ready to beam us up

for every dead politician there are 10 men/women to take the open space. So that won't work.
A world without money where people just do the work they think is needed at that moment would be a better solution. Then you even wouldn't need politicians.

RE: In 10 years

Of course, everybody has to pay.
Actually in the Netherlands tax is the part of your salary you never see. Then there's tax on everything you buy, tax on everything of value that you own, tax from our local government we have to pay, extra tax on fuel, tobacco, alcohol etc. Even tax on fruits and vegetables, they want us to live healthy, well, make the healthy stuff cheap and things like coca cola, icecream, pizza and french fries, and every unhealthy thing expensive. They should do it world wide, see how many people loose weight in no time.

RE: Daily Chuckle ...

Last christmas we had a party at work. And I had drunk about 20 glasses of beer, so I decided it wasn't a good idea to get into my car and drive home. So I took a taxi, and that was a wise decission, cause, halfway my home there was an alcoholcontrolpost of the police. They don't control taxidrivers.
Surprisingly I arrived home safe, I really was flabbergasted. I never had been a taxidriver before, I can't remember where I stole the taxi, and now it's in my garage, I don't know what to do with it.

RE: Daily Chuckle ...

In disneyworld there's a high tower, and every hour someone will climb it and jump into a small bucket of water. So it's almost 11 am, when an old man appears, leaning on his stick. He grabs the microphone and says: Hello, I'm Johnny, I'm 99 years old, and within 5 minutes I will climb that tower and jump into that small bucket of water.
The whole crowd shouts: Please, don't do it.
The old man says, Okay, then I won't, next try will be at 12 am.

RE: Which is more honest...some with a fake profile photo or someone without a photo?

posting a fake photo says about you, you don't care to lie and cheat, without posting a photo you say: I'm ugly and insecure.
I prefer the last group.

RE: In 10 years

would like the government to get the hell of my back and leave me be. I know what I do, and what I do is good for society. The children I learn to play chess will be better in things like science and maths. So they will be worthy and hardworking taxpayers.

-Mom, what is political correctness?
-That is when a coercive, insensitive and hateful minority imposes it's will on a majority.

Think about it...

RE: Oil producers say we need to limit oil based products not just supplies to have a greener planet

That is just funny bs. They created it all, and created a market for it. And now they blame us that we use their products.
It's like baking a pie for your beloved ones and saying that they can't eat it.

RE: A story to tell

well, my weekend was a story.

Yesterday while I was preparing for my 2nd vaccination I couldn't find my passport, so I searched the house from up to down twice. Nothing. Then I got a phonecall, and cause I was almost sure it had to be on my desk I decided to look under my keyboard, and bingo. Went through all the papers twice.
Then I cycled to the location and about 200 meters before arriving I heard a strange sound . So I didn't trust it and stopped. Then I rolled my bike slowly forward seeing if I got a spoke broken. Bang, my tire exploded. I walked to the location and there I discovered I was a day to early. So I had to leave, walking to a bike repairshop 3 km furtheron, it was recoomended by a friend of mine who lives in that area. But I found out this shop was twice as expensive as my bikedealer. So I didn't got my bike repaired there. I turned around and walked about 7 km's back to my own village. I called my bikedealer in the mean time and he aranged another bike for the coming days. He was about to close when I phoned, so I had to ask for the key next door, a Turkish Pizzeria.
But having drunk nothing for hours, walking 3 hours with my bike, arriving in my village I first went to the pub and had some beer.
In the evening I got a phonecall, I didn't have to teach anymore on sunday, the chessclub is open for the kids. So I had time to rest til late this morning and got my vaccin today.
Sometimes life sucks.
