She was born at a rest stop on the Kansas state line In the back of a Dodge in the summer time Her momma named her Indiana like their license plate And with the hum of the tires on the interstate She was cryin'
They left her at a Denny's up in Colorado In a blanket with her name written on a note They said, "Forgive us Lord for not takin' her But this child has a better chance of makin' it In someone else's arms"
And it's a crazy thing Fate has perfect wings All the way down the line Angels working overtime (Angels working overtime)
She was raised in a place called Cheyenne Wells But she never fit in and everyone could tell That she didn't belong in some prairie town And when she turned eighteen she bought a ticket out On a greyhound
They stopped a few minutes out of Santa Fe She got out for a smoke and they drove away She hitched a ride with a boy right out of school He said "I'm headed out west" And she said "Me too, if that's alright"
And it's a crazy thing Fate has perfect wings All the way down the line Angels working overtime (Angels working overtime)
It took a couple hundred miles till they fell in love They knew forever was the only thing good enough And in a moment of passion in a motel room They held on tight and their aim was true Now they're countin' down the days And dreamin' all night In an apartment in L.A.
It's a crazy thing Fate has perfect wings All the way down the line Angels working overtime (Angels working overtime)

Eagle's calling and he's calling your name Tides are turning, bringing winds of change Why do I feel this way? The promise of a new day The promise, promise of a new day
As through time, the earth moves under my feet One step closer to make love complete What has the final say? The promise of a new day The promise, promise of a new day (x3) The promise
And so time over time What will change the world? No one knows (no one knows) So the only promise is a day to live, to give And share with one another
See the wisdom from mistakes in our past Hear the younger generation ask Why do I feel this way? The promise of a new day The promise, promise of a new day (x6) We can make it, we can make it better, baby
So time over time What will change the world? No one knows (no one knows) So the only promise is a day to live, to give And share with one another

My mother has been legally blind in her left eye since she was 2. When I was growing up, she applied everywhere in town for a job and no one would hire her. Everyone said "Go get disability." When she did try to get disability, they said "You can still see, go get a job." We lived on $201/mo from welfare and food stamps.
Today, my cousin gets disability for one of her twin boys cause he was born with webbed toes. Where's the WTF?! emote? Another cousin gets disability for being stupid. Seriously. She purposely failed a test and said she was illiterate (which she's not, she got to 10th grade before she got knocked up and dropped out).
We really didn't have any male role models at all when I was growing up. We had my uncle, but he was an alcoholic. The boys were just like your typical boy, and most of us girls were tomboys too, lol!
OT, but this topic reminds me of a story about my Uncle Jim. Him and his wife (Shirley) got into an arguement. Well, Shirley, decided that she would leave Uncle Jim to "teach him a lesson". A week later, she hadn't heard from him and went back to the house to see if he was ok. When she walked in, the house was perfectly clean. Uncle Jim was at the table working on a model ship and he told her "Be quiet, I have a cake in the oven."
Definitely, but it is necessary occassionally to change out the wardrobe. I wore my 16s as long as I could until I just couldn't keep them up even with a belt, lol. I'll wear these as long as I can, but I have to admit though, I'm looking forward to yard sale season.
Well, I was a wedding planner/caterer for 8 years, so I'm kinda weddinged-out. Probably, something small. None of my family would attend anyway unless there was free food.
Depends on when the party would be. Wearing glasses now until my contacts come in, but the rest of me is the same. Although, if you get close to me, you can see my hair is different shades of brown/dark blonde (my profile pic looks like one colour).
