After seeing the movie, "The man with two brains", I would prefer the extra brain to be outside of myself. I watched this scary movie once where this guy was saying yummy more brains. Okay, I am losing it.

Good question. That is why I think it is good to communicate. We don't have to do it all by ourself. Two heads or even more can be better than one. It is good to get information from various places so one has more information to go by. Sometimes decisions made at night or in the heat of the moment can be rash.

I remember his impression of those two vultures. I also remember hi Clem Kadiddlehooper. I liked his closing format of "God Bless". Bennie Hill was another who could comedy without being filthy, either. I got a dvd of the first three shows of the Long Ranger, too with Tonto's first encounter with the Lone Ranger. I got some of the first Superman's debut. I really do love the nostagia. I got the first episode of "You bet your life" with Groucho Marx. I thought it was funny with them introducing the brand new 1954 Desoto. The commercial showed how the Desoto with its brand new automatic transmission could go off road through the desert without getting stuck in the sand.

I am sure happy for Earl and you getting along so well. My brother had a lot of extra ham left over so he gave it to me. I took it to work and it was nice to have something to share with the other aides. Usually it is me that is mooching but last night the mham was a big hit. Especialy for one aide but she worked a double and didn't bring enough for two shifts. One thing I would like to caution though is about food being left out. My charge nurse was checking the food to make sure we weren't going to get sick from food being left out.

Thanks for sharing that. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. Kids grow up to be adults and they remember stuff so I am glad you posted it.

Yeah. I don't think we are going to have an El Nino this year. The only thing that lead me to believe that it was going to be a cold winter was the fact of how many acorns my trees behind the house has put out. It is crunch, crunch, crunch walking though the back yard. I have seen many deer on the back roads.

I have had to make sure I had enough light bulbs, candles, jumper cables and checked the antifreeze level. I have had to check the tires and see if the threads are good enough for ice and snow. I have had to make sure the waterlines don't freeze, the windows had plastic on them and leaving the water running lightly. What things do you have to check when winter sets in?

I used to be more of a people pleaser than I am now. I found that some of my people pleasing didn't always please some people. It is better just for one to be themselves. Of course, that was even confusing for a while because sometimes I have mixed feelings on some things and not everything is black and white but can be gray in some cases.

That is a valid point. Validity can have something to do with confidence and arrogance. Like, James mentioned some women do like men who are confidant about themselves. What one might see as confidence in oneself others may see as arrogance. I think we can seek approval by others and judge ourselves depending how others may view us. I have heard it put this way, too. "I am not conceited I am convinced."

I did know this man who knew all the right things to say but then he was so fake and woman just bought it. I would think don't you know he is just stringing you along.

Thanks, James for replyig. You made several good points that I was contemplating. I especially like the part about both can be done simultaneously. I was give a compliment this morning by my peers and it kind of went to my head at first, lol. But then I have felt more confident in my job and I guess it does show. I think one of the reason was I have had less critics but then I have felt more self-assured. One of the replies I have had when I did have some false pride by women was, "prove it". I have took tests all my life and have felt like I have been tested all my life in one form or another. I like what you had to say.
