Church Signs

I was just wondering if anybody here read the signs on the churches when they are travelling. You know those banners with that make you think. I saw this one cool one that said, "Speed on brother. Hell isn't even half full, yet. "

RE: A proposal

Smile your parents chose not to abort. I saw that with a big smiley face on a church, yesterday in Bull Shoals, Arksasas on the way back from Mountain Home, Arkansas. I got a good deal on dollar dvds at Family Dollar. They had some good martial art movies. Does anybody else get into martial art movies. I especially like the Oriental ones with the English subtitling.

RE: 1-800-turn-you-in numbers, our government, and the people.

The continual new laws has always been a sore spot with me. How do you keep them from contradicting each other? What one person can know all of them? I think money is at the heart of many things even though they can be disguised as other things. Who can tell if justice is correct if justice is blind?

RE: SIN CITY

You got me curious now. How does stop and go traffic work in a red light district? tongue

RE: 1-800-turn-you-in numbers, our government, and the people.

Big brother is always watching. Good thread. I don't need any help in being paranoid, thank you.laugh

Twin Shadows
by RainbowSlider

We were shadow dancers on the wall
and we were together we stood tall.
Your hands were in mine for a time
but now the visions are lost in rhymes.

With locks out of place we disgraced
but determination everything we faced.
We had forever in all that knew to do
and its no wonder now I think of you.

Like fireflies we flickered out of sight
casting shadows on a moonlit night.
By a dawn yet to be born we flew
cascading through a twilight due.

We climbed the mountaintop of scorn
but with an earned grace we're adorned
to wake to a new adventure in the morn
perchance to a new life to be reborn-ed.

Gone are the dew drops this day of frost.
In bodies of indifference we are now lost.
Gone are the fresh roses that are done.
Yet, echoes of the reaper; "Tell no one".

A 'sense' of family

That seems like a good answer. I have a certain respect for them. I treat them with dignity but it does seem distant because I try to be professional. I guess I have more of a professional distance to them. Maybe, too much. I am not sure.

RE: What are you drinking now?

Lipton sweet tea.

RE: What's your favorite color?

I like all the colors but blue is my favorite and then yellow.

A 'sense' of family

That I can relate with. I think myself has experienced the childhood effect.

A 'sense' of family

The other aides told me that I should treat the residents like family. I must admit that the word has become alien to me. Seems like everyone there is married, pregnant or in some kind of relationship. Aftr being through some breakups like divorce and being widowed I guess I have lost touch on what family must mean. My mom said treat them like your mother or grandmother. It is funny to me since many of them act like children in their thinking. What does a 'sense' of family seem like to you?

Welcome back, Kim. I'll see you in the forums.

RE: What have you done today?

I got a call from my aunt Alice who wants me to drive to Marston, Missouri to come see her. She talks very fast on the phone. Mom says she sounds like she is on an old 45 record she talks so fast. laugh I am fixing to get ready for work. I watched an old Vincent Price movie today, "The house on haunted hill." I am hoping to get some more Vincent Price movies.

RE: TODAY I AM THE ONE REQUESTING YOUR PRAYERS

That would scare me. I pray that you will be taken care of.

RE: Private Lives....and....Public Lives

Wealth, fame, popularity and the adoration of your peers. What more can you ask for? If you will be a good little girls and study hard in school maybe you can enjoy the American Dream and be like Brittany Spears when you grow up.

RE: Private Lives....and....Public Lives

I hear you there. Consider George Washington's expense account. He itemized everything he used. He really didn't get a paycheck. It makes you wonder if the oath of office is merely a formality.

RE: I'll miss you

Will miss you, Cris. Just remember the door swings both ways.

RE: It's the journey that matters...

I haven't read the poem but I read the book called Riverworld. He has amnesia and is searching for his girlfriend and the girlfriend goes with him on the quest to find her. She tells all his friends not to tell him who she is. I thought it was a great book.

Whats up, doc.

RE: Happiness comes from within

Happy holidays. Kissing a snowman can give you cold lips but it is the thought that counts.

RE: Pass It On....A Kind Deed Goes A LOOOoooooooooooooooG Way

I got a Christmas card from the restaurant I get to go to once every two weeks when I get my paycheck. It was nice. I had a good conversation with the bell ringer at Walmart for the Salvation Army. Yeah, it is good to spread smiles and good cheer wherever you go. It is the little things in life that can mean so much like the box the toy came in can be so much fun.

RE: The Panther

I am an Aquarius. Give me a minute I am still thinking.

RE: Sad!

I was told cheer it up it could get worse and sure enough I cheered up and it got worse.
