I have had a need to be right. I work in the medical profession. I have copped attitudes while being trained but I can not afford to let that hinder me. I am learning how to adapt to the 2nd and 3rd dementia but last night encounter a 1st dementia. I thought she was 'normal' but found out she felt lost and disoriented. Black and white can be easier to detect than grey sometimes because they are opposites. Borderline cases are harder to detect.
After Queen Elizabeth reigns the throne is passed to King James. He fashioned a bible one might say. What did you think of his thought about the divinity of Kings?
My passion is ology. There are so many good ologies out there like theology, bilogy, oceanology, psychology, socialology. I can't make up my mond one which one so I have decided I just want to be a professional Ologist.
For me last night complicating the uncomplicated meant not to make my job any harder than it already is. Obediance is better than sacrifice or doing what I am supposed do is a good thing. Sometimes more is not better. K.I.S.S. is something I go by which means keep it simple stupid. Why complicate something which is simple? It means paying attention to what I am doing or what my dad used to call being meticulous by paying attention to detail and being aware of my surroundings which may include people places and things.
Every store and restaurant was shutdown this morning but one. Can you guess which one? I will give you a hint. It is a little yellow guy with a sword and a mask.
Interesting site. I like writing love poems. I have been in the process of letting people in. I have been through the initial hurting part. It has toughen me up but I don't want to go back to being indifferent. In my line of work at the nursing home it would be bad for me. One of the nurses last night was showing me how to be firm without being combative myself. The military has a term about using only necessary force. I have heard it called not using overkill. Seeing the residents as people instead as just means to an end is important to me. Some are ambulatory and can move on their own power. We rehabiltate as well as take care of. We try to encourage them to do as much as they can and try not to talk down to them. Some we have to communicate with them blinking once for yes and twice for no. One hurts no matter we do to turn her when she needs to turn so we try to be as careful as possible and do it as quickly as we can. My heart goes out to them even though I have to be professional about it. This one lady with lupus and multiple scherosis is very smart. I had met a multiple scherosis man before who like her has a twisted body who was the editor of the paper when I was going to Wichita State University. It is amazing how other senses and even body parts make up for the missing or affected areas of the human body. I have to handle each person different according to there ailment. I find the work to be fascinating.
RE: Burning Bridges....
I have tried not to burn bridges. I have had to recross bridges.
