Thank you Wooffy. In South Africa, as you may know, there are 11 official languages! I speak English. Although I learnt Afrikaans in school and used it in my younger life, I lost a lot of it living in KwaZulu Natal where its not spoken, Zulu being the 2nd language there. I speak what is called "kitchen Afrikaans"... the simple version.... almost a dialect. Now, learning German, which is similar to Afrikaans, I still have difficulty with the pronounciation of certain vowels and consonants.... they differ vastly from Afrikaans! And the "european" cold country languages here, they speak with an almost clenched jaw! In Africa we speak with wide open mouths!

Ooooh yes! Arabic music will be nice. A good change from the head-baning stuff.

For more atmosphere, I've brought in some red tasselled shades to cover the lights, and a few pewter wall sconces with flames. And some realy LARGE floor cushions for chilling out on.... found them at the dump in Abu Dhabi...... HD is using the purple one so dont sit on it if he is on it... he gets grumpy about sharing his bed.

I think today I will have an Irish Coffee, to warm me up... the weather is rather chillo outside, Siberian wind blowing....!

I have a tatoo on my arm ... 2 feathers with some beadwork and claws. My grandkids love it... and they cant quite understand why it doesnt wash off... like theirs do!

Opposite of Love?

Hi Freeze, No its not what you think. I been reading a very good book on the subject, and wanted to share the questions with you all.... I just thought it all quite thought provoking?

Like everything in Life has a Balance. So to balance, say Love, what do you put on the other side of the scale, the opposite emotion.
And the opposite emotion here is "Indifference". Just imagine what its like to have no emotion shown?... like you dont exist to your partner?... they dont care what you feeling?

Strange emotion hey? Once upon a time, for a good reason, I felt hate, but tried to deny it. Then one day it boiled out, and I admitted it to myself.... and then the hate went away. So maybe the cure for that feeling Spidermoose mentioned is to not try and act like its not there... admit, face it, and its cured? I realy felt better after admitting it to myself.

I think he is just SO Cute! Seriously though... you all got to admit he is a nice guy, very serious, very decent. Sometimes he has a sense of humour. And sometimes he acts very Strict, especially when it comes to cs members without photos! He has a strange way of writing, yet I believe we can all understand him?

.... and again... at the risk of being boring... the best advice I had on this one is..... "To keep your head above the rising cost of living... you gotta keep cutting down on your cost of living". Which means do not try and live up to other peoples standards... keep setting your own, and keep them low, dont get proud.

That advice came from a major financial house of investments.
