yup, I agree here... we all just got to be our natural selves. My experiences have been that if one puts on a "mask".. whatever it consists of.... sooner or later one has to take it off anyway.. and then the real person is revealed... so may as well just be the real person to begin with!

In addictive abusive relationships the good gets remembered.. thats why its a pattern hard to break.... they keep getting back together.
In a "normal" relationship.... unfortunately the bad is usually remembered.
Humans seem to have a problem with ending a mutually unsatisfactory relationship in a humane manner... and remembering the general tone of their feelings.... the happy, the sad, the sublime, and the ridiculous... all of it.

Ah .. c'mon Funoldie... just joking. We dont realy want you just for the plastic.... it helps, but its not ALL!

Ever seen a guy driving a Ferari? or a Porche? or a Maserati? how the females get drooling? Well, you see, its just the nesting instinct in us.... we thinking of how well he can provide for the next generation. No, its not greed. Its motherly.. REALY!

Who stops and puts a large denomination note in a beggars hat? A woman.. thats who. We can also feel sorry for a guy who doesnt have plastic! We wont marry him or have kids with him, cause thats against nature.... the kids have got to be fed... its that old CaveMan/Woman thing again!.... So don't feel bad about it. Just make sure you wearing Designer clothing the next time you go out!.. and you will have no problems with women.

Well, I tried going out with a guy a few years older than me... and kept being asked if he was my Dad ! So, then I went out with one of my "pests"...14yrs younger... and got some queer sort of looks. Some of envy, some of amusement, and some confused.
On enquiring if he was not embarassed... I could be his mother.... his reply? "Well you not my mother".
Sometimes I went out with my younger son of 30....when we were both at a loose end and wanted company.... had great fun, laughing and dancing.... and got the "Ho Ho Ho, you kidding" if I said he is my son! So, realy, in the end, who realy cares what people think? They will think what they want to think.

Well, I'm not a foreign girl. All the other people living here are foreigners. And technically I'm not even a girl, cause I too old for that title... so I'm a woman.
And what do I expect from my man? I would love to tell you.
I expect my man to be very Manly.
To have a good self-image.
To love what he does in his employment.
To earn LOTS and LOTS of money in that employment.
To be VERY generous with that money.
To buy me everything I need, want and desire.
To cook, do the dishes, the laundry, the housework, and enjoy it.
To insist we go out for long romantic dinners.
And then insist we go dancing... at different venues every week.
He must insist on buying me a new sporty car every year.
And insist that I choose our holiday venues.
Be a good masseur and insist on my daily massage.
Ditto with reflexology.
Insist I spend time having beauty treatments and pays for them.
Cant think of much else right now.... but will be happy with the above list.
PS.. this is only a "wish" list, not the Commandments... LOL !

Ah yes, the wonders of the modern world.... juslaaaik makes me feel old... to think they'd barely just invented that big black telephone with a crank handle when I was a little kid !!!!!!!!!and the lady who worked the switchboard of the village listened in to all the calls and knew everyones business!!!!!!
I remember a couple bank robbers being aprehended thru her intervention (and listening skills... LOL!)
Actually, we were all rooting for these particularly enventive bank robbers.... and then she spoiled the fun!

Yes darl, but I had to take them off so Beachcomber could use them to catch the fish cause he decided to clean out the fishtank, there was quite a bit of mud in there too from the other nights mud-slinging . . . . he promised me a new pair, but guess they will go the same way as my scooter! I seem to be donating half my possesions to that pub!

I think its fun.... Once upon a time, when I used to do this sort of thing when friends were desperate for a partner for a friend.... I met a most delightful man! and we stayed friends (long distance)for a long time.... then I went and ruined our friendship by getting married... to someone else!
A lot of them turn out real blinds.... and sometimes you get lucky.... nothing ventured... nothing gained.....

But you cant eat me, so I bet when you spot that funnel of a ship on the horizon, you gonna be racing up to the top of the signal hill to light that bonfire, screaming for help, jumping up and down waving your shirt and sending off flares..... and then when the ship just carries on sailing past.... you gonna go down on your knees and burst into great sobbing tears and begin tearing your knee-length hair out, and then pound the sand dunes and then scream with rage, and then go racing round the island in despair, seeking another funnel on another horizon...... I will be the last thing on your mind.
