My hair reaches just above the small of my back...Cat having such curly hair makes it difficult to cut short because the curls make me look like Orphan Annie if i don't get it right (plus the humidity!)

If you feel you're being shot down Kris its only by those who are afraid to take up the challenges as you did..and would now like to say "i told you so"...the journey of a million miles begins with the first step...
It took a lot of courage and determination to do what you did...and though they may not have worked out for you now...at some point, in some way it will!
I still say you are an inspiration to some of us that would like to "take a risk"...because we know it CAN be done...regardless of the outcome...it is empowering to take charge of your life...Ten years from now when some people are still sitting in front of their computers wondering "what if i had..."...you will know the answer because YOU DID!!
No love i'm not that bad...i just cannot stand to have anything not in its rightful place..and i certainly do not foist my habits off on anyone...they can do what is normal for them...I am the same in my workplace as well...i have to have everything neat and in order to be able to function there.... I know i'm not ready to be put away in some rubber room yet though, because the inside of my car is as if a bomb went off...and i have no idea why i have no particular desire to clean that!!
I have had this trouble myself..with my daughter..first i allowed the school to try to handle it...then the police..then i took it into my own hands..and now i have a written warning from the school/police...and all because i raised my voice at the other girl..who also happened to be 3 years older than my daughter...up until then i didn't know that if you "intimidate" a child (raised voice) you can be charged...well i told them they could take that letter and frame it for all i cared..they threatened to ban me from school property..i pay school taxes and as long as my children are in that school I WILL BE THERE...(i told them this).. You know what there are too many children out there whose parents don't care...if i don't champion my children..who will!! Would i do it again?..ABSOLUTELY!! I didn't buy those girls..i made them!!
