Curling.

Refer to page 42 of CS OLYMPICS -3 Thread for accompanying pics.

Curling. A heart pounding, nail biting, fast paced, action filled sport. Well, maybe not so fast paced, but it is a sport the leaves many of us scratching us heads.

Curling has its roots in medieval Scotland, involves a great deal of strategy and teamwork, brooms, and snappy fashion choices.

Your team marches onto the ice with brooms in hand and ready to sweep the competition away.

What will your team be wearing?

A) Traditional classic?

B) Unassuming?

C) Hunky beefcake?

D) Dazzle them with brillance?

E) American inspired polyester?

The Super G.

It's a foggy and overcast morning at the top of the mountain in Sochi. The Super G is about to begin - a downhill speed skiing event that requires intense concentration and razor sharp turns with wide set gates.

Each skier runs the course one at a time, and due to the unusual warmer temperatures in Sochi, the course conditions are unpredictable and several skiers wiped out during the practice runs yesterday.

Several injured skiers were helicoptered off the mountain and heard mumbling something about being distracted by a cow. The cow reports have thusfar been unsubstantiated.

What is your preference as to the order in which you will ski the Super G?

A) go first, and set the score to beat.
B) be in the middle and hope the course has been cleared of cows.
C) go last, knowing what the score is to beat

Ice Hockey.

It's a beautiful, crisp day in Sochi, Russia and your team is suited up and ready for a battle of the ice in Hockey. Never mind all of your missing teeth, bruises, and frequent black eyes. It's all worth it, for one of the most beloved winter sports across the globe.

You've skated onto the ice, taken your positions, the puck goes flying, and within seconds, you're body slammed into the wall by an opposing team member.

Well now, that wasn't very nice, was it?!

Not to mention that one of your freshly manicured nails is now chipped!

Your temper flares, you jab your slammer with your hockey stick, he elbows you in the ribs, and before you know it, you're in a brawl.

What is going to happen next?

A) Your teammates jump in, the opposing team jumps in, and it becomes an epic free for all. (The fans love this stuff!)
B) Your team stays out of it, and you go one on one with your slammer.
C) The referees manage to disentangle the two of you before you throw a punch. You are both banished to the penalty box, scowling and shaking a fist at one another.
D) You don't react at all to being body slammed. You're a lover, not a fighter. (Yeah, right! This is Ice Hockey!)

Figure Skating

All eyes are on you. This is your moment - the final ice figure skating competition of your life - your last chance at an Olympic medal. Cameras cover you from every angle.

You make sure that your skates are secure and that your costume covers everything it's supposed to cover, as the figure skating committee does not permit any do-overs at this stage of the competition.

You step onto the ice, glide out to the center, strike your pose, and the music begins. You glide left, you glide right, you do a few spins, with complete grace and agility. All seems to be going well.

You build up speed and leap into the air to perform a split jump.

But suddenly your bottom feels cold. The back seam of your costume has ripped and you have a serious wardrobe malfunction. Your bare bottom is completely exposed!

Do you:

A) Continue skating and complete your program.
B) Continue skating, but attempt to cover your exposed bottom with your hands for the remaining 3 minutes of the program.
C) Skate quickly off the ice, with red cheeks, both top and bottom.

cheering EVENT - Day 6 cheering

It's the middle of the night in Sochi, Russia. All is quiet in Olympic Village except for the sound of a hoot owl, a wolf's howl off in the distance, and the snoring of CS Olympic team members.

But wait! The quiet, peac night is being disturbed by the tip-toe footsteps of your team. Your team is up to no good ya shameful hooligans!

You sneak into the dining area where the morning breakfast is served. You sprinkle a very strong laxative powder into one other team's drinking cups. You know they won't yet be awake enough in the morning to notice the powdery substance in their drinks.

Alas, they will be spending the entire day, and most likely a good part of the night, in the loo.

They won't be gaining any points today due to their "change of plans".

Today you have a choice to make:

A) Gain 2 points by selecting which team will be spending their day in the loo.
B) or gain 0 points if you don't choose a team.

The team spending the day in the loo will earn 0 points today.

cheering Event - Day 5 cheering

Vladimir Putin is honored to welcome you to the Sochi Olympics. He has invited all of you to his Sochi residence for dinner this evening. Very exciting!

The evening begins with drinks and appetizers, and you finally take your seat around a table sparkling with the finest china, crystal, cutlery. Laid out before you is a sumptuous feast. Everything prepared is Russian cuisine.

The main dish served is Black Bear, a typical Russian dish. To refuse to eat what is served to you would be considered a great offense to your host, and may cause diplomatic tension between your country and Russia.

Do you:

A) Eat the entire portion.
B) Try one bite.
C) Risk offending Vladimir and not even trying the bear dish. You will be on the front page of the Russian Tabloids tomorrow with a scathing headline.

Alpine Ski Jump.

Honesty required. wink

You are at the top of the Alpine Ski Jump with your teammates cheering you on.

Your skis are fastened, your helmet secured, and your heart is racing from the adrenalin coursing through your body.

You are about to hurdle your body down an icy slope on only two skis, knowing that the course will abruptly end and your body will be catapulted through the air.

Do you:

A) Cling to your teammates and say, "I'm not insane. Let's go get a beer instead".
B) Slide on your derriere down the slope and stop at the edge.
C) Make it down the slope, but grab onto the edge at the last moment, and end up dangling, clinging on for dear life.
D) Tumble over the edge and end up in a crumpled, snow-covered heap in front of the judge.
E) Ski with grace and finesse down the slope, lift off with the greatest of ease, spot your landing with exact precision, while gliding past the judge with a wink.

cheering EVENT - Day 3 cheering

Your team is at the top of the mountain, warmed up, properly stretched, knuckles cracked, shoelaces tied, and raring to get the Team Bobsled competition going.

The buzzer sounds and you all grab onto the bobsled and begin to run like bats out of Hell.

But the track is extremely slippery today and one by one, you slip, fall, and lose your grib of the bobsled.

Yet miraculously, one member of your team has managed to jump into the bobsled, and is speeding down the icy course.

Which member of your team made it into the bobsled?
(You cannot vote for yourself)

How long will your entire team survive?

A) 1 week
B) 2-4 weeks
C) 1 to 3 months
D) More than 3 months
