RE: Susan Boyle.. Why are we shocked?

supply and demand. I love Susan Boyle. I find her adorable, cute, funny, and beautiful. I admire her for her singing as well as other character traits. Bless Her Heartheart wings

RE: Susan Boyle.. Why are we shocked?

The market for muic sales is for teenagers. That is why the Susan Boyle's of this world tend not to get record deals. The pop scene is about marketing not talent. How else would you explain Westlife or The Spice Girls.

RE: Susan Boyle.. Why are we shocked?

it's obvious; because we are obsessed with looks; how come teeny bopper blonds who cant' sing like Britney Spear, Hilary Duff, and Miley Cyrus can make millions touring. Because of their looks and image and popularity.

Why is it that you pay a ton of money for tickets to listen to people lipsync because they are not talented enough to sing in person. Looks

RE: Poetry.. Wordsmithing Your Way to Your Loved One's Heart

applause Poetry is wonderful:
when your heart speaks, poetry can help you convey your feelings without being intrusive. Just like these smileys are peace a perfect way to add to the sentiment of writing. What is writing any way but words...words are just alphabets and when we put it in a lyrical form it seems to open doors that was shut hoping to be opened. Flowers too are a way to communicate. So why not utilized them all? Why not indeed. Enjoy the worlds choices for living, and enjoy Christmas! Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas,

RE: Observe His Body Language for Signs He is Falling for You

Sure, but this could also mean that he wants to get down your pants, too. Ahhh, I'm such the pessimist when it comes to men, lol. applause

RE: Surprising Her with Dinner: Going Beyond Wieners & Beans

Fantastic ideas! Why not?!?!

Sounds great, and adds that little 'edge' of fun, and 'person-ability' to the mix.

God, we, well I can anyway, be sorely lacking in the novel romantic ideas department. All for a good suggestion, just lacking in the inspiration department as to how to shake it up.

Thanks for this. thumbs up

RE: Observe His Body Language for Signs He is Falling for You

Those MAY be a few signs....but, the REAL stuff is that he is calling you, asking you out, making time for you, and treats you with respect and love.

A man could initially be doing all the body language but his intention could be just a good ****!! doh

RE: Does Real Love exist??????

There are 'Givers" & there are "Takers." Takers always seek out Givers. They say love is blind. I say true love sees Everything but accepts the bad w/ the good. If you try to stay objective & unemotional when you first meet someone, you will begin to recognize the signs of a Taker… & then RUN, Forrest, RUN!

RE: No chemistry? How to let them down gently

Yes, we've all been on both sides of that street -- the 'Breaker' & the "Breakee.' But the Breakee shouldn't feel like a rejected, defective person, or that something is 'wrong' with them. One must just accept that not everyone you meet is going to fall in love with you, or that every relationship is going to last. The sooner relationships are seen from this perspective, the easier it is to move on after a break up.

It's easier if one realizes that is just the way it's going to be until you find the right one for you. Most times you look back and are GLAD you were dumped…

RE: The Danger in Dating a Control Freak

I found your article informative and very educational. However, it seems that you made an effort to say that the only "controlling" people in the world are men....and while men might be in the majority as to this trait, it's certainly not exclusive to the the male gender.

RE: My Explorations - Human Nature...as I see...(2)

i am not a pessimist...i too hope that things will come to a better place where people can live with more dignity upon the this earth that we share..
but sometimes its hard to be..possitive when you are hit with a barrage of negative things.

but as they say 'hope springs eternal' maybe all these issues will be anuled by the next generation..the generation that does not have vivid memories of conflict in their minds..
let us hope

RE: How do I find 'The One'... and when?

I just want to congratulate you on one of the most sensible articles I have ever come across regarding the subject matter....

Nowhere have I read before, such a concise and accurate viewpoint on actually looking from the INSIDE OUT and not from the OUTSIDE IN!!!!

RE: My Explorations - Human Nature...as I see...(2)

very heartfelt..i grant that ..and respect that.
but you take history at face value. which i dont approve of.
as it is chaos 'now', it was chaos 'then'.
the manifestations of state and nation that you decribe..i find it hard to see them as predestined or logical evolutions from a primitive state.

i agree with you final view on where we should go form here..it seems logical and just. but i dont think the prosess through which you came to that answer is quite right.

thereby the validity of the answer too is questioned.

i am undesided, and on this subject that effects a lot of people in their daily lives...i am only willing to express my doubhts.

a lot of people have dabbled in this feild (with good intentions) but with very bad results. IMO

but i value a voice in the dead silence.. :)

RE: Do You Want To Be On Reality TV?

A great article on the pitfalls of reality shows. I couldn't agree more - I'm often staggered by what unknowns will do & suffer through for fifteen minutes of fame, Big Brother contestants in particular. Some of the Australian housemates ended up with media work & others were so obnoxious that I think they've struggled just to be employed.

Most people who audition for these shows have such amazing self-confidence & yet perhaps, little self-insight. I guess they have a high opinion of themselves and just assume others will too. It's hard not to cringe when these people finally get negative feedback on how the public feel about them - & easy to wonder how you'd bounce back from it in their shoes.
