RE: Dating tips for Women: 3 Ways You’ll Know It's Time to Go

He Asks for Money All the Time

Unless you're engaged or married, a guy asking you for money is suspicious. Even when you are very serious, it is a cause for alarm because someone you are committed to should have his own resources. If your new boyfriend is hitting you up for cash it either means that he is financially unstable or he's just using you because he knows you have the money. This is not a love connection; it's a relationship of convenience — his convenience.

The above comment works in some but not all situations particularly when people are in completely different income streams and that occurs more than you may be aware. It's common knowledge between divorce lawyers that women believe that there money is solely theirs, never the mans. The exception to that rule is if your male you are expected to pay all the way - as much as you can financially handle. Other than seriously wealthy women, few if any, support spouses but when they do it's offered begrudgingly. In solid relationships money is not the issue because those people are beyond the superficiality of who paid for what. If equality is welcome then so be it - bravo, and if it's not then stay single, alone but happy with your money. Having seen this in others I find it destructive and sickening that an otherwise good relationship is laid to waste through money.

RE: Why Women Pick the Bad Guys.

Thank you so much for such a comprehensive representation of bad guys. It gave me a good laugh as well when I remembered my personal encounters with the macho men, the Alpha males and the likes. roll eyes
As shallow and superficial as they are, bad guys are always floating on the surface of social life. Go to any party, night club etc. and you'll spot them right away. They always keep themselves in the foreground. But they will never pull the wool over your eyes if you keep them open. They are so obvious. roll eyes

RE: What Does It Mean to Be Tolerant?... Has it changed?

For me tolerance means NOT resorting to personal insults and mockery when somebody questions your views, however forcefully that may be. If you put out your opinion then everybody has the right to question that opinion. If you don't want it questioned don't stick it out there. Some subjects will always generate heat and you should consider, are your beliefs strong enough, passionate enough, that you can respond to questioning of those beliefs without resorting to name-calling. Personally I think it is a waste of time because there will always be some who take personal affront to their views being questioned or who failing in their argument will change the subject by turning to personal attack.

RE: One Mans Food - another Mans Poison.........

applause We Are all different! And food as a topic can bring us closer to appreciating, understanding, and accepting our differences. Imagine a table set with ethnic foods brought by people from around the world! What a sight that would make as each person tries another's normal fare.

wine

Here in Costa Rica the locals love deep fried pork with all the fat attached, it's called Chicharrón. I have tried it in several regions and found the most edible came from the Guanacaste (Lake Areal area). It was deep fried in very hot oil and so was not heavily soaked with the oil and it had a decent amount of meat attached. In the region south of San Isidro the Chicharrón was cooked at a lower heat, had a thick glob of not totally cooked fat and was mostly inedible. My hosts loved it, and I had to set it side after sucking out the meat that was embedded in the fat.

confused

I started making fermented foods this year and love the results. Some think, for example, that Kimchi/Kim Chee is really gross, but, some I know have only read the ingredients and thought of it as rotting vegetables and fish. But, it is really very tasty.

Thanks for the article on food differences! May we all find a seat at the table and give something different a try! yay

RE: 10 Tips a Guy Doesn't Want to Date You

I suppose if you are not going in with eyes wide open, these are real issues... but... I have to say, being the upfront sort of woman that I am... the excessive use of the word Girl is a sure sign to women that men who use of the word girl are not going to be as respectful to women as you might wish. Not trying to be contrary just saying... girls are under the age of, what 12? Not the dating type. doh

Here's the generally "accepted" gender format:

girls - boys
gals - guys
women - men

Lots of peace and love to all of you peace

RE: The Danger of Being Dragged into a Crime by your Avatar (Romance Scammer and Cyber Criminal)

Why are there so many scammers on this particular dating site, or is this normal fare for all such sites? I can hardly believe how many fake people I have spoken to so far. And, yes, I am blocking and reporting them. Seems that there should be some way the owners of this site could stop them before engage with others, like checking their IP Address against where they say they live, or something.

RE: Nuclear Disarmament

Good information you have posted. It is important for people to know the full scope of the nuclear military industrial complex and to know the current situation. A few nuclear capable nations are currently pouring more money into nuclear arms development - call it proliferation and a violation of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty - and for what? It appears there is a gearing up for war and the nuclear energy industry is a partner in that venture (in the US the Dept of Energy is in cahoots with the Dept of Defense for fissile materials).

Currently, African nations are entertaining building more nuclear plants, which, by the way, are designed to smelt nuclear waste. A grand idea? Not when you realize that this means the smelted material will be recirculated into the market, yes, your next set of utensils may well be radioactive.

There is a movement to stop this ludicrous and overly expensive project which would require hiring outside technicians and support services since there is little manpower or infrastructure to create and operate nuclear power plants. Good luck to them, the lobbying forces are strong and have billions to lose if they can not keep building more nuc plants - they are very motivated, in other words. Too bad they did not take the path of alternative energy.

Will African nations help Russia violate the NNPT and put more radiation into our environs?
