Sometimes, Waiting and giving them time to complete their thoughts, hopefully
not rambling on too much and focusing on their words, ideas, and intent of the thoughts of the conversation. Can at times make you forget your valid point or maybe even a helpful suggestion.
But to address the artical I would say it's very valid advise. - thanks for that.

I don't usually get messages from scammers, but I come on here and look for them so I can report them. There are a lot of nice people here, and I do not want to see you being taken advantage of.

age these is but a number . I to am recently widowed . and a member of several other free dating sites . and there all the same . so much so I'm close to giving up. but i just get this feeling everyday there might be a message in the inbox . so I've got to look . i do have this feeling women think a man should do all the chasingwe are in the twenty twenties now not the sixteen hundreds . it takes two to make a relationship . pic or no pic there all just as bad . so may i suggest if you can find an active 2020 profile on here and you like it give it a go. I'm glad I opened "Connecting Singles" today. I do so every now and then to see what's happening. In doing so today I came across this article on Loneliness (never knew these stories were on here).I have been alone for many years now due to my many years of active alcoholism (am now 21 yrs. sober) that caused so many broken relationships (family+friends) that they became unrepairable.
During these sad times of the Covid-19 virus the "loneliness" is particularly deep. I have found myself stranded in a foreign country in isolation (am 70 yrs. of age) after coming here for a holiday. But.. to the point I wish to make. I look at TV all day and noticed a lot of elderly people in isolation missed more than anything to be able to give and receive "Hugs" from their family and friends.....and it suddenly struck me..."How lucky you are...just to have people in your life that wish to hug you".....It could be a lot worse .

I am alone . I like it tis way. People have been nuts and made my life hell.I did the marriage and children family thing , now it's my time for some peace in what little time I have left.
Any friends I have ever had ended up being nut so now I don't try to get to know no one. I stay to myself and have been so happy this way. Now I have been feeling lately like it would be nice to find a nice man . I don't hing this site is a great place to do that but I'll give it a try. I am alone but not been lonely but am starting to feel a little that way.

Had to take breaks from people before as everyone has that option. It seems that the right friends make the difference. Some are takers and some are givers.Some are passing the time of day and it reflexs in how much they put into the relationship.Good to have hobbies

Garnet, I have to agree with your photo comment, I see the same picture(s) on their profiles that's been there for the last 10/15 years, with no changes,Wonder if the scammers think people don't notice ' WE DO NOTICE '
One person can have about 40 profiles, you block one then they try to contact you with another profile, the pattern is easy to notice....

Its almost a 180 degree in belief systems. Young ladys learn after a few experiences realize older men...like their female counterparts are experienced, considerate...longer lasting..Sure the ...kids..recover quicker but whats to recover after 90 seconds of selfish panting?
Go by feelings...if they treat you well, act as they should, have fun!!! If not show them the door!!!!

I notice most of the people posting in this thread , are using scammer grammar.But that aside, lets answer your question.
A scammer is someone who says what they think you want to hear to give them what they want.
They are NOT open with their emotions (it is all a lie to get your money/bank account info)
They are NOT honest with you (they simply say what normally gets them your money/bank account info)
They are NOT complimentary in what they say (It is simply what normally gets them your money/bank account info).
Do you see the pattern yet?
And as a man who is health, wealthy (made my own money thank you very much) in good shape, and a lot of fun to be around... and not even 40 yet... I have found expressing my emotions like this does not get me a happy married life but instead emotionally traumatized/stunted proto chicks who want a live in butler/walking atm. (at least in the USA, I will probably go back to Europe to get some real women as non seem to exist state side anymore.)
But that is just my experience.

Marriage is a contract it's about commitment and it protects children legally . I like other women so I'd never want to hurt a woman by being with her cheating other half . If a man cheats on his wife he will cheat on you . If he cheats on his wife he doesn't respect her himself his marriage vows he's basically dishonest. All are traits that are undesirable in a man and equally as undesirable in a woman .cheats deserve each other but often they have a loyal loving partner who they disrespect . If you're in an unhappy marriage cheating won't fix it . Get out of your marriage first .Anyone can be tempted but a person with strength of character will not cheat Cheating hurts everyone especially the betrayed but also your children. Women who only date married men do so because they are psychologically damaged . Some women will go after a married man for his money his wealth she's usually much younger attractive and very few men can resist the younger and beautiful woman because it's hard wired into a man's DNA n matter what they pretend or say . As an older woman you're ever only 2nd choice h ed much prefer someone younger but he can't attract her cos he's not rich enough so you'll do . Cynical moi ??? Life lessons learned .

I think it is important to continue to communicate. rather than ignore, offer options that are possible. Completely ignoring anyone...including your own children.. will cause them to go elsewhere as soon as they can and getting them back in your life near impossible. Just hope that whomever they turn to, because you are ignoring them, is trustworthy. No need to give in to every little thing, but if you already have a full life your children will not have time to be unreasonably demanding for long.
