I died last night

This is not a joke.
While my spirit has carried on to inform you of what happened,
I was shot 3 times last night and died.

Last night I was organizing an event to be held in a hall that was rented.
There was a little chaos, as to what everyone was going to do,
when a man, who almost seemed to come out of nowhere,
drew a pistol from apparently a shoulder holster within his
sports coat and fired 3 rapid shots into my chest at close range.

In a desperate reaction I grabbed his arm and twisted it,
in a futile effort to hamper him from firing again,
with the hopes that my grip would at least impair
him from escaping before others could grab & overcome him.

However, my situation was now hopeless.
The energy within me was draining along with my blood and the ability
to pump it. Clearly, I was shot in the heart and was about to die.
I felt myself weaken and fall towards the floor. Everything went black.
I was dead.

.
.
.

Then, I woke up. wow The TV was on and there were fireworks.
Oh yeah. It was a repeat of Colbert's Russia week when they
celebrated their independence day.

Interesting, how the mind can weave reality with imagination to make a dream.

Mental health

Mental health is a topic we collectively need to take more seriously. We can't just write everyone off as crazy. No one asks to be depressed. Show empathy and compassion for those living with a mental health condition And ignoring your depressed friend or family member could lead to fatality. Being that I've seen many suffered severe depression for years, I feel that I can be one of the voices of the voiceless. Most people don’t realize that having they are having a problem or even understand the symptoms of depression. Talk openly about mental health, You can observe your negative thoughts without accepting them as truth or allowing them to dictate your actions. It is painful to hear that you are feeling so lonely and that you feel as though you don’t know what to do anymore. When we feel isolated and alone, we often turn against ourselves. You should never be too proud to ask for help, and should take what’s offered to you. I’ve found that holding in the pain, causes so many emotionally problems for yourself. Be courageous fight your insecurities, face the challenges try to expand your mind. At some point in your life, you may discover your true purpose in life. Ignore the scoffers and those that send you messages with full of ignorance,just block them from your sight,watch them disappear. .

Well, it's time for more surgery!!

I had a colonoscopy done about 2 weeks ago and the doctor found a polyp that looks more like a button. Because it's so weirdly shaped he couldn't snip it like the doctor operating usually can. Soooo, he's going to have to cut me open.

I got colon cancer 10 years ago and I had a large portion of the colon removed. This polyp will require the same thing because of it's size and the the new connection will require some work.

It appears all this time that the 3 earlier colonoscopys "found" nothing but it appears the other doctors didn't probe far enough. I am fortunate that the doctor, from blood tests and other tests, found it and he also says it is not cancer. WHEW!!!!

Anyway, I hope for some prayers from my friends here!! Thanks for your thoughts!

Have you noticed that, in this age of information and disinformation, you can find an article, video, statistic, "scientific review", chart, or blog to support any and all of your personal biases?

I would like to see critical thinking skills come back into vogue.

Questioning ones beliefs and biases is the only way one can truly break through self imposed limitations and fears.

Ancient wisdom has a philosophy that states, "watch your loyalties and your prejudices"

Any thing, including ideas that you attach to, have the potential to cause you suffering.


Best question in the world?


Why?

Why do I believe that?
Why do I need to cling to that thought?
Why do I have that fear?

Would you want your lungs to be given to a chain smoker or your liver to an alcoholic

After all if you have chosen to treat your body with respect and your organs are healthy enough to be considered suitable ...

Snoring - help

Most person in a relationship are convinced that it is just the other one who snores. You know how it goes. You poke the other one and they will roll over and stop snoring, or you have that conversation -

*sleepy voice* wha? why you poke me?
you're snoring
I doan snore. YOU snore
Whatever. Go back to sleep. And don't snore!
*grumbling tone* then doan POKE me


But sometimes that isn't an option. You can't get to them to poke them, but you are kept awake by the noise - in a hotel, on a long-distance flight, a noisy neighbour, a guest in your second bedroom, whatever - it can last a few minutes, or it can go on, and on, and on, and on ......

Or, in a way even worse, you're the one who slept like a baby, everyone else (in the hotel, on the flight, in your spare room) is looking exhausted uh oh
