Naturally aspirated...

I go through phases of reading car reviews and watching YouTube videos. Although I bought a new car earlier this year, I'm already looking to see what my next car will be in a few years from now.
I'm happy with the size and performance of my Mazda M3 as it's got a 2.5 liter engine. The three previous cars were 2.0, 1.6 and 1.2 dating back 20 years, so this Mazda is a poor man's performance vehicle!
I was explaining to a friend, it's actually changed my personality as I can now pass a car on a 2-lane road and not worry about lag in acceleration.

Listening to a few YouTube videos about my model, some reviews were about the turbo engine that's available on the more expensive cars. I test drove a turbo on a Hyundai and didn't like the delay driving in the city. The salesman stated it 'kicks in' nicely at highway speeds. Thanks, but not interested was my response.

While listening to videos, many were talking about naturally aspirated models. WTF is that I said... I've been driving cars around 55 years and had to look up naturally aspirated.
Oh, I get it. A naturally aspirated engine is one that's non-turbo. Well duh! I suppose all engines were naturally... naturally aspirated prior to the invention of superchargers and turbo power boosters.

Making plans for my second trip to the US (part 1)

I know I am very early with this, but in October 2025, I will head back across the pond to the USA for my second trip there. This time, I am visiting a friend in New York, and now I know how much money I need to bring. The last time, I brought about $1300 with me - and I was left with $600 when I was home again. I didn't go completely wild with shopping, because i had no real sense of how expensive or cheap the US would be, but now I know. The next time I go, I am gonna spend a LOT more money than I did the first time around.

First, I need to find the price of the flight. I did economy the first time, and it was fine. I am thinking of doing the same thing again. I get there the same time as the other people, and we're on the same aircraft. Honestly, the only thing that's different is the food, and airline food is definitely bad. The food I god on my way to the US back in May was great. Chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The food back... Well, that was awful. I didn't finish that.

I still have quite a while to go before my trip to the US, and before that, I have a trip to Italy planned. I just need to confirm with my friend where she wants to go, and when we're going to leave. I know it's gonna be a week, so we'll see where we end up.

But for now - my next USA adventure is being planned!

Feminism has wrecked homes, families...and now the planet.

The very nature of feminism...being independent and s*xual revolution is now wrecking the planet.

How so?

Now the same family that live in one house years ago, now need 2. (double the resources being used)

The same with vehicles need.

The same with electricity being used.

Houses need to be heated.

All those extra fossil fuels being used....all that extra pollution.

But of course, we know it is all the man's fault...right feminists?

...all that abuse.

Better yet, what about if we refuse to believe it...it just want be a reality then.

thumbs up

Keep up the good work.

Of course, this is just meant to be some comedy...hope we all get a good laugh from it.

It's almost New Years Eve, and I have mixed feelings about fireworks

Earlier today, something dawned on me!

It's almost 2024!

Well, when I say almost, I mean in exactly two months. Soon, it's Christmas, and one week after that, we're having a New Years celebration.

I, as usual, am not doing anything other than play video games all day long, because I don't really have a desire to attend New Years Eve parties. I would much rather stay home, eat some good food and play some video games or watch movies. Last NYE, I did exactly that, and it was fantastic. I can go to bed whenever I want to - I am not forcing myself to stay awake because someone might find me boring if I go to bed at 1 am.

New Years Eve brings out the topic of fireworks, and why I think it's troubling.

The whole concept of fireworks in private hands boggles my mind. Who in their right mind went "Ah yes, for one evening a year, regular people are allowed to get blindingly drunk while handling explosives.."? Because that's exactly what is happening: People getting drunk while handling small bombs.

If it was up to me, fireworks should be banned from private hands, unless they have a fireworks license or an explosives certification. Also, every time I see something shoot up into the sky and blow up, all I can think is "There goes 500 kroner. There goes 200 kroner.."..

Here's a thought that I share with a few others: Fireworks is a waste of money. You might as well just set fire to your money. Back in 2021, there was a story about some guy who spent 24 grand on fireworks, about $3388, because he thought it was nice.. Back in 2021, they estimated that the Danes spent 450 million kroner on fireworks. 450 million.. That's the equivalent of $63.4 million. If we divide 450 million with 5.8 million, which was the population back in 2021, on average, each Dane spent 77.5 million kroner on fireworks that year, or about $10 million - each.

Surely that money could be spent better somewhere else..

In whatever way you turn there is no solution without God

Those that think living without God is good, they are deceiving themselves and misleading so,evil deceives them.
There is Good and there is evil.Good comes from God, evil comes from devil.
Those that think to do bad ,who make them do bad? is from devil.
Those that think is no God or do against God is from devil because devil is rebelled against God and so you who don,t believe God or do against God or do sin or do bad...,it mean devil has deceived you and rebelled against God.you may say how? well, what ever bad comes from devil.
So there is no solution but suffers without God.
So in this life is chance to come to believe in God and obey God so to get saved and live with God.
People living with God makes them happy .
Living without God is the door to devil.devil is all evil and destruction,he comes to steal, kill and destroy.
God comes to give life, peace and happiness.
So don,t lose time, read bible, new testament first and then old testament to get knowledge about God
and so to believe and obey God to get saved from sin and from evil.
simply:one thing to start to believe and obey God is: two greatest commandments: 1. Love God
with all heart..., 2.love your neighbours (all people) as yourself.
doing this lead you to eternal life living with God and so to get saved.
pray what you need, in spirit and truth and God will give you.
So think good and not bad and so believing and obeying truth of God will progress you.
and so repent of your sins and improve and God will forgive your sin and save you.
So with God there is solution for you, without God is no solution.
God bless.

Bootgate: How tall is Ron DeSantis...

I'm calling it Bootgate and you can quote me on that! Soon to go viral, people are wondering how tall Florida Governor Ron DeSantis really is. He's out on the campaign trail with hopes to be the 'chosen one' for the Republican party at the 2024 election. A man who's body shape and stature being shorter... he played baseball, so there should be some statistics on that. I think some stories claim he's are around 5'-7" or 5'-8" but mister 'boots' may be hiding something inside... lifts to make him taller. But, how much taller?

I've read that DeSantis has claimed he's 5'-11" and that would mean the lifts would bring him up at least 3 inches. Why the suspicion? One photo showed the toes of his boots are flattened... as if his toes aren't there. 3" lifts would do that as his heels get propped up, his toes wouldn't reach the front of his boots. Simple geometry.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
