(*) this is not my experience, ( long ballad)! Poor man's life. . ; It has poor ryhming and meter in places ; I'll stop trying to fix myself, And step into a brand new life . O Jesus, I messed up very badly, Can you help me in a new start, Can you forgive a real sinner , Im sorry for all the wrong i've done , Wash me with your forgiveness, I'll try to walk a better path , Be the man I ought to be , Read your Word for direction, And live in Your Liberty . this is the finish.

Welcome To New CS Poets

There has been a lot of activity recently here on Poetry Corner. Several of the more senior poets seem to have taken a break. Let's hope they return soon. In the meantime, several new poets have appeared. This piece is a welcome to them. Poetry is larger than any individual or group of indivduals. The show must go on. I invite all poets, including the new, to post their views on Poetry Corner. We can all benefit from each others' views. Thanks!

Vazha-Pshavela (26 July 1861 – 10 July 1915) is a pen name of the Georgian poet and writer Luka Razikashvili, one of the best representatives of Georgian literature. "Vazha-Pshavela" literally means "a son from Pshavi" (a mountain district) in Georgian. This is just a humble translation of the poem from Georgian for your pleasure, dear poets.

THE PALE BLUE DOT

THE PALE BLUE DOT

I have used Carl Sagan's Pale Blue dot speech as Inspiration, Carl's inspiration was ""....an image taken, at Sagan's suggestion, by Voyager 1 on February 14, 1990. As the spacecraft left our planetary neighborhood for the fringes of the solar system, engineers turned it around for one last look at its home planet. Voyager 1 was about 6.4 billion kilometers (4 billion miles) away, and approximately 32 degrees above the ecliptic plane, when it captured this portrait of our world. Caught in the center of scattered light rays (a result of taking the picture so close to the Sun), Earth appears as a tiny point of light, a crescent only 0.12 pixel in size."" (Source- http://www.planetary.org/explore/space-topics/earth/pale-blue-dot.html?referrer=https://www.google.co.uk/?referrer=http://www.planetary.org/explore/space-topics/earth/pale-blue-dot.html) , where ever possible I have used his words and shuffled them a bit and added a line here and there , to make the whole thing scan a bit better as a poem. I have taken a few liberties in places , but I acknowledge that freely, So I dedicate this Poem to the memory of the Late great Carl Sagan
