By the way, on the MAPS OF OBESITY which is provided by Google, it shows all strong corelation of poverty stricken countries where this is not Z problem.
And to support your false perceptions as evidenced by the document in the said study, only the advanced and wealthy countries are the ones burdened by it.
So if you don’t accept my opinion that is your problem.
Now on the original thread, I made it as a constant and rapidly growing concern in my country. Obesity and US Debt.

now Drago perhaps you can explain from this map how only the poverty stricken countries don't have any concerns on OBESITY?
FALSE STATEMENTS AS YOU CLAIM ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY EVIDENCE. Google it if this wouldn't upload the map. Go and read it and see how you can correct your thinking based on facts?
Although Obs, already answered very succinctly your contradicting statement per the presentation of many studies regarding countries. However for purposes of clarification if you isolate US alone, yes it is not an exception. There's already an study and I will upload it that this is not exclusive downside of the rich. Rather convenience and laziness on the poor. Mostly accorded by fast food restaurants and couple it with people's tendencies they patronize these unhealthy foods served so conveniently and cheaply.

Dragos thank you so much for this VALUABLE INFORMAION. Although no, I didn't start the topic arriving at this direction. If you read my first entries I prequalified that, they are the only constant subjects that are rising at almost the same speed. (Pioneer Press, opinion page,3/12/15).
Isabella I of Castille (Madrigal de las Altas Torres, 22 April 1451-Medina del Campo, 26 November 1504) was Queen of Castille. She was married to Ferdinand II of Aragon. Their marriage became the basis for the political unification of Spain under their grandson, Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. After a struggle to claim her right to the throne, she reorganized the governmental system, brought the crime rate to the lowest it had been in years, and unburdened the kingdom of the enormous debt her brother had left behind. Her reforms and those she made with her husband had an influence that extended well beyond the borders of their united kingdoms. Isabella and Ferdinand are known for completing the Reconquista, ordering conversion or exile of their Muslim and Jewish subjects in the Spanish Inquisition, and for supporting and financing Christopher Columbus's 1492 voyage that led to the opening of the New World. In most instances, she was more influential than her husband. Isabella was granted the title Servant of God by the Catholic Church in 1974.
Am I for Real?
Don Pepperoni, it is very obvious you have a very low regard to women. As you opened your superior mouth on this question...did you forget where you are? Or do I have to refresh your memory if you have any sense of historical value accorded to your country at all?
Had it not been for the Queen Of Spain, the famous Isabella, the world would have never started COLONIZATION...or for a better definition, it was through her advance way of thinking that started the discovery of the new world.
She has done so much that none of the wimpy Kings have done during her time. And you are asking me if I were for real?
Need I say more?
Now if you have anything against women as leader, I can't imagine how limited is your knowledge on the accomplishments of these aforementioned leaders or you din't even bother reading the first part of the thread?
Are you from Spain? And have you any loyalty to the leadership your country has done in the hands of a woman?
Or do I need to educate and emphasize more for your enlightenment?
I did agree with you Obs and it's true. I am hoping that there'd be a research to isolate all the factors that can work to fix them.
Yes now smoking is completely banned in most of the US.
I am thinking it just might be the way to do it.
Force them into changing their bad habits.
On another note, would you believe in the state of Florida there's a patient who was 400 pounds, got hurt from a broken chair and of course won. Guess what the government enforced the use of heavy accommodating gadgets like gurney, chairs, wider doors, etc. Like patronizing them to be fat at the expense of us the tax payers.
On the contrary it was researched that most of the majority who are victims of fast foods are generally those on the system who opt for cheap fast food.
But since we're number one in the leading country of obese people and the welfare recipient number is about one third of the population, then wealth should not be a strong factor.
US Debt and Obesity
Reb I think more like trying to position itself against us.
