favorite or least like leader

In your country, who's your favorite leader? And who you like the least?

Why? What have they done to be good or bad?

We all call them differently, yet their roles are pretty much the same.

In my country, we call him president.

Note: I was watching, Nixon movie tonight and figured he's one of the most misunderstood leader in my country.

Finally

Well friends ladies and gentlemen, we've reached the point of no return.

The F22 was fired for the first time today.

With the exception of Paul Rand, it seems the country favors the war.

Question is who's really is it? I mean who's war is it? Meantime, the UN caucus is going on today, much like when it was done in Geneva during the 2nd World War.

Thanks all for your reads and comments.

life and our choices

Life for the most part is unpredictable. Somehow no matter how much we want to control our path that brings us fulfillment, we're subdued with mountanous struggles,  incredible challenges and sometimes it is easier to give up than being strong and continue our journey no matter the difficulty we have to hurdle. Yes life is not easy, but even more so when we live around evil minded people and we're left with not much choice in our hands.

All of us are born differently.  We're never made of the same resilience or strength.  Some of us are strong while others are weak.  Some have the capacity to persevere while others are frail.  And so on and on.

Yet the most common denominator human being has is the ability to learn.  Eventually to adapt and change.  Change in the hope of utilizing our development to be good to ourselves and hopefully to all mankind.

Anything short of this is  ignorant if not just plain evil.  Irresponsible and inhuman.  Egotistical conduct in life is a direct defiance to achieving a compassionate and respectful relationship with our fellow human beings.

My question to all of us is:  why do we choose to injure and harm others as though we've never evolved successfully towards the end of a civilized existence? (As in purpose).

Has religion got to do with it?  Or culture?  Or pride? Can we brainstorm on this without being sarcastic but use our minds as though PEACE AND UNITY OF ALL MANKIND DEPEND ON IT?

Or is it really that much more fun to be evil and be obnoxious to others?

Is killing truly an act that generates and end only the killer can understand? For what?  Anyone?

Thanks all for your reads. Contributions and opinions are always appreciated.

finally, the much needed rain

I almost forgot I'm home. Well, my second home. Since living in the past 90 days in beautiful and bountiful Minnesota (only 6 million people with the size of California and pressing at a minimum wage of $15 bucks an hour, will make the highest in the nation), I've been greeted by the most needed rain. What a blessing indeed as this is one of the worst season when it comes to lacking of rain.

So many are blaming it on the global warming. I don't know whether it's truly the case or the government is just throwing a reason to justify the 7 billion dollars expense every year. Anyways, whatever, it feels so good to be rained at, but when I think of it, I'll be flying back to my second home, the land of 10 thousand lakes, where the record of rain happened this year.

I just wanted to thank God for this needed water as southern California is truly helpless without our help from the north. Then again, the news said, out of the 12 million illegal immigrants, about three quarters are concentrated there. No wonder, the supply of water is getting really out of hand.

I am just happy and hope more will follow.
Maybe we should have a rain dance, I told my children and they all laughed.

Have a nice day or night fellow bloggers and perhaps if you have abundance of rain in your place, do send some over, will you?

That is if you are not in the same predicament. Then again, perhaps it's truly a global warming case. What do you think, fellow citizens of the world?

Note: Our first rain of the year.

SIDE OF THE OPPRESSOR

There are always two sides in every conflict. Either you agree or don't. But outside of the actions, there's actually the middle ground. Our stand to be be neither of the two. This is in reality, the most dangerous side as it requires us to do nothing. The neutral side. The side that seems to be the easiest. The side which quoting Desmond Tutu, he emphasized by saying that: "taking neutral side, you're actually supporting the oppressor."

Looking at the escalating conflict between the free world and the state of Islam, who's truly the oppressor?

On my flight back to San Francisco, my residence for the last 35 years, I happened to have the opportunity of seating next to a very prominent politician (begged me not to identify him on my writings, as his assignments are extensively focused on the ISIS, conflict.) A most sensitive area of discussion at the moment and those that are very repetitive news that feed us of from papers, radio and televisions are but an illusion.

His point of view which I don't personally 100 percent concur. But felt obliged to agree, if only to milk some substantial and factual prime information as my mind was very much an ocean of delusional and confusing stand lately. Part of me wants to give these bozos the ultimatum, yet my humanitarian me, wants to just secure peace by leaving them alone. Either side calls for a disastrous end.

They are both evils, but which one is a better one? Which one is cheaper to indulge with that can affect lesser lost of lives? Which one is financially less crippling? My mind just wants to go on and on. In between, I managed to simplify my commitment to dig deep without trying to make him feel compromised.

So I probed his thinking out of subtle questions which I maneuvered, as we seem to have become very personally connected, not only due to his line of work but that we both had been teaching the same subjects in the university. He used to teach master's degree students in some of the best universities in the nation while I only did it in college level but by academic curriculum, we shared the same passion. He dumped this call to be an analyst of this field and his influence of decisions lead to the execution of his plan from his quantitative report. The other minor reason why he took this job is because of his desire to be first hand on the information that are otherwise limited to the general public as "Need to know basis."

So my first coyly expressed probe was: "So forget all about who is who, in your personal account, not under the merits of liberalism and or loyalty, are we at war? And he said: "Yes".

I followed without a pause and snapped: "Why don't we just be neutral and leave them alone? "

He responded just as fast by saying: "Taking that path like Desmond Tutu said, is siding with the oppressor". He continued by claiming that an intensive occupational hazard, which absolve bearing for the call of personalized opinions. He's inclined to believe that when you're in the first hand basis of executive decisions relative to these activities, your mentality is never coming from deep inside of your private analysis. You as a person don't exist, you become highly charged and conditioned on the convictions of whom you work for. He's a Democrat so etched on the clutch of liberalism. Therefore to directly engage in a war is a result of a very critical study and economical as well as humanitarian oriented outcome.

I then realized that the principles of being a bystander and not taking a side of action is indeed, like allowing the bullied to be left rotten and die. Not because of weakness but of injustice. A most compelling arrogance accorded to the agressors.
Now we all know, why a united efforts of the world must come together for the preservation of humanity and live under the principles of a Free World.

Time Spent On The INTERNET

I have to admit, our lives had been dramatically changed due to the effect of the Internet. Where's in the old days information were not as accessible and easy as today, yet for the same token, time spent is worse than it used to be.

Not that it's bad, it's just that when I needed answers for questions that I am ignorant of, I'd have to go to the library. Now just Google it, and voila, it's right there instantaneous. After that, you stay a little longer for some reading you fancy. Then you borrow some books to read more at home. Today what a change, the only thing is that of course, there are endless questions that I need to find answers and I know, I'm spending more time now on the net than anywhere. Not to mention blogging and communicating with friends.

I'm not complaining, it's so nice but sometimes my relationship with my friends and family in the Real World is negatively affected. On the one hand, there's Skype that makes communication around the world is so much more convenient.

The world is getting smaller, knowledge and learning is easier and cheaper but is life better?

Thanks for reading and your inputs are highly appreciated.

IS WAR IN THE MAKING?

Speaking of political correctness, is there an established world protocol in meddling global crisis? When does a country needed to act on behalf of whom?

History points out very clearly that interests vested from a country to another holds most the cohesive and collective purpose to stand against whom that threatens that interest.

WW2, was an example albeit more for the dominance of ideological entity between communism and democratic principles. (Axis versus Allied). This major global event that reshaped the demographic as well as political face of our world was originally thought to have been a continuation of the unfinished business of the First World War, but looking at it from outside of the box, as lucid as the clear skies, it was directed to the test of whom holds the most sophisticated ammunition to control the world. We now know how it ended.

The world today is facing yet another skirmish that might either change our lives as we know it, or perhaps even worse, can completely erase our one and only planet on this vast universe.

Reading the news today with the US leading the super economic power in the world per GDP with 14.5 trillion, followed by China with 5.5, Japan with 3.3, France with 2.6, UK with 2.2, and Italy with 2.1. (Read Google as the top 12)
From this chart we can spot who's most likely to be the contenders of aggression. Four of the last war's protagonist are, again still on the top with the addition of China. Yet in the past months, Russia had exhibited it's arrogance by its actions against Ukraine. A possible trigger to manifest what you and I, the ordinary peaceful human being to not want to happen.

In most cases, conflict doesn't matter who or where it starts. Like a group of kids being bullied out by the arrogance of the aggressors, it matters who will join in when it begins. I am amazed at how we're so focused on the conflict in the Middle East when in fact, it just might start now, in Asia, or why did Obama signed up for the reinforcement of military strength in Philippines recently?

Is war in the making? Who would most likely to join who? Why?

Difference between men and women on expressing

ANGER

I was reading all the effects of negative emotions that can truly impact our lives and realized a very strong difference between all of us on expressing and or handling this trait.

But even more so between the male and the female species.

While anger is a very important part of our lives, provided it is done in a healthy way for the right time and for the right reasons, it truly can hurt our relationship if it is out of control. Anger management has become a very effective tool in family services offered to Californians, a part of the family restoration programs.

We get angry for so many reasons, there's no way around it. We're human beings, and part of our lives is beset with many things that, believe it or not, requires us to be angry.

Question: When do we need to get angry and how do we handle it?

What are the things you do when it happens? Perhaps an example would be nice specially if a positive result was achieved.

Thanks for all your participation and contributions.

LIFE AND IT'S FRAGILITY OF IT ALL

Right by the doorstep of our lives, comes destruction not from the doings of man but from the unquestionable force of nature.

I was startled by the news that woke me up. A 6.0 earthquake registered on the Richter scale hit the heart of the WINE CAPITAL of the world. My hometown for the last 35 years.

The point of my blog is that here we are, with the majority of the super powers of our planet busy scheming for the elimination of mankind when in fact NATURE, in itself can do that in a split second. The worse part is whether we like it or not, there's nothing we can do.
When typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines in October of last year, 15,000 people perished, and many major Natural catastrophe have happened that cost man so much strife and destruction.

Now look at us, why can't we just use all our efforts to better our lives and leave nature to do its job of destroying us?

Thanks for reading, and I'd ask all of us who are interested to contribute or talk about any natural disasters that you are aware of whether involved directly or read about it. Is there anything we can learn from it?

Thanks for reading and commenting.

BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY

I swore when I retired, I quit politics.

Well, I guess I was wrong. The more we have time in our hands, the more we're involved specially if people are killed like chicken, just to show the world who's truly got the guts.

People of about 210,000 perished in Syria, James Foley executed, a black criminal shot by a white officer and the same old issue of racism hits the roof.

Let's not forget, HIV and SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED diseases are on the rise.

Watching news has not gotten this bad.

Will it ever end? I think man will never learn.

Interesting note Glenn Beck, threw this statement: If the Muslims had the same power as the US? Would there be any of us alive? The show followed how as young as 5 years old, are taught in school to hate and kill all Americans?

I'm so sad as to what we, humans, have become.

What about you? Any ideas how we can change for preservation of mankind?

More need for negative elixir? Watch the movie CLEAN SKIN.

In the meantime I'm going to listen to my music and enjoy my peace. A very expensive commodity, PEACE.

Thanks for all your reads and have a nice weekend. I'll go watch SIN CITY.

Intellectualizing our life (LOVE)

Judgmental attitude are sometimes born out of experience that may have negatively affected our lives in the past.

No wonder, wisdom is only achieved during the proximity of adulthood. No matter how much knowledge we wish to possess, it only takes place after numerous blunders we've encountered.

Generally our journey in life involves pretty much the unavoidable encounters of emotional as well as intellectual tendencies, the latter, a product of our focus and drive, inspired by the movement of erudite beings, we either personally encounter or read. The former is a gift and its proportioned to us without a platter of choices. But increasingly and progressively affected by our experiences.

In love, most of our calling is not determined out of intellectual bearing. Rather it is a result of a chemistry evolving from natural attractions. Love is born and we sometimes can't rationalize why we love whom our hearts fall for.

Some do fall in love and either end it due to lack of monetary benefits to be amassed in such a union. Very brutal, brusque and cold. Calculating and heartless. But the practice of intellectualizing our emotions are far fetched in today's economic needs. Some if not most unions today are steered towards transparent financial windfall. Anna Nicole Smith did it.

I find it sad that our feelings when it comes to love is no longer heeded and have become a master of our economic fulfillment.

My question is, should we kill our love, using our reasons just because the one for whom our hearts beat is poor and ordinary?

My answer is: HELL NO!

What is yours?

Note: Wouldn't have been nice if the one we love has all that we dreamed of? Money, looks and all the positive attitude in life?

BOREDOM AND LONELINESS, MOST POTENT WHEN ALONE?

Flooded with so many questions on my mind, life altering decisions are of immediate need to be made. Postponing it will only make it difficult but my problem at the moment is not knowing what to do first.

This decision that I will make will definitely impact my life in terms of economic and personal arrangement in the future. I have to be very careful, I have to exercise caution. I can't afford to make a mistake. Time and youth is no longer at my side so precision is a matter of great value.

Lately, I have been acting on impulses and while the adventure led me to a wild and interesting life, it cost me so much pain and sorrow. I know for a fact that we avoid the road of these negative traits if we can and do anything to make us happy. Or at least we think can make us happy. Spontaneous and unplanned courses of our actions eventually lead us to a deep boredom and loneliness.

Thinking of my past, I can't ever remember anytime when I was lonely and bored at the same time. My life was always full of activities that provided not only happiness but fulfillment. I had a very rewarding career and a family that was so loving.
When financial and economic blunders happened, my life dove to an abyss. So deep and so dark, I thought I would never see the glimmer of sun again. I did. But now, whenever I make a decision, it takes a long process with the hope that blunders are not repeated.

Today I am overcome with boredom and loneliness, and, I wonder if being alone has anything to do with it.

Thanks for all your reads and comments.
