finally, the much needed rain

I almost forgot I'm home. Well, my second home. Since living in the past 90 days in beautiful and bountiful Minnesota (only 6 million people with the size of California and pressing at a minimum wage of $15 bucks an hour, will make the highest in the nation), I've been greeted by the most needed rain. What a blessing indeed as this is one of the worst season when it comes to lacking of rain.

So many are blaming it on the global warming. I don't know whether it's truly the case or the government is just throwing a reason to justify the 7 billion dollars expense every year. Anyways, whatever, it feels so good to be rained at, but when I think of it, I'll be flying back to my second home, the land of 10 thousand lakes, where the record of rain happened this year.

I just wanted to thank God for this needed water as southern California is truly helpless without our help from the north. Then again, the news said, out of the 12 million illegal immigrants, about three quarters are concentrated there. No wonder, the supply of water is getting really out of hand.

I am just happy and hope more will follow.
Maybe we should have a rain dance, I told my children and they all laughed.

Have a nice day or night fellow bloggers and perhaps if you have abundance of rain in your place, do send some over, will you?

That is if you are not in the same predicament. Then again, perhaps it's truly a global warming case. What do you think, fellow citizens of the world?

Note: Our first rain of the year.

Thanks for your reads and participation.

global warming???Thats a lot of bunk!!!!....every Ice Age last 100,000 years...and during that period theres a warm up period of 10,000 years...we are within the warm up period...thats all...detective
That's what I thought Nam. And also, the other parts of the world is never have any problem. Well I most agree with you.
Ito, I'm guessing it's a cycle but I doubt that there's going to be another ice age, though.

SR, I heard recently about record heat average temperatures being recorded this here in the US. But, as far as MI was concerned, it was a very wet, cold, and short summer. I heard there are predictions for this winter to be as cold as last year's.

Not sure what to address to...but it is out of the norm.

Hope you are doing well.

this *year in the US.
LIndsey...In order to get to another Ice Age...you must have a warmup period..where it melts the glaciers and ice bergs ...then all that fresh water shuts down the 18000 mile conveyor belt that runs across the oceans>Because the conveyor belt dips to the bottom of the ocean at Ice land..and when theres too much fresh water in the belt(fresh water doesnt sink)it all shuts down....which brings on an ice age....which we are heading for eventually........detective
Same thing with MN Johnny. Record water on rain and flooding. Very short summer and also predicted that it'd be the same this year. Brrrr. Maybe I should stay in my state for the winter but I'm afraid my fiancee wouldn't let me.
Thanks Johnny

I'll send some over. Got lots of them lately over here. grin

I just love it when it rains.. smitten smitten smitten

Too bad that my special someone is thousand of miles away otherwise I'd have snuggle or cuddle up to him for that extra warmth and comfort! love love love
I haven't a clue how it works Nam but I believe you. So should we stop the propaganda of the government about such a false information then?
Spend that money on more pressing concerns?
Mimi my friend, from where is he? And yes my fiancee promised to keep me REALLLLY warm, so I'll see about that. I'm always cold Mimi. I wear sweater even in Hawaii and my children are laughing.

Send some rain over, then Mimi. Thanks
giggle giggle giggle

I'll let you take a wild guess Lindsy

His country his famous for its beer, waffles, chocolates, diamonds??
Thanks British, yes, it's quite nice and it's just a bit of inconvenience because all my four children live in California but my fiancee is in Minnesota so it's like flying back and forth.

And I believe there's no such thing as because yes, it's not like the whole world. Like Nam said, and your story confirms the absence of such a state.
Anyways, do share us your rain from your place, will you?
Hmnnn Mimi, what about Brussels?

Then again, diamonds are in London because of the De beers.

Common my friend, I'm not good at guessing, you know?
Mimi is that a cake? Hmnnn, feel like scooping big Mimi, my weakness. .

And what's his name Mimi? Is he with us from our community? Congratulations my friend.
Hmmm....not this winter Lindsy, probably next Spring, we were just talking about it the other day. Nothing is confirmed yet though.

Bobikins!!! My Bobikins!! giggle giggle giggle

Wallops coined that name for him! laugh

He's not 'one of us' here.

In fact, he's no longer active on this site since he found me ( unless he secretly has 10 more other accounts here! uh oh uh oh uh oh grin )

He's a workaholic. Not bad eh my life? From a alcoholic to a workaholic! giggle giggle giggle
What about him coming over my friend? See? My fiancee is the same, he's got a 7 year old and not easy moving too far away yet so I decided to go over to his place.

Or you can bring them (your children) there during school break maybe?

Must be so exciting my friend.
Hmnn Bobikins?applause how did she figure it out? Like some kind of desert?

Like mine Mimi, he's also deleted his profile after he met me. But you never know, wink yep. Maybe ten profiles he has on here eh??

And so am I, very very keen to show him world to him. He'd probably get some culture shock too! giggle giggle giggle

There's nothing my kids want more than to go back to Macau to see their beloved friends. In fact, I'd bringing them there this coming Nov for a 3-week holiday.

Ok Lindsy, this has gone off topic here. I better go now. Thanks!!!

Go for it my dear Mimi, and be happy. I did and I couldn't be happier.
And yes Zeu my friend, I, too love the rain so let's dance, shall we?
We too have just had our first significant rainful for months. I talk to someone from Norway who has nothing but rain so the weather pattern is definitely shifting. Two years ago we had rain non stop all summer and you may remember that damage was done in UK on a massive scale.

Enjoy your rain lindsy. I'm off for a swim now in the local outdoor pool lol. dancing
Rain thanks for your information, yes I can't believe how much damage it was. Prince Charles was even involved in the rescue and hopefully it wasn't just all for publicity.

I tend to believe that indeed it's a cycle and shift in the weather patterns. Hmmnnn, Norway that means they will have a lot of snow again perhaps. I remember one of our fellow blogger, mentioned that last year.

Thanks Rain. I was born in Philippines and yes we never have shortage of rain and love it.
I wish I know how to upload and attach the HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE RAIN, by Don Fogerty. Anyone?
G thanks for the upload and yes its a drop of heaven for the Redwoods and Sequoia
Hi Lin wave I'm a little jealous. I haven't seen a day of rain since last December and that was more of a sprinkle laugh Well, it's actually not funny. This may sound a little nutty, but last night, I dreamt that I was looking out the window and seeing rain. Then consciousness set in, I opened my eyes and voila, sunshine, but no rain. You know, you just inspired me to look up Nestle's involvement. laugh Enjoy your time up north :-)
Thanks Nidi, I was hoping it'd be like a monsoon but just a day. Today it's 81 and sunny.

We just might need to consult the rain Gods.

What's to lose, I was thinking.
