trust

One of the strongest pillars that account to the foundation of a good and sound relationship is through this very volatile yet complex and at the same time look so simple emotion given to us, man. T R U S T. With or without it can either break or make a relationship. Life is so complicated and somehow it doesn't look like it gets any easier, with all the negative feelings we have. However, some may or may not agree with me, that Trust actually is a result of some logic and reason applied before its execution.

This time, we will cover an area that doesn't only cover lover's realms but it can be to a friend, to a parent, to a fellow employee, to a supervisor or simply to the government.

TRUST. How does it affect our bearings towards the people that are important to us and even to those that are of less significance. And in general, the world for that matter?

Should we give our trust to someone or should we make them earn it? In example, if a person tells you something, would you give the benefit of the doubt that what he is telling or saying is true? This is about being close to that person as he or she will significantly spend most of the time with you.

Or should you assume that theory, where TRUST IS NOT GIVEN RATHER IT IS EARNED. Stemming from the experience, that, everybody is a liar. Therefore, no matter what that person is telling you, until you prove it to be true, you wouldn't give any credit to his words or arguments.

In case of a lover, would you be leery at first and distance yourself until you can feel comfortable that he is telling the truth? Therefore, TIME is always at your side and don't just jump fast to any commitment, rather take your time to know and study how compatible can you be to this person?

Thank you all for your participation..

fear

FEAR AND ITS EFFECT IN OUR LIVES

What are we afraid of? And more importantly why? Does fear come in many faces? Are there any known benefits of being afraid? Or is it so crippling that it kills the living light out of our life?

I know for a fact that all emotions are given to us for a reason. Relative to all our social, cultural, political and even native place, fear does exacerbate, hinder if not completely harm our life. Progressive as our civilization is, to me, it looks like fear is just as potent and more powerful in dominating our lives.

If it is, in your case, is there anything we can do to thwart and or apply a preventive measure, or even avoid it? Completely?

I am very grateful and thankful to everyone who always participate and share all their ideas, opinions, experiences in my journey to learn and to understand life in the hope that we can all get enlightenment in this rather cruel and unkind world.

To disagree and or agree with my ideas and opinions yet express it in a very respectful and dignified way is highly appreciated. It then fosters a very healthy dynamics in our relationship who will learn with me. It is a privilege to have this opportunity of sharing without being personal as stated in the blog rules.

My intention is to learn so I can improve and better myself, for me and the whole humanity. After all life is way too short. IMHO.

Thank you again.

May we all have a nice day/evening.

Let's get to the core

If your religion teaches you to kill, and you do it.

Who's fault is it?

Now killing as a response to the killer, would it serve good to humanity?

Or erasing and eliminating that religion, would it solve the problem?

Be my guest.

My son said: Mom, the saying goes, "EVIL REIGNS AND PREVAILS WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING."

Make sense, doesn't it?

So the question is? Are you a good man?

you worry me

PLEASE READ AND CONTRIBUTE ON HOW YOU FEEL. IT WAS SENT TO ME BY A FRIEND AND I FIND IT VERY INTERESTING IF NOT THOUGHT PROVOKING.

A newspaper stated that some Muslim doctor is saying we are profiling him because he has been checked three times while getting on an airplane. The following is a letter from a pilot. This well- spoken man, who is a pilot with American Airlines, says what is in his heart, beautifully. This pilot hit the nail right on the head in his open letter. No name calling, no hatred, no political agenda.

YOU WORRY ME!

I've been trying to say this since 911, but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country. But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.

I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings, killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The Palestinians celebrated, the Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So, I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage, hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim Americans and the Arab/Muslim terrorists in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter MORE of the same good neighbors and children?

The events of September 11 changed the answer.. It is not MY responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.

I want to know, I DEMAND to know and I have a right to know, whether or not you love America ..... Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car? Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation; that He will protect it and let it prosper? Or do you pray that Allah will destroy it in one of your Jihads? Are you thankful for the freedom that this nation affords? A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve this freedom by also paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America?? If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to start letting ME know about it

driving is a privilege

Well I was in court yesterday ready and armed with all the facts that I should have not been singled out to be cited for speeding and failure to turn my signal when lane changing.
(Being lunch time and freeway was empty, everyone was speeding over the speed limit but I passed a semi just to stay away from him as he was doing 80 on a 70).

So I said to myself: "I'm expert on this, I will show up with my professional and respectful demeanor and tell the judge and as usual get dismissed. But that's in California, my residence of 35 years. This time it's my first ticket in the Mid West and of course it's going to be the same.

Well not. Procedures are different but just the same, they just want your money and holy mackerel at least in Cali, you'll get the honor to be heard and state your case. Here you don't get to do all that, they just declare you have to pay and the amount is higher because you're ticketed for two. I said: "Where's the judge and the accuser?" ( officer who pulled me over)

The clerk said: "They're not here and we're making it easier for you". I said: No you're not making it easier for me, I demand the right to be heard and no, first of all I don't want to go to record or my insurance will be exorbitant. After negotiation, he finally realized I am bent to prove my innocence and be dismissed, he dismissed the case, not going to court and stand face to face with the highway patrol in front of a judge.

I said to myself, hmmmnn, a lot easier than in California where you have to sit in court for whole day listening to silly and inane stories trying to make the fine reduced.

But the truth is: This is not really enforcing the law, making the roads safe rather IT IS AN ENORMOUS AND PROFITABLE REVENUE GENERATING TOOL for the nation.

In my driving style (no accident) being a fast driver I'm sure I've paid a fortune to my state. And as soon as my daughter learned about it she said: "Some things don't change, just be careful mom, the snow is treacherous", and I said: "I will, honey".

But as they say it's a privilege, and so be it.

Please read below, copied from Google.

What do speed traps, parking tickets, toll roads, speed cameras and red light cameras all have in common? They are all major revenue sources for state and local governments. All over America today there are state and local governments that are drowning in debt. Many have chosen to use “traffic enforcement” as a way to raise desperately needed revenue. According to the National Motorist Association, issuing speeding tickets raises somewhere between 4.5 billion and 6 billion dollars in the United States each year. And the average price of a speeding ticket just keeps going up.

National Prayer's Breakfast Speech

Even I was convinced with the sincerity of the US president Obama on his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast meeting today.

He said in a very solemn voice: "GOD DOES NOT SUPPORT TERRORIST."

"WE SHOULD SEEK TO BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR PEACE".

"NO ONE SHOULD INSULT ANY RELIGION".

"OUR NATION DOESN'T SPONSOR NOR ENDORSE ANY RELIGION OR FAITH BECAUSE WE ARE GRANTED THE FREEDOM TO PRACTICE ANY KIND BUT MUST BE RESPECTFUL TO ALL."

The most that connected to my heart is when he said: WE SHOULD PRACTICE THE GOLDEN RULE.

Wouldn't it be great if all people in the world follow and practice the same thing?

Question is? Why can't we?

Anyways, I was also touched by his emphasis on the reasons why the founders of our nation included God in their Declaration of Independence and it is primarily with the fact that they believed in God.

I do.

NOTE: My question is, is he sincere? I doubt.

thoughts

Here I am sitting alone and deep in my thoughts. I look outside my window and realize what a mystery life is. I think of the world and all the different people there are here on earth bound by our own individual strength, weaknesses, excess and limitations. So different from the color of our skins, beliefs and religions. Societal values, mores and traditions. How we re so alike and yet so different. Alike in a way that we know struggles and difficulties. How sorrows and pain can cause tears and imbalance in our lives. Just as much as how happiness and joys can bring smiles deep in our hearts. How we feel injustice when we are injured and harmed.

Yes, how different we are in our ways of lives, in our beliefs, in our religions. How diversified we are in our cultures. But deep down we know what is right and wrong. Or at least that is how I was taught. And how I raised my children. That regardless of color, sex and who we are there are some universal bounds that glue us together. For instance love. Kindness, generosity and compassion.

We do have choices. We can choose to be bad over good. We can opt to be cruel over kind. The question I have is: How can we accept each other as different and yet be respectful of those differences?

We don't have to apply and or impose religions to do this, do we? We can believe in anything or anyone provided we don't harm each other, can't we?

We are all imperfect, of course, we are human. But isn't that the reason why we need to learn? So we can understand? So we can adapt and change?

Change for the better? Not only for each of us but for all man? For humanity?

Or do we insist on our own individual advantage at the expense of others?

What a challenging thoughts going through my mind. Then the snow started falling...Did man make the snow? The rain? Did man make the earth revolve around the sun so we can have life?

Thank you all for your reads and may everyone be happy. After all human life is far shorter than the trees. Yet I can never see them cry nor hear them complain. Oh but the wind make them dance. Did man make the wind?

Our mind. How powerful it is. Thoughts, what are yours?

HANDLING OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS IN THE US

One of the most acute and sensitive problem pressing our country today is the handling of this issue.

Question: A. Are you in favor of granting documents for these immigrants and become a US citizen? If not, why?

B. What would you propose to be done? And even better, whose responsibility that this violation is committed? Why can't we stop this problem?

NOTE: (WIKIPEDIA) Illegal immigration to the United States, also referred to as undocumented immigration, is the act by foreign nationals of entering the United States without government permission (i.e., visa) and in violation of immigration law of the United States, or staying beyond the termination date of a visa, also in violation of the law.

The illegal immigrant population of the United States in
2008 was estimated by the Center for Immigration Studies to be about 11 million people. (Newsweek magazine published an extensive report last year that it is about 12 million).

Other estimates range from 7 to 20 million.

According to a Pew Hispanic Center
report, in 2005, 57% of illegal immigrants were from
Mexico; 21% were from other Latin American
countries, primarily from Central America;

13% were from Asia; 6% were from Europe and Canada; and 3%
were from Africa and the rest of the world.

Thank you all so much for your contribution, opinions and comments.

This blog is intended to study and understand why such a number continue to be rising and how should it be handled.

what a game - NFL Super Bowl 49

Winning definitely feels great.

I feel and believe we should truly engage in a sport that makes us feel good.

Good for the body, mind and soul. JMHObouquet

While winning isn't everything, it does feel exhilarating to give your best and get the prize in the end.

LIFE AND MORE LIFE

I was reading about the front page of the Star Tribune, the biggest and most read newspaper in Minnesota, which I missed since the last five days and Last Sunday, it was such a very thought provoking headline: People all over the nation are coming to Minnesota for abortion? Texas and some states clinic are limited to accommodate and respond to the growing number of people who are in need of this delicate act. Taxpayers are paying for this mandate.

And then I remember the new law in California that was passed? (I didn't vote for it)

ABORTION IN SOME STATES, SPECIALLY CALIFORNIA IS NOW DONE WITH OR WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE PARENTS, EVEN IF THEY ARE UNDER 18 YEARS OLD..

What on earth is going on?

If you were a parent and this was done without your consent. Wouldn't you be mad? I think I would be.

First of all are you in favor? If not why?

Second, should the Federal government must dictate what the State must do? For right now the Supreme Court has made abortion legal in all state. But do you agree on this decision? Is there any better way to handle it?frustrated frustrated confused confused help help

hmnnn what is happening?

GOSSIP- casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.

"he became the subject of much local gossip"

synonyms:rumor(s), tittle-tattle, whispers,

FROM DICTIONARY.COM.

Hello fellow citizens of the Blog land. First of all let me invite you to sit down, relax and think of good positive things in life.

Second, let us find the true meaning of our gesture and think of the results that can possibly unfold. Does it hurt others? Or does it offer a solution?

Just because we talk about a certain issue that was truly aired, written and directed to hurt others, doesn't mean we gossip. Or does it? I thought I participated in a very clarifying blog re other's sick and vile views of other's God, religion and beliefs.

Anyways go ahead tear me up in pieces but be gentle, will you?

While you're at it, have a real joy in doing it, will you?
