Opera blog

RIP Montserrat Caballé, one of the great singers from my new country. She was 85

Don't imagine many opera buffs in CS but some may remember the opening ceremony of the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 - not live, as Freddie Mercury had died the year before. The video is "Barcelona" being performed in 1988. Piss off your neighbours, play it really loud.

Sometimes I laugh but sometimes I just laugh at people talking about Scenery esp in Kerry or Cork. Enniskillen wasn't too bad though. Cork?????

Daniela, ta for the link, she seems talented - I do prefer a mezzo-soprano but know that I am very much in the minority - but then I am not a true opera fan

Yeah-nah still talking in tongues so far as I'm concerned confused but it does seem you're probably the man to know if there are any famous rugby songs.

As compared to, say, the football classic for a couple of clubs, you'll never walk alone -

Glad you liked that little girl Melani...she's only been singing for 2 years since the age of 8.
She had the whole audience crying at the finals.
