Nicholas Godfrey, an 18-year-old student at Fivay High School, sent an Instagram DM offering $100k to have a staff member killed.Where did this take place? In Florida, naturally. Nicholas Godfrey is the next Florida Man story!
When the law arrested him, he explained it was a joke, and that he didn't mean to follow through with the threat. So now, because of an extremely unfunny joke, he is now facing first degree felony charges - which can quite possibly ruin his future.
Florida really is a weird place.
Please note: Just because I say "Florida, naturally", does not mean that I say that Florida is just these cases - it's just that whenever you hear something extremely weird, 9 times out of 10, it's somewhere in Florida!
