Did you ask her?
Was she able to fully and conclusively express herself?
It appears, however, that the planet is neither practically, nor emotionally healthy and maybe that's because the two are inextricably linked.
Thoughts, feelings and behaviours are what it is to be human. When we fail to balance them, we fail in our humanity.
We get behaviours like Derek Chauvin's.
Isn't it most likely that a successful appeal will mean the case is remanded?
A successful appeal doesn't mean Chauvin will walk free, but he may be retried.
I don't see how there would be grounds for dismissal if an appeal is based upon possible jury intimidation, rather than new evidence which impacts upon the validity of the evidence presented at trial.
It appears the defense was pretty inadequate which may have something to do with Chauvin's actions being indefensible, but at least a retrial would offer the opportunity for a more skilled challenge to the prosecuton.
What you don't want is successful appeals at a later date on the grounds that Chauvin was inadequately represented.
Maybe an opportunity was created for a retrial for reasons other than the obvious.
What do you think her motives were and what do you think she got out of seeing you cry at sad movie endings?
I love that movie. William H. Macy and Steve Buscemi are unforgettable in it.
People use the phrase, "Minnesota Nice" like the folks there are exceptionally pleasant.
Frances McDormand (Actress who played Margie) coined the term during the making of "Fargo" and she meant it as a sarcasm.
Contrary to what's claimed at the beginning of the movie, it's Not Based on actual events - It's pure fiction.
The reason for which Lundegaard embezzled money are Never mentioned in the Movie.
Before it became known that the story was total fabrication, it was taken for granted among Minnesotans that he'd lost money at the then recently opened Treasure Island Indian Casino near Red Wing, MN.
A few similar stories had been in the news.
I heard folks from Minnesota complain that the movie made fun of the way they talked -
And the folks sounded like they were extras in the movie. ...
I know a guy - 1/2 Palestinian & 1/2 Minnesotan ... Yasser YouBetcha.
I was More apt to cry @ movies than was Wife ... I blamed dust in the air.
Obviously Frustrated Judge Acknowledged Mad Maxie had given Chauvin's Defense grounds to ask for a mistrial based on Jury Intimidation -
She'd Unequivocally issued an Ultimatum that BLM would become "More Confrontational" IF the jury did Not return a verdict of "Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!" on All Three Counts.
Ja, jaaa. Yes in Norwegian and Swedish is exactly this "ja" lol
They don't have to complain at all, it contributed to make the movie famous but in a more positive way than they might think. It's more in the direction of Minnesota-nice I would say.
I never wondered much of why he needed the money, mr. Lundegaard (also a scandinavian name).
I saw it more as his way of trying to "get his share".
You could say that backfired pretty badly. lol
Sorry Jac for the temp.thread steal.

... Nailed It!!
Jericho Green here telling a story of how America is one still.
This is worth a watch! 18mins.
He has a potty mouth...
But, he does see it the way it is..
Why I say, this case was not racial..but, police brutality...
40 years
14 Attorneys worked 11 months to explain 9 minutes and 29 seconds.
Looks to me as if Chauvin's actions have been explored at every possible angle.
Personally speaking, its really not easy being a street cop these days. Thats why more and more cops are leaving the force to join private security companies and I wish him good luck. It will get worse before it gets better, with many many cops just looking the other way when crimes are committed, and not doing the right thing.
Jmo.
Establishing police accountability is necessary to all failures of the system, including all aspects of racial bias.
Unless we address conscious and unconscous bias, we cannot affect change.
I don't know how you come to the conclusion that 'not looking the other way' will lead to 'looking the other way'.
It's 'looking the other way' which leads to more 'looking the other way' because it establishes a culture where 'looking the other way' is acceptable.
If Cops Can't be held Criminally accountable ...
It's not a mature, nor a just way of dealing with accountability.
It just propagates and condones secretive brutality which is the very thing that is the problem in the first place.
The last I saw of it was me commenting in response to bigjb saying you had a quite miniscule intelligence in you brain and that like many you thought you knew something.
I asked him if that was his defense idea in the event of a retrial.
I'm almost sure it would have got Chauvin off, y'know, women being too stupid to look at that footage and realise that George Floyd killed himself.
That's still quite a sentence and a ruined life to boot.
It mayn't be the Best way to motivate change in the System, but 'most anything Else to date seems to be working as well as silk stockings on a rooster. ...
That's not an argument for more immature approaches.
Back to Reality.
It's a Moot point - It could NEVER Happen on account of Cop Unions.
Much the same reason Good cops (whistleblowers) get fired & Bad ones do Not.
But that's No reason to Not keep things in Perspective ...
