Time to pay a visit to the dentist, I think. Personal blog incoming!

Being Danish, I can enjoy some benefits, like tax funded health care and free dentist trips, if you are under the age of 18. I am not 18 anymore, but almost 37. That means I have to pay for my own dentist appointment. I have consistently been in the lower end of the salary range, so I simply couldn't afford dentists. That means I haven't been to one in at least 18 years.

I am not the healthiest person ever, which has had an impact on my teeth. Some are broken, while others have fallen out. Recently, the gum at one of my teeth has decided to recede. Not the end of the world at the moment, but IF it continues, I will have a problem and an exposed tooth neck, making my life painful and miserable. So what to do? Do I get the tooth removed? Do I get a crown? Or do I get a gum graft? I think the easiest procedure is to remove the tooth. I might look weird, but I will not have that issue to worry about. The rest of my teeth feel/look okay, so I am gonna think about what I do.

Anyway, hopefully it will change with different brushing technique, and with a softer brush.

Have you ever thought of going to the Tandlægeskolen? That's where I go here in Malmö, it's much cheaper than the regular dentist. There's always a dentist on hand to check the work that is being done, but it's always the students doing the work. Sometimes you have to wait long, depending on what your dental problem is, and what problems the students are mastering at the time, then there's the fact that the schools are closed during the normal school holidays. Lucky for me, I only go there twice a year to have my teeth cleaned, and don't have any dental problems.
