TPMS...

The TPMS is a Tire Pressure Monitoring System that is standard equipment for all new cars. It's part of the tire valve stem located inside the rim where you add air to the tires. The sensors are linked to the car's computer and a warning light on the dashboard will come on to alert the driver when the tire pressure falls below a predetermined value. For my car, it's about 28 pounds of pressure when the sensor activates the low pressure warning.

I typically have my tires filled to 32 pounds of pressure.
We've had some cold weather this month with morning temperatures in the high 50's. Tires normally filled when the weather is in the 80's will have much lower pressure at 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the warning light comes on.

After 15-20 minutes of driving, the tires have warmed up and the pressure is back into range. The warning light goes off.

This weekend, I'll add some air to each tire enough to keep the warning light from coming on, but not so much that it's above specification when the outside temperature is back to the 80's

I keep mine at 35 and I got this cute little gadget that is about the size of an elec drill.
I usually check them if I'm leaving town and it takes about a minute to top them off.
I set the pressure on my gadget and then it shuts off when it gets there. It also shows how much you have before it starts.
Cordless tire pump in the $60 to $80 range

I walk giggle
I used to worry about these things, but then I got a reliable car and it's someone elses problem now. I just tell the guy/girl to fix whatever needs fixing.

For the record, my car does around 140kmh no problems, over that no worries but a lot of smoke.

I thimk the injectors are farked or something, but it goes hard still, no problems.
Why do you speed Pat?
Complex question, day to day keep it within limits. Well, a bit over but not enough to get fined. See what the traffic is doing. On the country roads where the cops don't go, yeah do a bit of research.

Why? yes valid question, getting there a few minutes quicker seems silly in ratio to the risks.

But amongst other things, I've done a fair bit of speedway racing, and know the limits. So a lot of situations don't really bother me at all, like aquaplaning with a trailer or whatever. so the speed limit seems a bit tame to me.

Challenge accepted.
Nice 1 Pat, i like a bit of speedway racing myself;; thumbs up you must be pretty good at drifting Pat, tire pressures are critical to achieve the perfect drift..
Pat I use to love going to the speedway..Why don't you take it up again as a hobby?

If I sat next to you in a car I would need a bucket..Tranquilisers..Asthma spray and a bong uh oh laugh

Windows down whilst the wind messes your hair..Your right arm dangles out of your window tapping to the beats blaring through your speaker whilst your foot is to the pedal. A kangaroo smack bang out of no where..

I would love to bring it on with you in a dodgem car..I would line you up..You would be so dizzy from my zippy manoeuvres..You wouldn't know what hit you
