DeSantis is back at it, again...

I often wonder if Florida governor Ron DeSantis is the antichrist as he's back to doing things that boxed him into issues that were unpopular with Florida voters.

The son of Immigrants, he rages against immigrants and once misappropriated funds to bus some illegals across Texas state line and drop them off at Martha's Vineyard with no approval or jurisdiction to do so.
He's anti-Disney, anti-gay, anti-woke, anti-books and now it's reported he's reaching out to send the Florida National Guard to guard the Mexico border.

C'mon Ron... pay attention to Florida, the state where you were elected to serve.

Why are you blaming a U.S governor for taking action against the influx of illegals since the NOTHING has happened on the Fed level? Did Joey boy send money to Texas, Florida, Arizona. etc. to cope with the problem that he created?
Isn't it funny that the local powers got rid of those "immigrants" before sunset? They claimed to be a "sanctuary" town but when it came right down to it, THEY SHIPPED THEM OUT!
Why should border states (and their taxpayers) shoulder the costs and receive NOTHING from the Fed's and or non-border states?
NYC, Chiago and other big "sanctuary" cities are screaming because they can't handle the influx on illegals and they're NOT EVEN A BORDER STATE!
6 million illegals have crossed the border in the 3 years since Joey had dropped all the Trump era tools that were in place and were working well.
"He's anti-Disney, anti-gay, anti-woke, anti-books". Let me address that ignorant statement. Disney is woke, and woke is ridicules and address's no real issues, it's a bunch of "feel good" nonsense for the weak minded. Are the books that you're referring to the ones whey they cover sexually explicit material in school libraries? Most states have laws where you can't purchase a copy of Playboy, Penthouse or Hustler until you reach 18 but you think its ok to have sexually explicit books in schools for children to read. Example: Gender Queer, All Boys Aren’t Blue and Flamer just to mention a few. LOOK THEM UP AND READ THEM and if you're not disgusted then you are sick yourself.
Finally, give one example of how Ron Desantis is anti-gay?
Wow, what a tremendous display of emotion.
I'll actually read your response later.

To start, lets agree on one thing... DeSantis is the governor of the state of Florida.
Agree?
The Supreme Court ruled last week that the federal government had the power to remove razor wire and other barriers the Texas government erected at the border.

But, DeSantis is sending 1,000 Florida Nation Guard to Texas to to assist with placing razor wire along the southern border.

I'll guess it's out of his legal jurisdiction and I'll guess Florida taxpayers are paying for this.

Good on ya Governor Chat thumbs up showing some loyalty and solidarity to border security..

Must be near time to file a suit or 2 against Biden, Biden was saying he's waiting for congress approval before he can act.. doh
Worse than that, DeSantis wasted hundreds of thousands in taxpayer dollars to fly refugees from Texas to Marthas Vineyard; not to be confused with illegals, as the first commenter bleated in his bigoted blather. We can only hope DeSantis and Abbot may still be held accountable for that stunt.. roll eyes

Flying migrants to Massachusetts was political, critics say. But was it legal?

Sep 18, 2022 Public records show the state paid a private contractor, Vertol Systems Inc., an aircraft solutions provider, $615,000 to transport the migrants to Martha's Vineyard. That's $12,300 per migrant.

...

Some of the migrants who arrived in Martha's Vineyard last week told NPR they were told they'd be flown to Boston where they could get expedited work papers, but that's not what they found upon arrival in Martha's Vineyard. Instead, local churches, homeless shelters and other aid groups had to scramble to accommodate them because they weren't given any notice of their arrival.

Tallahassee-based immigration attorney Elizabeth Ricci explains there's a "good faith argument" to be made that luring the migrants onto planes with the promise of jobs makes them crime victims. And that means they could automatically qualify for a visa, she said.

"An enticement like that, regardless of whether you sign a waiver, is fraud and that is part of the definition of human trafficking," Ricci explains. "I think that everybody on those planes has a case to legalize as a direct result of being transported by the governor."

He should have flew them all to the District of Colombia state Bohe, that would have woke the US muppets up..
He should have minded his own state and stay out of national affairs.
I'm heading to bed and have an important meeting in a few hours.

I bookmarked something important referencing the border... but it will have to wait.
Maybe Chat, it maybe better to divide govts into a domestic side and an international side..
The domestic part of govt to look after the nation within and international dealing with international affairs.. dunno
uh uh uh wave Because of the National Guard's dual state-federal mission, Guard members can be mobilized to protect and defend America in battle domestically or overseas. Should this happen, you'll be trained, ready and prepared to go, mentally and physically.

You have one of the best governors currently in office in this country.

Now, please, what has your governor done wrong in protecting our own citizens and borders as well as other countries borders? hmmm

Average people taking control of the situation doesn't sit well with some people i guess Del, they would rather leave it to a sit on their hands govt when it comes to domestic issues...
so sad people don't realize flooded borders of illegal immigrants IS a national affair; especially for border states.

what can those states do? the same thing the fake white house squatter is doing, move them to where they have more room and resources. a taste of their own medicine.

if the squatter in the white house did his job in favor of the country and citizens, border states wouldn't have to take the steps they are taking. the squatter knows he needs ALL the illegal votes he can get now more than ever.

actually, desantis seems to be quite popular with the majority of florida voters. must be because of his actions in favor of the state. i still have many relatives and friends that live there. desantis isn't perfect but he does have a lot of support for most of his policies and actions.

florida just has to hope all those people fleeing demonrat controlled states to move to there, don't screw it up by voting the same as they voted for in the states they're leaving from. if they vote for for the same type of "leadership?", many states could become california and worse very quickly.

desantis won't be president this round. i think florida might be glad to keep him as governor in the over all scheme of things right now. hope they have another good, potential leader, in 2026. desantis will be term limited then.
Right on Draeg the immigrates are let in to fleece the US elections later this year, and the word of privatization of the national guard and homeland security is a bit scary with the estimated 9.6 million immigrates in need of work..

With the Fleecing of the US elections they run Jerry Seinfeld up against Trump it would be landslide victory, then run Jeremy Clarkson up against Sunak in the British elections.. doh
Biden has been looking for $13.6 billion for border security. The money would pay for more border patrol officers, immigration judges, shelters and detention centers. It also includes more than $1 billion for battling fentanyl trafficking.

Unfortunately Republicans are blocking it.
DeSantis reminds me of that religious twit that accused the purple Telly Tubby of being gay...laugh
Whatever...its all quite stupid...
It seems to me that DeSantis is an attention seeking whore...like most nut jobs...just like...redclown the former Prez. 45
all the Laws to close the Border, and get some sanity into the whole Immigration-Debacle are already on the Books!
They are called "Immigration-Laws"!laugh
Besides,Biden could close the Border with the stroke of a Pen,by invoking the closing of the Border through an Executive Order!
Merl, biden doesn't need that money to fix what he broke when he became 46. He doesn't need what you you think he needs. He can protect us from the current invasion with his pen. Btw, why is immigration out of control in Europe, especially Ireland, these days?

wave
It must be Biden's fault...
Biden: "We need ‘constant, unrelenting stream’ of immigrants." 2014....

The dems have planned this invasion at the southern border for a long time.
The invaders are future votes for democrats but biden keeps saying we need their employment here to do lower paying jobs that u,s, citizens don't want to do. Wow, all these new wars and this invasion are going on while social security is still going insolvent soon but scary joe finds money for wars and to support the invaders.

Let's revisit sleepy joe in 2014 and 2015 in the content of these links.

Please Fast forward to about 10 minutes in the video in this cspan video for joes description of what he predicts by 2017 (when joey assumed hillary clinton would be president.) btw ....

Please notice in the video who is sitting to biden's left.

So how will the 'immigrants in waiting' hear of this 'stroke of the pen' and if the do will they voluntarily turn back?

Quote NY Times:
"The deal would make it more difficult for migrants to be granted asylum in the United States, increase detention capacity, step up deportations of individuals seeking to enter the country without authorization, and shut down the U.S.-Mexico border to new entries if crossings exceed a certain level."

So what's the funding for?
