POLLUTION -ITS EFFECT IN OUR ENVIRONMENT/HEALTH
One of the downside of our progressive life is the creation of so many industries that not only pollute the earth but known to have a very negative health impact in our lives. In 1970, the US Environmental Protection Agency was formed and last year has 15, 913 employees with a $7.901 billion dollar annual budget.
It was primarily conceived and created for the purpose of protecting human health and the environment during the Reagan's administration.
Today, it prides itself in creating and maintaining the national standards on the enforcement of laws for the said purpose.
But this is only in the US. The purpose of this blog is to create awareness for us all citizens of the world to participate and cooperate in such an astronomical responsibility, after all, we have only one earth, yet so far that sustains human life that we know of. While science has a continued effort and success in finding so many similar planets that can sustain life, it is not clear yet as to how we can reach those planets to become habitable for us human.
I am inspired to create this blog due to the enormous negative impact of other countries who might not have the same programs like we do. I am very aware that in some third world countries like my birth country, the Philippines, pollution is one of the worst problem we have when it comes to human health.
Our population growth is rising fast, yet we are not globally united in this effort that I know of. In fact I am aware how most of us are not taking the responsibility seriously expecting the government to do it all for us. I read the new law under the Obama administration on checking the new system of extracting gas from under the surface of the earth called FRACKING.
Any opinions on how we can contribute to this growing concern? And what can we do specifically in our place to create awareness and responsibility? What would happen if we continue to harm our environment?
Thank you all for your contributions, opinions and comments.

in the late evening.
If you love non processed foid, San Joaquin Valley is tge organic food capital of the world
Remember the books we talked about? Even Atlas Shrugged, it will cost no more than a buck sometimes.
So come..
So for my invitation, guadal, including you wouldn't be a number worth enough to worry about, don't you think?
So yes, I can invite anybody as long as I am aware it is not for terrorism and if I fail to note that, I am sure our TSA and Defense would be able to take care of that. My take guadal.
Maybe it is more convenient to buy it in a mall or supermarket.
If u like shopping.
Dgill a good supply until June.
I sidh I know how to upload my garden or rather more like my daughter's Guadal. But its so beautiful even just to look at.

I hope that it is still functional and meet all the necessary measures to improve such a very malignant illness to our earth.
Thanks fun and it would really be good for everyone if we can unite and concern our lawmakers to initiate a very responsive application to improve our environment and thereby lead to the key that would promote a healthy life.
Thanks again.
Thanks..
Thanks again
How's your side or that earth?
Are there mushroom books for a buck, too?
If you love trees Google Seuioa Trees, too, up in Fresno four hours away
Let me know
More challenging seem to be the trails to the giant sequoia stands. But u will need lots of time, I guess to see more than a little bit. And Armstrong Reserve is only about 300 ha big.
I am so glad you have checked the magnificent, most rare and unusual gift of nature to man. And to think that it is within easy reach from where I stand. Coincidentally Guadal. Luther Burbank, please google also, declared that my County, Sonoma is the most chosen place on earth as far as ground, fertility is concerned.
Personally, though, I would consider more of San Joaquin Valley, which is located 115 miles North of LA. It is the seat of the Almond and Carrot capital of the world. I had a two acres there for 7 years and I still have copies of my garden that just absolutely provided me food and sold in the Farmer's Market with the help of my children. I was certified Organic grower for 4 years. And now they are initiating the planting of Olives as the shortage of supply is reaching an unusual high according to the economic reports last year (Newsweek report, which I got a copy).
Anyways, yes Guadal, there are so many good things about the agriculture part of this area which provides a lot of carbon dioxide on the air that we breath.
So yes you can come and I am looking forward to it.
Some of these trees are actually taller than that of the Great Sequoias but not as massive..
unspoiled in which way? U see e.g. DDT was found even in the Arctic and Antartica, though it was never sprayed there.
But there are still lots of "unspoiled" places. Just think of national parcs in New Zealand, the mountains of Papua, Tundra and Taiga, deserts or uninhabited islands.
Carbon dioxide is not really the problem. Plants would grow much better with a content ten times higher than nowadays. All the fixed CO2 in calcareous rocks will never be set free by human industries.
Pollution is bad indeed when it comes to chemicals, plastic, radioactivity or smog.
But organic farming alone does not keep people from developping cancer.
Perhaps u can find out if this disease is unknown to uncivilized, wild people. But there r not many left.
Have u done some hiking on Sequoia trails?
Gracias mas mi amigo.
We're ruining our planet one day at a time.

Reagan, 1970, are you sure about that?
