put as a number that's $2,360,000,000 & that's just the punitive fine, there's another $16,800,000 in compensation to be added to that, allowing for an investment return of say 7% that will give the widow a daily spending allowance of over $160 million dollars A DAY, she wouldn't dare take a day off as she'll need to spend $300 million the next day

I don't think [I stand open to correction here] you can actually prove to a Court of Law that Smoking caused Lung Cancer? I know of people who have died from this and never smoked, again, passive smoking before the ban on smoking at work and in social places.
I think it is a ridiculous amount. Are they trying to set a legal precident I wonder
