Who loves housework?

Yup don't all shout at once.

Life is a learning curve. If you have a red stair carpet, don't have a ginger cat. And really don't have a white dog. Or get rid of the red carpet.

Worst job - brushing the stairs with a rubber brush. No question.

Every time I have houseguests (and I love to have houseguests) I realize what a lazy housewife I am the rest of the time. By the time the guests arrive I have housemaid's knee, tennis elbow, and want to sleep for a week. moping

Ain't that the truth, that more housework keeps finding you?

I'm guessing your stairs are more colour-coordinated with your pets than mine. I DREAM of just being able to sweep my stairs. blues
Black pet hair isn't great either..mumbling
Nope! I Have No Pets.
Just feet's on the stairway___batting
I wish snakes were cuter and more cuddly. They'd make tidy pets.

Probably scare off the spiders, too.
Angel, got dog!

Hehe. couldn't resist.
MJ - wow she looks so HAPPY! barf
Labor Day, am I right, MJ? and my spies (well in NY state) tell me the weather is wonderful ... have a great day

Wait until 10pm Central Timezone/ usa .....rolling on the floor laughing
My understanding is all women love it. From the time they are small girls they pretend they are playing house with their dolls and doll houses. They grow up dreaming of the day they get to buy their first broom. Secretly, although they don't like to admit it, a sign of true love is the husband who buys them not a new car, but instead a better vacuum cleaner or floor mop. Look how much money the female half spends on cleaning supplies. They wouldn't do this if it wasn't a love of housework and cleaning at the core of their souls. Every real man knows nothing turns a woman on like mopping up around the toilet seat or scrubbing the stains out of his drawers. Those trivial pains the OP whines about, she does it to herself. No man would bother because we know we don't love housework like the women do. This is why we leave it to them. True Love.
I think someone should invent a self house cleaner, you know, like those pool cleaners people have whereby you simply turn the thing on and it plays by itself cleaning the pool.

Cant wait for the day they bring out domestic robots.
Hi Biff,
I love housework and always keep it up to date. laugh
hug wave
And I did some clean too specially at my room & sis room.as she will come.

Only that i hate about cleaning is dust, make me sneeze but when see the result ahhh ^-^ , then after that tea time

cool
Angel - I'm here now -

This time difference thing is a bit of a nuisance.
Sola, there's a vacuum bot out already. Doesn't do stairs. I checked.
Cat, will you marry me? batting
Obstinance, I suspect that in this one field alone, I am more male than female. I am not that untidy or slovenly, and I am quite prepared to live in the mess I do make.

I just don't feel I can ask the same of my guests. help
Lavina - I agree - when it's all done, it does look nice!

Not much left to do ... yawn
Don't think I left anyone unanswered, not deliberate if I did, the pungent cleaning chemicals are playing merry hell with my brain.

No blog planned, either, unless inspiration strikes tonight or tomorrow night. Then I shall be off-line for a few days, unless said company is boring, in which case I will be on here looking for my daily shot of life and excitement.

Oh, and I gave up on the loo seat. That was about 6 blogs ago, if anyone is paying attention. I now have a very boring and sedate one which stays in place, and doesn't attack anyone. cool
Some of those autumn spiders are so big you could put a saddle on them. jaw drop
Canada too? Is NO part of the world safe? wow
No, I meant Ireland. Several years ago, a friend and I were staying with her parents in the country. I woke up in the morning to see this humungous spider with humungous eyes sitting on my pillow staring at me. When I screamed, it hit the floor with such a thud, the whole house shook! help Grizzly bears aren't that big! laugh
Lol Lucy, they are a breed apart...and have no fear hole
And VERY bold, Molly! Have you noticed how they stare at you? I spent the rest of my holiday constantly on the look out for them. laugh
I actually started a declutter over the weekend.

I started with my clothes/shoes.

I asked with each item "Do you Need it?" . Not "Do you want it?" Or there'd be nothing got rid of!

I now have bags for recycling; bags for the refugee convoy; and high heeled shoes for a local charity.

I did all that on Friday night at an unearthly hour..and have done nothing since!
laugh
Eleg, I have enough on my plate, without doing reverse cowgirl on a giant spiderlaugh
Ah, you need to be clearing the spare room for a visitor to really get motivated. Otherwise everything just ends up there ...
Thst is where all the bags are now laugh
Listen, could I store a few with you? Just for a couple of days?
Why do I get the feeling they would be gathering dust (and giant spiders) before being collected? scold
Ok, I'll take the goddam bags!

laugh

Now I must take my mad dogs out walking before they start chewing me out of boredom!
"Worst job - brushing the stairs with a rubber brush."

It's so much more efficient and easier to vaccuum them. banana
Lucy scold my dog's hairs could be sold as industrial strength glue. And my vacuum is VAST.

To know all is to understand all. You should have seen those stairs.
Oh. My vaccuums have always been lightweight so that I could easily vaccuum stairs. Thank goodness! I have superior knowledge of dog and cat hairs. Both animals could have created clones from the hairs they left scattered around the house! laugh
