The Value of Friendship

To me, there is nothing more valuable in life next to my children than friends.

Yes, friends who believe in you, who supports you and know exactly what you are going through. Who is there to grieve with you when you lose a love one. Who is there to remind you how great life is after the struggle of some kind. Who cries, laugh, sigh, smile, with you in life.

I have four great friends with whom I can say, friends for life. One is my college friend, Marilyn who lives in Stockton which is only a couple of hours drive away. Retired Nurse. Then my friend of 34 years who lives in Geneva and can say the closest of them all as we see each other almost every year. Then Genie, for 20 years and Sandra for the last ten years. With the exception of Sandra, we are all retired from our respective professions. And of course, that gives us more time to see each other more often than when we were all working.

Each of these friends of mine all mean a lot to me as I am to them. No matter if I am married or not, I communicate with them, visit with them and thank God for the net now communication is faster and clearer and free.

Anyways I just wanted to share my great feelings of having great friends and I hope each and everyone of us have friends that truly make us feel life worth living.

Note: I do have a lot of good friends whom I met here on CS and while I only met about five of them in real life, they too, give me a lot of inspiration and make me feel how beautiful this place is.
