Smartphones and blog comments - problem?
I may have missed blogs on this change and apologies if so but it really is a little irritating.Used to be you could only see the first 30 comments on a blog on a smartphone unless you went into full option (and eeny teeny print), well, not that many blogs go past 30 comments anyway. Not a huge problem.
Now it seems we can only see first few words of each comment - and that's not only me, Pat mentioned it on my last blog too.
It's a bit cynical of the programmers to assume we know what everyone's likely to say so don't need to see it
Maybe if those who prefer, or only, use smartphone, and have this issue, could leave comments, and if it seems there really are quite a few affected, we could ask pretty-please to go back to the luxury of 30 full comments?
(And hey, anyone else astonished that it is already Friday?)
Comments (53)
The only things I have lost since the change are the additional emoticons box, and the line down at the bottom of the comment box with the bold italics, image, colour, etc
btw forgot to say I liked your new photos, its nice to see you outdoorsis is it wine you are drinking?
Interesting! Maybe then someone can tell us which magic option Molly chose which bypasses the problem?
(and Ish, puzzled face here, you talking about my photo? because it is back to my boring lounge background)
Hope you have a great stress-free weekend...
I don't seem to have any hassles on my phone.
I have a smart phone that I used for everything, including taking pic and online apps. I don't have that issue but I have quite a few. Sometimes I type the correct thing and when I look on what went through is totally off.
I just kinda ignore the gramma sometimes and hope the reader understood what is it I'm trying to say.
Maybe Trying a Samsung phone is a good option...maybe.
Oh! just did a very quick Google and there's an app for CS mobile IRELAND. Hey, that's just bias!
Luke, you're either tapping into the Irish option or SA also has a friendlier one! You have a fab weekend too, Boet, sheesh you guys get a lot of public holidays (In the UK now all public holidays except Christmas are moved to the nearest Monday. It does simplify things but I do miss that occasional midweek break)
Emptyroom Robot pays for my services but is a frustrating pupil who never answers questions, and never seems to improve.
He/she/it also never rates me as a teacher, so it is basic pay only, no bonus.
On the bright side, I can ignore him/her/it and carry on chatting on CS, reading emails, checking FB, and starting on my last assignment for my qualification. Could be worse.
Unfortunately, it is true though
We will be deserted out in the Atlantic with a Non-EU country between us and the rest of the EU
And the potential of strife in the North again
My source is usually right, hope so in this case
The DUP only represent the loyalists, who want to be part of the UK and will want a border again
That is a very dangerous situation
Molly, become my partner in crime in Spain, SORTED, and oh boy Spain brace yersells, double trouble and TWO
evilfascinating ladies on the prowlWhen I Use My Mobile! ( Which Is Most Of The Time)
I Uses The CS Website Desk Top Site! And I See All Of It! I Don't Use My Laptop Much For This Site. Because I Get To Laid Down While On The Site. And Relax!
The North is a very sticky, turbulent, issue. It does have to be handled differently to the rest of the UK.
Just Make The Words Become Bigger!
By tapping on your phone screen! Or go into your google setting. Then adjust the setting to how you want your size of the words to be.
By The Way!
I Have To Tap My Phone Screen Twice!/ 2 Time Before It Enlarge To Incease The Words....
To be honest, I would prefer to leave the EU than have trouble in the North again. They have gone through enough as it is, it wouldn't be fair to subject them to more of it.
Sorry?!
It's Too Late! We're? On Biff Second Page Now.......
b) Angel has the solution THANK YOU switch to full site and tap twice (it's like a secret code ) and Bob's your uncle. CS in miniature, but not so miniature you can't read it.
Ok so that's sorted the smartphone problem, and the politics put to bed with an Atlee-like wait-and-see. Excellent.
Mischief managed.
Whoever coined the phrase "smart phone " was indeed a funny guy
