REVENGE
They say revenge is a dish best eaten cold.I don't mind if it is hot or cold, but I want it. The person bringing my car from Scotland with me paying ferry, tolls and flight back, has done a dirty on me, picked a quarrel, taken the huff and taken my car to Malaga, 80 km away, so I have to get it from there.
It will be a massive pain in the butt but that's not what the blog is about. I'm ANGRY. It has cost me hundreds of pounds, he's had the use of the car for a holiday with his best girl, and he's cheated at the last on the deal.
I fought myself for quite a while not to report it stolen. I'm not, after all, that nasty - but I do want satisfaction. It was a cheap trick to play, a completely selfish thing to do, and I don't care if my retaliation is silly, or childish, or a little bit evil so long as this anger stops eating me up. Hell, make me laugh, cheer me up, but spike my imagination.

I'd rather scare him than actually do anything, perhaps they could lurk until I have the keys and parking ticket, then follow him closely until he actually publicly wets himself?
But I still have to meet him at 6 and be polite until the keys and parking ticket are safely in my clutches. Then walk rapidly away before I say something I will really regret!
Very philosophical of you, and everything DOES happen for a reason. And you're right on one thing, if it had all gone to plan he could have been inviting himself for holidays because I 'owed' him and that would have been horrendous.
Dodged a bullet there!

Other Scots words that fit like a glove - bawbag and numpty
The whole problem blew up because the van is starting to complain a bit about everything being asked of it and taking them to the airport would have had to be in the van, the car is too small for 3 people, luggage and a dog. I asked if I could instead put them on the coach to save myself the 160 km round trip. He decided I was saying I would leave them to find their own way to the airport and when I texted back saying no but I thought they might like to explore the coastal towns he said I was changing plans every five minutes and he no longer trusted me and was taking the car to Malaga. WTF?
I also half suspect this was his intention all along and he had been waiting for me to say something, anything, he could twist out of context and into an excuse
I need to be on top of my game with tons of energy
That change everything to suit the chip on their shoulder.
There is a great Cork word to suit him. He's a langer !
And yes Irish by origin, Scots by residence, Paranoid by inclination.
One other time, in a bus, to another place, I tried going into their free wifi thing but only to find out it was in Spanish!!!

Will post some pics of our Malaysian-Chinese version soon when I go back to my hometown some where next week
Sorry Zmountainman just thought she would have saved all this bother. She can sell camper when she finds her bolt hole, then buy a car with joint monies from Scotland and camper van. Simpliz. It must have cost a bob or two haveing someone bring car over at her expense and flying him back home
Well Biff hope it all works out for you both. I think me myself would be pished a bit if plans were changed in the middle of everything JMO
Of course I don't mind, I said. I even paid for it without thinking twice about it, although she did offer to pay
Now if I had been this guy I would have stolen her car and taken it to the airport and told her she could collect it from there.
I think that's the difference.
Second hand cars have very little value in the UK. Second hand cars in Spain do keep their value (no rust) and are quite expensive. I could have sold mine for perhaps £2K. I could have bought the left hand drive version of the same make and model, same age, for 5K euros. I have no idea whether the owner has looked after it as I have looked after mine. I have no idea whether it is as cheerful and friendly as mine. It did have a higher mileage. And 5K euros will be far better spent on the house, instead all I have to find is the money to to get my car matriculated, plus what I paid the bawbag to bring it to Spain, plus the 5 hours of my life I wasted today thanks to the bawbag.
I might just get this whole explanation printed off in both English and Spanish and make laminated copies because I will be saying it a lot otherwise.
The only thing that worries me, after a month of driving the van, is that my car seems to have shrunk. It seems smaller than before.
But then my smartphone hates me
I hate it more
Just out of curiosity what make is your vehicle? The condition you've mentioned intrigues me.. Can you post any photos?
Drive safe Biff..
