REVENGE

They say revenge is a dish best eaten cold.

I don't mind if it is hot or cold, but I want it. The person bringing my car from Scotland with me paying ferry, tolls and flight back, has done a dirty on me, picked a quarrel, taken the huff and taken my car to Malaga, 80 km away, so I have to get it from there.

It will be a massive pain in the butt but that's not what the blog is about. I'm ANGRY. It has cost me hundreds of pounds, he's had the use of the car for a holiday with his best girl, and he's cheated at the last on the deal.

I fought myself for quite a while not to report it stolen. I'm not, after all, that nasty - but I do want satisfaction. It was a cheap trick to play, a completely selfish thing to do, and I don't care if my retaliation is silly, or childish, or a little bit evil so long as this anger stops eating me up. Hell, make me laugh, cheer me up, but spike my imagination.

Suggestions? devil

Biff....you should have paid him half in Edinburgh.....and the rest on the completion of the mission....

sad flower
Map, you tempt me sorely, you do.

I'd rather scare him than actually do anything, perhaps they could lurk until I have the keys and parking ticket, then follow him closely until he actually publicly wets himself? applause
Jazz - I had to pay the ferry and flight up front, so it is just the tolls. He said generously that he'd let that go. See, he's not ALL bad. uh oh
see you never know someone fully but more than a story i would make sure he got a true commuppence grin
Should say that's why I was angry. All burned off now.

But I still have to meet him at 6 and be polite until the keys and parking ticket are safely in my clutches. Then walk rapidly away before I say something I will really regret!
Hi Sola!! wave

Very philosophical of you, and everything DOES happen for a reason. And you're right on one thing, if it had all gone to plan he could have been inviting himself for holidays because I 'owed' him and that would have been horrendous.

Dodged a bullet there! laugh
Just saw a t-shirt I want.

IF LIFE GIVES YOU MELONS YOU MAY BE DYSLEXIC
Titch in a tight t-shirt would cause traffic accidents whatever was written on the front rolling on the floor laughing
Think how many people would be getting tested for dyslexia though laugh
Very deft, Molly, 69th.

Any preferences? dancing
Hope he didn´t leave it in the car park coz it´s a bit pricey
B, he will have left it in the car park. Probably overnight. Part of that 100 euros I reckon this will cost me will be getting it out of parking. He's not a nice man when he feels he has been wronged and he has convinced himself he has been. Total bampot.

Other Scots words that fit like a glove - bawbag and numpty laugh

The whole problem blew up because the van is starting to complain a bit about everything being asked of it and taking them to the airport would have had to be in the van, the car is too small for 3 people, luggage and a dog. I asked if I could instead put them on the coach to save myself the 160 km round trip. He decided I was saying I would leave them to find their own way to the airport and when I texted back saying no but I thought they might like to explore the coastal towns he said I was changing plans every five minutes and he no longer trusted me and was taking the car to Malaga. WTF?

I also half suspect this was his intention all along and he had been waiting for me to say something, anything, he could twist out of context and into an excuse frustrated
Molly, there's a fab dog walk opposite up hills - I shall go a short distance, then throw her ball up the hill. Repeatedly laugh

I need to be on top of my game with tons of energy boxing
Let´s hope he left the ticket in the caruh oh
Biff, I can't deal with people like that mumbling
That change everything to suit the chip on their shoulder.
There is a great Cork word to suit him. He's a langer !
Excellent!!!!

And yes Irish by origin, Scots by residence, Paranoid by inclination. laugh

laugh
Molly, she due to board the 4pm bus to Malaga any second, she'll maybe check the blogs on the journey dunno or you may have to wait till later for the severe lashing that's inevitably going to follow from that comment laugh
Z, there is WiFi on Alsa crying
I travelled on an Alsa bus from Almunecar to Nerja and I only got to know about the free wifi in the bus when I was disembarking the bus!! doh mumbling mumbling

One other time, in a bus, to another place, I tried going into their free wifi thing but only to find out it was in Spanish!!! mumbling

Better to torment others than yourself as Himmler used to say.
Yes and that too, Molly.

Will post some pics of our Malaysian-Chinese version soon when I go back to my hometown some where next week wink
Now i read you, mmmmm he thought you would take him back to airport and you wiggled out of it because YOU thought he may want to see the coast line, and then he had to hopp on a coach back to airport, mmmm bummer that, no matter who paid. So now your both revenged blues

Sorry Zmountainman just thought she would have saved all this bother. She can sell camper when she finds her bolt hole, then buy a car with joint monies from Scotland and camper van. Simpliz. It must have cost a bob or two haveing someone bring car over at her expense and flying him back home

Well Biff hope it all works out for you both.grin I think me myself would be pished a bit if plans were changed in the middle of everything JMO teddybear
Last year I visited my sister, who also lives in Spain (different part, nearer Daniela) and at the end of the holiday she asked if I would mind taking the coach back to the airport, which was a fair trek away.

Of course I don't mind, I said. I even paid for it without thinking twice about it, although she did offer to pay

Now if I had been this guy I would have stolen her car and taken it to the airport and told her she could collect it from there.

I think that's the difference.
As for my car - which I now have, it is nose to nose with the camper exchanging stories - I love this car, and have done since the day I got it. It has never let me down, it is fun to drive, it parks anywhere, it's quick, and light on petrol, and it has buckets of personality. It is also unusual, there aren't very many of them around. I like that too.

Second hand cars have very little value in the UK. Second hand cars in Spain do keep their value (no rust) and are quite expensive. I could have sold mine for perhaps £2K. I could have bought the left hand drive version of the same make and model, same age, for 5K euros. I have no idea whether the owner has looked after it as I have looked after mine. I have no idea whether it is as cheerful and friendly as mine. It did have a higher mileage. And 5K euros will be far better spent on the house, instead all I have to find is the money to to get my car matriculated, plus what I paid the bawbag to bring it to Spain, plus the 5 hours of my life I wasted today thanks to the bawbag.

I might just get this whole explanation printed off in both English and Spanish and make laminated copies because I will be saying it a lot otherwise.

sigh

The only thing that worries me, after a month of driving the van, is that my car seems to have shrunk. It seems smaller than before. laugh
Hiya Biff.. I haven't read all the comments.. but a word of advice.. if he's used your car for a holiday with his best girl then you might wanna have it properly cleaned.. hole
Haha it was the cleanest I've ever seen it. Even had petrol in the tank. Not sure how much of that was to do with the post I put on Facebook - where we have mutual friends - and the shocked comments made there laugh
(I didn't name him on FB)
Well if it is THAT clean then something definitely went down! lol
either that or the GF loves to clean, in which case she could maybe come visit in the future. When she's dumped him for being a bawbag rolling on the floor laughing
Mimi, I never got connected today. I tried, bus to Malaga, bus to airport, nada. moping

But then my smartphone hates me

I hate it more
Haha.. fair point.. thumbs up

Just out of curiosity what make is your vehicle? The condition you've mentioned intrigues me.. Can you post any photos?
Oh yea I've seen a couple of those around here as well.. cute indeed and spacious too.. thumbs up

Drive safe Biff.. hug
